Chapter 765 Invitation

Abella knew deep down this whole thing was way more complicated than it seemed.

For the entire KT Group to take a nosedive, the puppet master behind this had to have some serious pull.

Reporters swarmed Abella, bombarding her with questions, asking if she had any comments.

Abella, dead serious, said, "If you use a skincare product and it works wonders at first but then you start getting allergies, dermatitis, or other nasty stuff, stop using it right away. If you wait, even if the redness and itching go away, you could still end up with hyperpigmentation, dark spots, or infections. Trust me, you don't want that hassle later."

The reporters were floored. Shouldn't she be trashing her rival's dirty tricks and hyping up her own brand?

Why was she all about looking out for the consumers?

Abella continued, "When you're buying stuff, make sure it's FDA-approved and has a full ingredient list. If it doesn't, steer clear. Also, be wary of products sold online or on Stories without any guarantees. Be smart and use them sparingly."

The media folks were left speechless after she finished.

Netizens following the drama started loving Beauty Skincare Group even more. Even though their products were sold out, they kept placing orders, willing to wait.

After the reporters cleared out, Bonnie invited Phillipe over for dinner at her place.

To keep things low-key, the three of them left in separate cars.

Beauty Skincare Group employees were buzzing.

"Mr. Bourbon is such a hottie. When he stood next to Ms. Medici, they looked like a power couple."

"So it's not just me who thinks that. Especially when he stood up for Beauty Skincare Group, it was like he was defending his girl."

"This is the first time I've seen Ms. Medici. I didn't expect her to be younger than me. She's already a CEO, and I'm still grinding at a regular job."

Abella was the first to get back to the manor.

David and Vanessa rushed over with fruit platters, snacks, and coffee, fussing over her.

"Abella, were you scared? That KT Group is so shady. They pulled this nasty stunt 'cause they're jealous of your success." Vanessa poked a piece of fruit with a fork and brought it to Abella's lips, trying to soothe her.

"I just saw the news. The cops found out that several KT Group products had hormones, causing severe inflammation in many users. KT Group had paid off these folks before, but now it's all over the internet. Their products are unsafe, and they slander others. It's so shady!"

David and Vanessa were fuming but still made sure Abella had some snacks to calm down.

"This is like free publicity for Beauty Skincare Group. It's a win." Abella smiled faintly, totally unfazed, and her attitude was super chill.

David suddenly felt their worries were pointless. Abella's vision and capacity were way beyond ordinary. Otherwise, she wouldn't have built such a huge group and managed so many people.

Just then, another news story popped up on TV.

Hundreds of folks who used KT Group's skincare junk and ended up with nasty inflammation swarmed Beauty Skincare Group's front desk. They were desperate, hoping the CEO could help fix their messed-up skin.

Their faces were a horror show—rotten and deformed.

"Their faces," Vanessa stammered, "It's too scary. KT Group has no soul, doing this to people."

"Abella can't treat all these people," David blurted out, "If she had the time, she'd have opened a hospital."

Abella watched the tearful consumers on TV, feeling a pang of compassion.

She knew how much a face meant to a woman.

But now, these folks' faces were wrecked, looking like something out of a nightmare.

Just then, Abella's phone buzzed.

"Ms. Medici, I hate to bother you, but a ton of consumers are at our front desk, begging for your help with their faces. They're willing to pay ten, even a hundred times the price for our products."

"I saw the news," Abella replied calmly.

"You watch the news too?" The subordinate was surprised but quickly asked, "So what do we do? Should we help them? There are over 400 people here, not counting our staff and the media."

That number was insane. Treating each one would eat up a ton of Abella's time.

Plus, Abella's treatments alone made way more money than the products.

"Tell them Beauty Skincare Group will launch a few repair series products soon, targeting different symptoms. They’ll be out in about half a month."

"That's brilliant! It helps them and makes money," the subordinate said, then hesitated. "But, Ms. Medici, do you have time?"

"I'll make time to develop the products."

"Awesome, I'll spread the word and set up a pre-order link online so they can place orders in advance."

"Okay."

After Abella hung up, Bonnie showed up. David and Vanessa were all over her, praising her for backing Beauty Skincare Group.

"Caleb's so lucky to have a wife like you," Vanessa gushed.

"Phillipe was here to support too. He was the first to arrive, even before us," David added, thinking Phillipe was genuinely into Abella.

"Phillipe isn't here yet?" Bonnie looked around and said, "I invited him to dinner at home."

"What? He agreed? We need to tell the chef to whip up more dishes. We can't neglect him," Vanessa said, heading to the kitchen, looking thrilled.

"I'll go too," David followed Vanessa. "We need some fruit for after the meal. I wonder if Phillipe drinks. I'll pick a few low-alcohol options to have a drink with him."

"I think you just want to drink yourself."

After they left, Bonnie whispered to Abella, "I know this isn't simple. KT Group's just the fall guy. The real mastermind hasn't shown up yet. I'll dig into this and make sure they don't slander Beauty Skincare Group for nothing."

Abella's gaze softened. "No need to trouble yourself, Aunt Bonnie. I got this."
