Chapter 211 Another Big Business
"Alright." Abella went upstairs to her room and as soon as she opened her phone, she found over a dozen unread messages.
She had been busy in the lab just now, so she had put her phone on silent mode and didn't have time to check it while driving back.
One of the messages was from her older brother.
"Abella, big brother is leaving the country early tomorrow morning. If there's anything happening at home or if you encounter any grievances, just tell big brother, and he will handle it."
"Our parents have been running the corporation for many years. Although they are shrewd in the business world, they don't bring that cunningness into our family. They don't constantly observe and suspect their own family members. It's not that they are naive or biased."
Abella understood the hidden meaning in his words. Big brother didn't overlook Lola's clumsy tricks; he was well aware of them.
Big brother was right, who would treat their own children as bad people and constantly suspect them of having malicious intent?
Especially since this child had previously shown exceptional talent in various fields, excelling in music, chess, calligraphy, and painting, and had sincerely respected and honored them without any ill intentions. That's why they loved and cherished her.
"Dad is a man, he has a broader mindset, and mom has been pampered by dad for decades, so she is more innocent. If something happens, don't hide it, you can tell me. I will always support you. Goodnight, my little sister. Have a good sleep."
Abella's slender fingers lightly touched the screen, and she quickly replied, "Don't worry, big brother. I will handle it. Goodnight."
Then she exited the chat box and opened the message sent by Phillipe.
"Did you see Grandpa and Grandma today? Are they feeling better?"
"Have you eaten?"
He also sent a few photos of himself eating.
"I don't have much of an appetite for meals without you by my side."
Through the screen, Abella could almost picture his slightly disappointed handsome face, with the corners of his lips subconsciously turning upwards.
"Are you still busy?"
"Miss you."
"I wonder what my fiancée is doing right now."
Abella knew that if he wasn't worried about disturbing her, this man would send more messages to her.
Her fingers lightly touched the screen, and Abella quickly replied, "Just arrived home."
Phillipe immediately called, "Finally, I've been waiting for you. Haven't seen you in 16 hours, can't sleep."
"Can you sleep now after we finish the call?"
"Hearing your voice makes me miss you even more, can't fall asleep."
Without her by his side today, he couldn't sleep.
In whatever she does, she always comes to mind.
On her way home from work, she wonders who picked her up, where she went, and whom she met.
While eating, she wonders if the meal is something she likes, if she finished it well, and if she enjoyed it.
When she has free time, she wonders what she is doing and why she hasn't replied to her messages.
Every minute and every second, her figure emerges in his mind.
Everything he does reminds him of her.
Perhaps, this is love.
"Did you see Grandpa and Grandma today?"
Abella responded casually, "Yes, I did."
"Are they feeling better?"
"They might take more than twenty days to wake up."
"I heard their condition is quite complicated..." Phillipe paused for a moment and continued, "But as long as you're here, I believe that no matter what happens, you will find a solution."
Abella smirked, "You have faith in me?"
"Yes," Phillipe affirmed, "In this world, people are divided into two categories, the dead and the living. As long as they are alive, you will definitely find a way to save them."
Abella thought about the project she was researching, which not only cost a lot of money but also had made little progress. With a hint of helplessness in her tone, she said, "But there are also many diseases that I can't help with."
"That's why you conduct research privately. You want to help more people and give those who have been sentenced to death by their illnesses a chance to live. You've already put in a lot of effort."
"Do you think I have unrealistic dreams?"
"No, on the contrary, I think that healers should be as selfless as you. That is what truly noble character means."
Abella felt a warmth in her heart upon hearing this.
"You're amazing," Phillipe grinned, "With such an excellent fiancée, I am proud."
After a while, Abella finished her phone call, took a shower, and went downstairs for a late-night snack.
"Miss Abella, are you done with your work? This bowl of bird's nest with milk was specially made for you by Madam." Lauren brought out the bowl of bird's nest from the kitchen, smiling, "Why not give it a try?"
Seeing that she hadn't rested yet, Abella couldn't help but speak up, "It's so late, you should go and rest. There's no need for you to serve here."
"I'm not tired." Lauren smiled, looking kind.
Abella had a few bites of the bird's nest and asked softly, "Did my brother talk to Lola tonight?"
Lauren was taken aback, "Miss, how did you know?"
"I guessed," Abella shrugged.
"You guessed?" Lauren was even more surprised. Abella really knows everything, as if she can predict things.
She didn't dare to hide it and honestly reported, "Tonight, I was in the garden and indeed saw Young Master and Miss Lola chatting on the second-floor observation terrace. But I couldn't hear what they were saying because of the distance."
"It's okay," Abella said casually, "I know what they talked about."
"You know?" It must be a warning to Lola, hoping she would change her ways, or something like that.
"Did Mom make two portions of this bird's nest?"
Lauren was surprised once again.
Miss Ella knows everything!
"Madam indeed made two portions, yours is bird's nest with milk, Miss Lola's is bird's nest with red dates. I was originally waiting for Miss Abella to finish eating before calling Miss Lola down, to prevent you from running into each other again." Abella didn't expect her to be so thoughtful, as her parents have always treated Lola and her equally...
It's Lola's own narrow-mindedness...
After finishing the supper, Abella went upstairs first.
She turned on her computer, entered an exclusive software, and inputted a series of chemical equations, then studied the medicine her grandparents would need later. This software can calculate the synthesis of different drugs, their potential side effects, and is very helpful for research.
After a while, she received another call. "Boss, we have another big order! This time the rich guy says he wants as much as we have in stock! Work hard and do more drawings tonight..."
"Is it someone I know again?" Abella asked with a smirk on her lips.
"I guarantee this time, absolutely not! It's a foreigner!"
"Alright." Abella confidently agreed, "What time does he want it?"
"It's best to be before 8 a.m. tomorrow morning because I need to rush the goods from the factory. We only have one day."
"Okay."
After hanging up the phone, Abella continued to be busy. On the other side, Lauren came to Lola's door and knocked.
"Miss Lola, Madam made supper for you. It's bird's nest with red dates that you usually like. Come down and eat."
