Chapter 1100 Captured

Sam still went over and kicked him. "Screw you! Playing dead? Ignoring me? Just wait, I'll deal with you later!"

"Sam, just leave me," Noah's eyes filled with tears. He didn't want to be a burden.

Sam crouched down. "Damn it, get up! If you don't want me to die, then hurry up!"

Sam wanted to carry him.

"Sam, my leg's broken," Noah admitted.

He didn't want to stay behind either. He wanted to keep fighting alongside Sam for Abella, but his leg hurt so much he couldn't even stand.

Besides, Sam already had someone on each shoulder, and the weight was causing his wounds to bleed profusely.

Noah knew Sam couldn't carry him.

If Sam insisted on taking him, they might both die here.

Not just him, there were others with tears in their eyes too.

They were friends with broken limbs, covered in blood.

After being knocked down by the drugged men, they held their breath and played dead, narrowly escaping death.

But they hadn't expected Lola to plant bombs in the church. The thought of dying here after all made them feel a bit sad.

"Sam!" A person lying on the ground not far away shouted with all his strength, "I've had enough in this lifetime as your friend!"

The others echoed, "Enough!"

Sam's eyes instantly became wet.

"Life and death mean nothing. Dying for Ms. Medici is my honor."

"Protect Ms. Medici."

"With this chance, I can go chat with friends in heaven."

"Remember to send our blessings at Ms. Medici's wedding. Dress sharp, give good gifts, don't be stingy."

"No time left, run!"

The bombs planted in the four corners of the church were counting down: "Fifteen, fourteen, thirteen..."

Sam's feet felt like they were glued to the ground. There were so many friends he had fought alongside, he couldn't bear to watch them stay here and be blown to pieces.

Just then, Tony arrived with his team. "Friends, I'm here!"

Sam couldn't hold back his tears anymore; they streamed down his face.

Tony and his strong team started carrying everyone out, dead or alive.

"Ten, nine, eight..."

Not long after everyone ran out of the church, a loud explosion erupted, flames soared, and thick smoke billowed.

The whole world seemed to shake.

The massive shockwave threw everyone forward several feet.

Phillipe hit the ground and immediately ran to Abella. Despite the ringing in his ears and blurred vision, he accurately reached Abella, shielding her in his arms and covering her ears.

The explosion roared in waves, deafening.

But in Phillipe's embrace, Abella felt incredibly safe, as if all danger was kept at bay by his warm, strong hug.

Debris from the explosion hit Phillipe's back, but he seemed unfazed, still protecting Abella.

Countless fragments flew towards others, hitting heads and bodies.

When the explosion's force finally subsided and the smoke cleared a bit, Tony and his team started helping people up.

Beckett held Kimberly in his arms, feeling a sense of post-disaster relief. Seeing his wife covered in dust, his eyes glistened with tears.

Kimberly, knowing she was safe, finally released her fear and cried loudly.

Carl and Winslow, being older, were thrown several feet by the explosion and lost consciousness.

"Abella," Tony called, informing her about the two elders.

Abella emerged from Phillipe's embrace, checked her grandparents, and found they were okay, finally feeling relieved.

"I'll get them in the car first." As Phillipe carried Carl to the car, Abella noticed his injured back, his clothes torn, and blood flowing.

Her eyes showed a mix of gratitude and concern as she watched him carry Winslow next.

Tony approached Abella, reporting, "Ms. Medici, we caught them trying to escape."

Abella looked at Lola and the others tied up nearby, her gaze cold. "Take them back."

Lola knew returning meant trouble and protested, but Sam slapped her hard. "Shut up! You're in for it now!"

Sam's strength was immense, and Lola's left cheek, already cut by debris, was now bleeding more from the slap, causing her to wince in pain.

This Abella's subordinate had no sense of pity!

He could even hit such a pretty face.

"By the way, Ms. Medici, I haven't told you who the mysterious person is." Tony leaned in and revealed the name, making Abella's gaze even colder.

"We have them now," Tony reported.

"Let's go."

At Abella's command, everyone got in the cars, ready to leave, when her five brothers arrived.

Earlier, Lola had told them she had Carl, Winslow, Beckett, Kimberly, and Abella. She even sent photos.

Steven was in a neighboring city, Ethan on a mission in another city, Winston working on a big project, Dennis and Saskia on their first date, and Blake rehearsing.

Upon receiving the news, they all rushed over and had just arrived.

"It's over," Abella briefly explained the situation.

Her brothers couldn't believe Lola's madness; she had completely lost it.

Seeing Abella's injuries, they quickly urged her to get in the car for treatment.

On the way, Abella asked Sam, "Jace and Nash..."

"Don't worry, Ms. Medici. They've been taken to our base. When you have time, we'll give our fallen friends a proper send-off," Sam said.

"Good," Abella agreed. "Well done."

"Ms. Medici, you should rest. You're injured," Sam knew the drugged men hit with several times the strength of normal people, even their knife cuts were deeper.
