Chapter 204 Thoughts Revealed

After work, Steven brought Abella to Sunrise Hospital, parking the car in the VIP garage. Just as they got out of the car, they saw their family's motorhome approaching and parking in the spot next to them.

This floor was the VIP floor exclusively for their family, and other patients' families' vehicles couldn't enter, ensuring utmost privacy.

Mr. Medici helped Mrs. Medici out of the car, while Lola pretended to still feel pain from the previous fall and also asked her father for support.

As soon as they got out of the car, Lola linked arms with Mr. Medici on her left and Mrs. Medici on her right, smiling and saying, "Big brother, sister, you're here too?"

Steven's gaze fell on her arms, and he lightly said, "If someone didn't know better, they would think Mom and Dad only belong to you. We're all grown-up, yet still so childish."

It was unclear whether he was calling her childish for not understanding the ways of the world and being clingy, or if he was deliberately showing off in front of Abella.

Lola smiled sweetly, "Big brother is like saying that I'm taking over Mom and Dad. My injury hasn't healed yet, so I still need them for support..."

"Come, Abella." Steven ignored her, instead placing his hand on Abella's shoulder and gently saying, "Do you remember what big brother told you on the way here?"

"Don't worry, I remember it all."

Upon hearing this, Lola quickly grabbed Steven's other hand and curiously asked, "What secret did big brother tell sister on the way here? Tell me!"

"Sister, what interesting thing did big brother tell you?"

"Hand," Steven's gaze pointed towards her arm.

Lola pouted with grievances and reluctantly let go, "Big brother is biased, he lets sister touch but not me! Stingy!"

"Your sister just came back to this house, should I not treat her well? As for you, since you're on vacation, why not let big brother wait for your exam results tomorrow and enroll you in a foreign university, personally supervising your studies."

Lola didn't want to be supervised by her big brother. Who knows, studying under his guidance would be so dull and boring. Just take his rigid and routine lifestyle as an example, it would be enough to kill her several times!

Big brother must have noticed that she was purposely showing off in front of Abella, so he warned her with those words!

Big brother was too biased!

Abella, she didn't know what she said to big brother in the company, but it seems like big brother likes her even more now!

With these thoughts, Lola felt even more uncomfortable in her heart.

"Steven, I heard that you were with Abella all day today. Did you help her with some difficult matters?" Mrs. Medici stepped forward and held Abella's hand, naturally looking towards her eldest son.

Mr. Medici also quickly approached and held Abella's other hand. He asked with a smile, "Abella, your big brother didn't scare you, did he? He's usually cold, but today he visited you. Did he put pressure on you?"

"Big brother is very good to me," Abella answered honestly.

As Steven walked towards the elevator, he said, "Abella is very efficient at work, and she has strong abilities. She doesn't need my help. She's popular in the company, and everyone likes her."

"Is that so?" Mrs. Medici was delighted. "I've heard that everyone in the company likes her. Now that you mention it, I can imagine how popular Abella is in the company!"

"Yes, today an employee mistakenly thought I was going to lay people off. They even said they wouldn't work if I fired Abella," Steven said, gently glancing at his sister. "And many people requested that I give her paid leave."

"It seems that Abella is well-liked by many people in the company!" Mr. Medici was also very happy. It's not easy to achieve this. It's evident that Abella has put in a lot of effort usually.

Lola couldn't help but feel some dissatisfaction when she saw their affectionate family appearance. What kind of employee doesn't have eyes? If someone like Abella resigns, is it necessary for her to resign as well? Are they out of their minds?

And they even demanded a salary raise for her, lunatics! Probably, they were bribed by her to speak up for her, right?

"But what are your plans for tomorrow, with the SAT scores coming out? Will sister continue to manage the company or go to college?" Lola innocently asked, "I hope Abella goes to a rubbish college, at least she won't get a share of the family's wealth!"

Abella felt repulsed as soon as she heard Lola's affected voice, but luckily, Steven answered first, "Abella is planning to continue running the company."

"I have already spoken to the people at the company. Abella will go to school, and Joseph will be responsible for the small matters at the company. Abella will make decisions remotely for important matters. Even if Abella doesn't go to work, she will still receive her salary."

"That's a good idea!" Lola pretended to be happy. "Have the other people at the company agreed?"

"They have all agreed. It was a unanimous decision," Steven replied.

Upon hearing Steven's words, Lola felt infuriated. Were those people crazy? Not going to work and still getting paid, and it was unanimously agreed upon?

They must have reluctantly agreed, right?

"Sister, you're amazing..." Lola pretended to admire. "I wonder when I can manage the company like you, what do you think, Mom and Dad, big brother?"

Steven glanced at her and said, "You have been spoiled since you were little. Putting you in charge of the company may not be well-received."

Did that mean she wasn't fit to manage the company, but Abella was?

"I haven't even tried yet, and my brother is already discouraging me!" Lola pretended to act spoiled. "Mom, Dad, what do you think of my brother..."

"What your brother said is correct. You were raised as a delicate child, without any management experience!" Mrs. Medici agreed with her eldest son. "Just focus on studying for now. We'll talk about the future later."

"I understand!" Lola knew her mother was biased, but at this moment, she couldn't express it too clearly. She could only hold Mrs. Medici's other hand and say, "Mom, I'll do whatever you want me to do! Even if you ask me not to get married in the future, I will willingly stay by your side and serve you!"

"A girl cannot grow up without getting married," Mrs. Medici didn't agree with her view. "We don't need you to serve us, as long as you behave well, our family can live harmoniously, then I will be satisfied."

Lola understood her underlying message. "Mom, don't worry. With my sister around, our big family will definitely be livelier than before!"

The elevator door opened with a beep, and they appeared together on the twenty-second floor, the VIP floor.

This floor was not open to the public. All medical staff were here to serve the Medici family. When the head nurse saw them, she respectfully bowed, "Respected sir and madam, have you arrived?"

"This is my sister as well. She will be able to freely access this place in the future," Mrs. Medici introduced Abella, who was beside her.

The head nurse was slightly surprised but still respectfully greeted, "Miss Medici, hello!"
