Chapter 876 No More Snatching

He never thought Abella would actually pull the trigger.

"I missed," Abella said, pressing the gun back against Louie's head. "Next time, it won't be a warning."

Everyone gasped and stepped back, thinking Abella might really kill Louie.

Theo saw a glimmer of hope. He hadn't expected Abella to turn the tables so quickly.

Just as he thought they could leave safely, someone attacked Abella with lightning speed.

"Ms. Medici, watch out..." Before Theo could finish, a handsome yet sinister man engaged Abella. Their fight was so fast and intense, it was like a scene from an action movie.

Louie was stunned that Dennis had come to his rescue. He touched his head, relieved to be alive.

Dennis was a formidable fighter, unmatched by most. Abella was in trouble now.

Louie thought, 'Good, let this girl learn that there's always someone stronger. She won't be so arrogant next time. Or rather, there won't be a next time if Mr. Medici has his way.'

Abella's punch landed on Dennis's chest, making him step back. Was he injured?

Dennis was surprised by Abella's strength and precision. She wasn't just any girl; she was exceptionally agile.

They clashed again, and soon Dennis's powerful forearm struck Abella's back. She took the hit.

"Ms. Medici..." Theo could hear the impact.

'Ms. Medici must be in pain. This damn man, doesn't he know how to treat a lady? Hitting Ms. Medici's back like that...' Theo cursed in his head.

Abella hadn't expected Dennis to land a hit on her. She smirked coldly and attacked again.

Dennis was intrigued. "Who are you?"

To escape from Netherhaven, drive like a pro, and fight this well. Was she trained by some organization?

Ordinary people didn't have such skills and courage.

Abella kicked Dennis in the abs, noting his solid muscles. He must work out regularly.

"What are you thinking about?" Dennis teased, smirking. "My abs?"

Everyone fell silent. The tone had suddenly shifted. Dennis sounded almost like a rogue.

Abella struck again, hitting Dennis's chest. His expression changed; he hadn't expected her to be so ruthless.

Meanwhile, Louie and Theo started fighting, and others scrambled for Cruz. Abella wanted to help, but Dennis blocked her.

In the chaos, someone shouted, "Mr. Medici, Cruz... he's dead!"

Everyone stopped and looked. Abella rushed to Cruz's side, but Louie wouldn't let her touch him. Theo knocked Louie's hand away. "Ms. Medici knows medicine. What do you know? Step aside!"

Louie had never been humiliated like this by someone else's subordinate. "What does knowing medicine have to do with it? He was shot. You go after the shooter; I'll take him to a doctor."

"He was shot in the abdomen. It's not fatal, but the bullet is poisoned. He's beyond saving." Abella's words left Louie speechless. Even though she was talking to Theo, Louie couldn't help but retort, "Nonsense, he's still breathing."

His chest was still rising and falling.

Louie looked at Dennis. "Mr. Medici, I'll take him for emergency treatment."

Dennis nodded.

"Ms. Medici..." Theo blocked Louie's path, wanting to ask Abella if they should take Cruz. He was their only lead.

"No need. He's beyond saving. The poison is too strong." Abella had no intention of taking him.

Everyone looked at her skeptically. Could she really tell what poison was used just by looking at the wound? How was that possible?

But if it wasn't possible, why would she suddenly give up on Cruz, whom she clearly wanted?

"Retreat." At Abella's command, Theo threw a smoke bomb.

"Not this again!" Louie had never seen such a smoke bomb in all his years. The smoke was thick and lingering, and it made him disoriented for a few seconds, unable to control his limbs.

Dennis reached out, but only grabbed one of his own men.

Abella had been right there, but now she was gone.

When the smoke cleared, Abella and Theo were nowhere to be seen. Dennis smirked coldly, intrigued. "Chase them."

This time, he would pursue them personally.

Sean was leaving the auction when he saw Abella and an unfamiliar guy get into a car and speed away like they were fleeing for their lives.

At the same time, Dennis and his men arrived.

Sean suddenly understood. Forgetting the necklace he had just won, he stepped forward. "Mr. Medici, are you chasing that girl from the racing team? The one from Boeing?"

"You've seen her?" Dennis's gaze fixed on him. "Which way did she go?"

"I let her go..." Sean saw the crowd of men behind Dennis and mustered his courage. "She's my girlfriend. Please, Mr. Medici, let her go."

"Your girlfriend?" Dennis scrutinized Sean. Since when did Sean have a girlfriend?

Sean held a delicate box.

He opened it. "I just bought this necklace for her at the auction. She really is my girlfriend. Otherwise, why would I, a grown man, buy this?"

Sean was known for his integrity and never played around with women. Everyone in their circle knew that.

Sean had once done Dennis a huge favor, so this time, Dennis decided to let it go, repaying the debt.

"I'll let her go tonight, but she won't be so lucky tomorrow." He turned and left with his men.

Sean breathed a sigh of relief and quickly sent people to find Abella. He had to warn her about the danger she was in!

If she trusted him, he could protect her.

On the way to the doctor, Cruz was trembling, barely holding on.

"Stay with me!" Louie urged. "Don't you want to live? You heard them; the poison is deadly. If you tell me the truth about the fire, Mr. Medici will get the best doctors in the world to save you! He knows many famous doctors! Two are already waiting at home. Just hold on for five more minutes..."

Cruz suddenly grabbed his hand, shaking uncontrollably.

"Don't shake... Tell me, who was it... If those two doctors can't save you, there are others. Just tell me everything you know..." Louie leaned in to listen.
