Chapter 944 Abella Gives a Gift
Damon heard the voice and turned around, surprised and delighted. "Dennis? You're back? When did this happen? You didn't even call me for a meal? Perfect timing, let me introduce you to my girlfriend."
As he spoke, he casually draped his arm around Abella's shoulder, grinning mischievously as he introduced Dennis. "This is..."
Abella recoiled from his touch in disgust.
Damon awkwardly smiled and continued, "I just told you about the Medici family. This is a member of the Medici family, my cousin. Tell him your name."
This action only fueled the anger in Dennis and Phillipe's eyes.
"She's your girlfriend?" Dennis laughed angrily, pulling Abella behind him and landing a punch squarely on Damon's face. "Since when did my sister become your girlfriend?"
Thalia screamed in shock, unable to believe what was happening, and even more stunned that Dennis had just admitted Abella was his sister.
The store employees quickly ushered the customers into the lounge area, offering them tea and asking them to wait patiently. Abella had some matters to attend to, and the manager would soon give them discount coupons.
The blinds were lowered, cutting off the outside world, and the customers couldn't see what was happening outside.
The store door was closed, leaving only Dennis and his group in the women's section.
Damon, caught off guard by the punch, fell to the ground, stunned. Before he could react, Dennis grabbed his collar and landed several more punches.
"Still dare to touch Abella? Fuck, do you want to lose your hand?" Dennis beat him mercilessly.
"Is there some misunderstanding?" Damon, beaten black and blue, sat on the ground, retreating in a panic. "She's your sister? I've never seen her before."
"There are plenty of things you haven't seen. Do I need to introduce my sister to you? Who do you think you are?" Dennis beat him again. "What kind of nonsense are you spouting? Look at yourself in the mirror!"
Dennis grabbed his hair and slammed his head into the mirror on the pillar.
The mirror shattered into pieces, and blood flowed from Damon's forehead. Thalia, terrified, fell to the ground, scrambling backward.
Everyone said Dennis was unpredictable and ruthless, and today it seemed true. He even beat up his relatives.
"Just because you're a relative, you think you're important?" Dennis kicked him in the face and then said to the person behind him, "Phillipe, your turn."
Damon's vision was blocked by the blood streaming down his face. Hearing Phillipe's name, he squinted to look around.
Phillipe had already helped Abella take off the jacket Damon had touched, and replaced it with a new one from the store. He patted Abella's head and walked step by step toward Damon.
Damon couldn't believe it was really Phillipe. Phillipe was here? Who was this Abella?
"Trying to take my girl?" Phillipe kicked him in the face. "You've got guts."
"No, no, no..." Damon fell onto the glass shards, unable to get up from the pain. "You misunderstood, I was just talking nonsense."
"Abella, don't look. You'll have nightmares tonight," Dennis said, grabbing some wet wipes from the counter to clean his hands. He gently pulled Abella's sleeve, guiding her to the other side. Though they couldn't see the commotion, Damon's cries of pain and Thalia's terrified sobs were unmistakable.
"Is he really our relative?" Abella asked, curiosity piqued.
"Just a distant one who likes to throw our name around to cause trouble. I've been wanting to teach him a lesson for a while, just never had the time."
Abella nodded, now understanding Dennis's harshness. Damon had it coming.
"Mr. Bourbon, I was wrong. Please, no more. I won't do it again." Damon, no longer arrogant, knelt on the ground, begging Phillipe for mercy.
"Phillipe," Abella called out softly.
Phillipe paused, then said, "You have ten seconds to get out."
The manager pressed the door switch, and as soon as the door opened halfway, Damon scrambled out, rolling and crawling. Thalia, her legs weak with fear, stumbled out after him, fleeing the scene in a panic.
The manager, experienced in handling crises, calmly instructed two employees to clean up the mess.
"Dennis," Phillipe said as he walked over.
Dennis tossed him the wet wipes, knowing what he wanted to say. "The Whitley family has nothing to do with the Medici family. Do whatever you want."
Phillipe nodded, understanding. He had long heard of the Whitley family's misdeeds. This incident was the perfect opportunity to uproot them, clearing obstacles for the Medici family.
"Not scared?" Phillipe's gaze fell on Abella.
Abella smiled, "Do I look like someone who scares easily?"
Phillipe then contacted his men to deal with the Whitley family as quickly as possible.
"Seems like having a fiancée like you isn't bad for Abella," Dennis commented. At least it saved him a lot of trouble. He had wanted to take down the Whitley family for a long time.
"Thanks for the approval, Dennis," Phillipe said.
Abella noticed how quickly the two had become friendly and looked at their clothes. "They look great. I'll pay for these outfits. No one can argue with me."
Phillipe and Dennis exchanged glances, surprised that Abella would buy them clothes. Both smiled happily, looking at Abella with joy.
The mess was quickly cleaned up, and when the customers emerged from the lounge, everything looked normal except for the missing mirror on the pillar, as if nothing had happened.
Abella paid for the clothes, carrying two shopping bags. Phillipe and Dennis immediately stepped forward, each taking a bag, looking like they had received a reward, their expressions full of happiness and satisfaction.
Louie returned from the restroom, sensing something had happened but unable to pinpoint what. Seeing Dennis and Phillipe in such good spirits, he was surprised at how quickly they had become friends.
When Abella paid, she also asked the manager to pack several other styles from the store into the bags. So when Dennis and Phillipe opened the bags, they found more than one outfit, their smiles widening in delight.
"Abella, you gave me so many clothes?" Dennis was thrilled, finding not just suits but even casual wear. He took out his phone, snapping photos and sending them to others.
Having Abella's favor felt amazing!
