Chapter 1010 Soon We Can Attending Their Wedding
"I think they're pretty easy to get along with," Abella said with a gentle smile. "Especially Rainey, she's so adorable."
"Wait till she causes trouble, and you have to clean up her mess. You won't find her so cute then," Phillipe said, turning the steering wheel as the car made a turn onto the next road.
Abella chuckled softly. "Sounds like she's given you quite a bit of trouble in the past."
"Trouble is putting it mildly," Phillipe thought of all the mischief Rainey had caused over the years. "Her parents couldn't handle her, so they dumped her on me. When they saw it worked, even Jerry and Elara stopped trying to manage her and just sent her to me whenever there was an issue."
"No wonder you guys are so close," Abella laughed.
"Are we?" Phillipe glanced at her, asking.
"Of course. It's obvious they respect you deeply and see you as an older brother. And you treat them like your own siblings. Your bond is just like that of a real family."
"You've smiled a lot tonight," Phillipe noted, looking at her. "I rarely saw you smile before. Ever since you left the Wilson family and returned to the Medici family, you've been smiling more and more."
"Maybe I've changed," Abella acknowledged her own transformation. "It's like I've suddenly found both my weakness and my armor."
They chatted all the way until the car pulled up to the entrance of Long Island Manor.
"They're here! That's Phillipe's car! Phillipe brought Abella back," Kimberly said, watching the surveillance screen. "When should we set off the fireworks? Now? Or wait until Abella comes inside?"
Behind her stood ten adults, five sons, and Elsa.
"Once the fireworks go off, we all run out and give her a big surprise," Ethan suggested.
"Should we bring glow sticks or something else?"
"Aren't we doing a light show after the fireworks? Let's not overdo it, or she'll miss some of the best parts."
"True, but... holy crap, they're kissing!" Blake's eyes widened in disbelief as he watched the two on the screen embrace and kiss.
"Fuck," Dennis muttered, shocked that Phillipe would dare kiss their precious sister right in front of their house. She was their treasure!
"Dennis, get back here." Blake grabbed Dennis's shirt. "Their relationship is heating up, don't go ruining it."
"This is great... I think we'll be attending their wedding soon!" Winslow said, feeling both happy and moved.
"A lively wedding this year would be wonderful," Carl smiled, looking forward to it.
"If Abella weren't still in school, I'd hope they get married this year so we could have grandkids next year!" Vanessa was so happy just thinking about it.
"I need to get in shape so I can help take care of the kids," David said, full of anticipation.
Beckett felt a mix of reluctance and hope, wanting Abella to find a good partner, his emotions pulling him in different directions.
"Damn, they're still kissing..." Dennis's impatient comment earned him glares from all the elders.
"Shut up, can you be more refined?" Kimberly scolded, hitting his arm. "Look at how polite and respectful Phillipe is."
"That polite scoundrel... kissing for so long and still not done," Dennis grumbled.
"What did you say?" Kimberly raised her hand to hit him again, and Dennis quickly dodged.
Phillipe reluctantly let go of Abella, his eyes still dreamy, his voice tender and alluring. "Tomorrow, everyone will know you're my fiancée."
He looked at her lips and couldn't resist kissing her again. "I've been waiting for this day."
"See you tomorrow," Abella said as she was about to go inside.
Phillipe hugged her tightly again. "I'll be there earlier than the others tomorrow."
"No need to come so early, just meet at the destination."
"No way, this is such an important moment in your life. I want to be by your side to witness it together," Phillipe gently adjusted her hair. "Get some rest tonight. I'll message you when I get home."
"Okay."
At that moment, the lights at Long Island Manor dimmed, and dozens of brilliant fireworks exploded in the night sky, the sound deafening.
"How about that? Wasn't it perfect timing to set off the fireworks now? It'll give them an unforgettable memory," Kimberly said, still watching the surveillance screen, seeing the young couple look up at the fireworks. "Can we screenshot this moment? It's so beautiful!"
With the night sky illuminated, the surveillance only captured their silhouettes, looking up at the fireworks.
The scene was so beautiful that Blake had already taken out his phone to snap a picture.
The fireworks continued to bloom one after another, dazzling everyone until they finished. Then, joyful music started playing at Long Island Manor, with lights illuminating the manor, showing videos of their family's happy moments over the past six months.
It was like a movie, frame by frame, scene by scene, presenting the most beautiful and heartwarming light show for Abella.
Abella hadn't expected her parents to prepare such a surprise, especially timed for when Phillipe was with her.
Phillipe held her hand tightly, and as he glanced at her, he saw the warmth in her eyes and the smile on her lips.
The light show, synchronized with the music, displayed all the joy Abella had experienced with her family over the past six months. She hadn't realized how much more she had smiled since being with her family.
As the light show ended, the music stopped, and the video showed the whole family happily wishing, "Merry Christmas, Abella!"
Every family member's smiling face appeared in the video.
The lights at Long Island Manor came back on, and the main door opened, with all the family members rushing towards her.
"Merry Christmas, Abella!"
Abella smiled, her eyes a bit misty.
Perhaps she hadn't expected them to go to such lengths for this surprise. Smiling, she said to her family, "Merry Christmas."
"Abella, the outfit you need for tomorrow is ready. I will take you to see it," Dennis said, stepping forward and grabbing Abella's wrist.
Abella didn't forget to turn back and tell Phillipe, "Drive safely and take your time."
"Phillipe, make sure to come tomorrow..." The elders surrounded Phillipe, giving him a warm send-off before letting him leave.
