Chapter 814 It's Over
The next morning, Blake sent a message to remind Abella.
Blake: [Abella, you're coming to my concert tonight, right? It doesn't matter if Phillipe comes or not, the important thing is you!]
Blake: [This is your first time coming to my concert! You don't need to queue; I'll have my assistant add you on WhatsApp, and she'll take you in through the side entrance.]
Blake: [Is there any song you want to hear tonight? I'll sing them all for you. There are also a few special guests performing with me tonight, and I'm sure some of them are your idols! Do you want their autographs? I'll have them sign for you in person. Or do you want a photo? I'll arrange for them to take pictures with you one by one!]
Blake: [You'll come at seven tonight, right?]
At the end, Blake added an eagerly expectant emoji.
Abella finished her work around two in the afternoon, took a bath, and went to bed around three, only to be woken up by Blake's message at six.
Abella: [Blake, why are you up so early?]
Blake: [It's all because of Steven! He said you'd rather go to work than come to my concert, and I worried all night. I finally waited until dawn to message you. Why are you up so early? I was worried about waking you up.]
Abella could only reply: [Phillipe and I will come tonight.]
Blake was overjoyed and immediately took a screenshot to send to Steven. Then he replied to Abella: [Do you want to have dinner with me backstage? What do you want to eat? I'll have it delivered!]
Before the concert, he couldn't go out to a restaurant easily, as he might get mobbed by fans.
Abella: [I will eat with Phillipe.]
Blake felt a bit hurt but still responded: [Alright, see you tonight. Don't forget, it starts at seven.]
Abella: [Okay.]
After that, Abella couldn't sleep anymore. She handled some work on her phone, took some documents to the office, and started a meeting. During the meeting, she noticed a few young department heads constantly checking their watches.
"Is there something going on?" Abella's gaze fell on them. They were all distracted, constantly looking at their watches.
"Ms. Medici," The deputy head of the finance department said with a flattering smile, "Blake is having a concert at Empire Vista City tonight. I finally got a ticket. Can I leave early this afternoon?"
The other department heads also looked at her expectantly, as if their hearts were already at the concert.
Abella realized for the first time how popular Blake was. She asked calmly, "Isn't the concert starting at seven?"
It was only ten in the morning, and they were already so distracted.
"Ms. Medici, I didn't expect you to follow this too. Are you a fan of Blake?" An employee asked excitedly.
"I'm also a fan of Blake, but I only got an outside ticket," Another female employee said regretfully.
"Getting a ticket at all is good. I had to buy mine from someone else for three thousand dollars."
Abella was surprised to hear that a ticket could be sold for such a high price.
"So, are we meeting at the supermarket across from the stadium at four to support Blake?"
"Yes, I brought my suitcase with banners, glow sticks, hats, etc. We'll pull up the banners, wear the hats, and chant in unison."
Abella didn't expect so much preparation just to watch a concert.
"Ms. Medici, can we leave early this afternoon? This concert is a once-in-a-lifetime event! I've liked Blake for many years! Please." A few people pleaded with Abella.
Some of the older directors couldn't stand it anymore.
"My daughter also likes Blake. She even skipped her piano lesson this afternoon!"
"My son likes him too. He says Blake is handsome and responsible, and he wants to be a shining person like him when he grows up."
"My mom is seventy years old and asked me to get her a ticket. She says Blake looks so sweet and she really likes him."
Abella didn't expect Blake's fan base to be so broad. "Alright, you can leave early this afternoon."
Seeing that their minds were not on work, Abella said directly, "Meeting adjourned."
As soon as she said that, some of them immediately gathered to talk about the concert, looking very excited.
In the afternoon, Abella got into Phillipe's car, planning to have a meal and then go backstage to see Blake. But as soon as they reached the intersection near the stadium, they were stuck in traffic.
The steps outside the stadium were packed with fans who had arrived early.
With three hours to go before the concert, the nearby roads were already jammed, and many traffic police were deployed to maintain order.
All the billboards around the stadium were rented by fans, displaying Blake's photos.
Some fans even rented buses, covering them with Blake's pictures.
Abella didn't expect Blake to be so popular, nor did she expect all the nearby restaurants to be filled with fans.
"I'll find a place to park," Phillipe said, also surprised by Blake's popularity.
Traffic police were directing traffic ahead.
Just waiting for the traffic light took Abella half an hour.
Finally, the traffic moved a bit, and Phillipe drove to a nearby parking lot, but there were no spaces. They ended up parking at the nearest branch office's lot.
"Didn't expect we'd end up eating the employee meal at the branch office," Phillipe said with a laugh as he opened the car door for Abella.
Abella found it amusing too. "But it's close to the stadium. After we eat, we can just walk over. No need to drive."
Otherwise, they could be stuck in traffic forever.
Phillipe rarely visited this branch office. As he and Abella entered the elevator and reached the lobby, the person in charge, Ramon Jennings, saw them.
"Mr. Bourbon. Are you here for an inspection? And this is?" Ramon quickly stepped forward to shake Phillipe's hand and nodded at Abella, who looked stunning.
"My fiancée, Abella Medici. We're here to try the employee meal." Phillipe replied.
Hearing that, Ramon was shocked.
Oh no, he hadn't received any notice that Phillipe would be inspecting the cafeteria standards.
What should he do? There wasn't even time to clean up or add more dishes.
"Is there not enough food?" Phillipe noticed his discomfort.
"No, I'm just worried that Mr. Bourbon and Ms. Medici might not like it. It's just ordinary home-cooked food," Ramon said quickly. "Please follow me!"
