Chapter 933 Abella Cried

"Hey, you know how kids these days are always glued to their phones? Let's have a little challenge. Whoever can go thirty minutes without touching their phone wins fifty million dollars."

Abella's ears perked up. Was this for real?

"Just don't touch the phone, that's it?" She asked.

"Exactly. You can do anything else, just don't look at the screen. Wanna give it a shot?" Dennis replied.

Although Abella thought the game sounded pretty boring, since Dennis suggested it, she decided to humor him.

"Sure."

"Alright, go ahead and respond to any messages on your phone first. We'll start in five minutes. I'll be waiting in the living room."

Watching Dennis leave with a spring in his step, Abella couldn't quite understand what he was so excited about. She quickly replied to her messages, told her team to contact her in half an hour if needed, then turned off her phone and headed to the living room.

Just then, Dennis sent Blake a message: [Abella cried tonight.]

Blake immediately replied: [What happened? Who upset her?]

Dennis: [Want to know the details? Transfer fifty million dollars to me, and I'll tell you.]

"Blake knew Dennis was trying to scam him.

Blake: [Abella won't cry easily. Besides, I can just call her to find out.]

Dennis: [Abella is really upset right now, she probably won't answer your call. But you can try.]

Dennis sent the message and saw Abella coming downstairs. He added: [Gotta go, I need to comfort Abella.]

Abella placed her phone on the coffee table, and Dennis did the same. "Game on."

They sat facing each other, and Dennis started talking about his years in Britonia.

Meanwhile, Blake cautiously sent Abella a message, asking what she was up to. When she didn't reply, he called her.

After ten minutes, Blake started to panic. He messaged Dennis again: [What's going on? Don't mess with me! If you want money, I can give it to you, but did someone really upset Abella? Did you see it yourself? How could you let someone hurt her while you're around?]

Dennis heard his phone buzz and knew Blake was getting desperate.

Sure enough, Blake kept messaging and calling him nonstop.

"Busy, Dennis?" Abella was surprised by the number of calls Dennis was getting in such a short time. "Why don't you answer? It wouldn't break the rules."

"No way," Dennis checked the time, seeing eight minutes left. He continued telling Abella about how he first discovered the hospital fire was suspicious.

Blake couldn't hold back any longer and transferred the money.

Dennis's phone buzzed with a transaction alert, and seven minutes were left before the game over.

Blake: [Dennis, I am wrong. I shouldn't have tried to scam you before. Please tell me what's wrong with Abella? Is it serious? I can't stand the thought of her crying.]

Blake: [I transferred the money, now tell me!]

Blake: [Dennis, just reply, please! Just once!]

Dennis glanced at his phone screen. Abella smirked, "Dennis, you lost."

The rule was clear: not even a glance at the phone.

"Haha, I lost. Couldn't resist. I accept my defeat..." Dennis picked up his phone and saw that the fifty million dollars had been transferred. He entered Abella's account number and sent the money to her as the prize.

Then he replied to Blake: [See if you dare to scam me again.]

Blake couldn't believe Dennis had tricked him for fifty million dollars. He really thought something had happened to Abella!

Blake: [You're unbelievable!]

Blake was speechless but relieved to know Abella was okay.

Abella turned her phone back on and saw the transaction alert from Dennis. "Dennis, it was just a game. I don't need the money."

She hadn't intended to win Dennis's money, just to pass the time.

"No way. We agreed to the rules, and we have to stick to them. Besides, giving you the money makes me happy. And here's a secret: earning this money was super easy for me!" Dennis seemed in high spirits, smiling as he said, "You should get some rest. I'm off to take a shower."

Abella watched him go upstairs, then checked her phone. Blake had messaged her half an hour ago, asking what she was doing, and had called eleven times.

"Blake, did you need something?" Abella called back, "I was playing a game with Dennis."

"What game?" Blake's intuition told him it had something to do with the fifty million dollars he lost.

"Dennis suggested a challenge to see who could go half an hour without touching their phone. The winner gets fifty million dollars."

So that was what happened!

Dennis tricked him to make Abella happy. What a rascal!

But in the end, the money went into Abella's account, so Blake didn't mind. As long as Abella was happy, he was happy.

Kimberly was walking in the garden with Beckett when a servant approached. "Mrs. Medici, Mr. Hall is here. He's waiting at the door. He says he hasn't heard from Lola in two days and is worried. He came to check on her."

Kimberly hadn't expected Henry to be so devoted to Lola. "Tell him Lola made a mistake and we've locked her up."

"Yes, Mrs. Medici." The servant quickly retreated.

"Henry's a good kid, such a shame..." Beckett couldn't help but comment, "If Lola knew how to appreciate him, she'd have a wonderful life with Henry."

Bonnie, walking behind them with Caleb, overheard and said calmly, "If she knew how to appreciate things, she wouldn't be in this mess. It's her own fault."

A while later, the servant returned. "Mrs. Medici, Mr. Hall wants to see you. He seems even more anxious."

"I won't see him." Kimberly didn't want to waste her breath.

"Mr. Hall said he'll wait outside until you agree to see him."

Beckett sighed, "Henry is very persistent. If you don't see him, he might really wait outside for a night or two."

After all, it was this persistence and patience that made him successful at a young age and won Lola's heart.

"Fine, bring him to the garden."

Since he wanted the truth, she might as well show him Lola's true colors.
