Chapter 865 Duel Between Both Sides

When Abella was in the driver's seat earlier, Sean had noticed her features. She was absolutely gorgeous.

Last night, he only saw Abella's agility and skill, but now, seeing her standing in front of him, her figure and presence...

Sean was completely mesmerized, unable to look away until Sterling stepped forward to inspect. Sean then spoke up, "Let someone from another team do it."

Maybe fearing Sterling might be biased, a volunteer from another team stepped up. After a while, he said, "The turbocharger, clutch, and everything else are original. The top speed is indeed only 340."

"No way..." Sterling's face turned sour, unable to believe the results.

But the crowd was already mocking him.

"Just admit you lost."

"Embarrassing. They said it wasn't modified, and you're still giving a girl a hard time."

"Good thing he didn't inspect it himself, or he'd definitely claim it was modified."

"Are we still racing or what?"

"I think this round decides the winner. With Abella's speed, Sterling couldn't catch up even in ten rounds."

"I agree. We can announce the results now. It's just a Velocity Circuit. Drift Team has plenty of training grounds; just give it to her."

A voice from the crowd interrupted. "Mr. Medici is here."

Dennis walked over, exuding a powerful aura, causing everyone to instinctively step aside.

Sterling thought Dennis was there to back him up and called out, "Mr. Medici..."

Dennis told him to get lost.

Sterling retreated, humiliated. Dennis looked at Abella, recognizing her from last night, with her bun hairstyle and the same white sneakers.

"Where's Saskia?" Dennis didn't care if she was from the Boeing team; he just wanted to know why Saskia wasn't there.

"If you're friends, you can ask her privately. If you're not, why should I tell you?" Abella's tone matched her cool and aloof demeanor.

Sean was surprised by how pleasant her voice was, further impressed by her.

"Do you know who you're talking to?" Louie stepped forward to teach her a lesson.

Dennis chuckled coldly, a bit mischievous, "If I win, you have to answer my question."

"Then you'll never know the answer."

Dennis laughed again, impressed by her audacity, somewhat like himself.

"Do you think you can beat Mr. Medici?" A Drift Team member couldn't help but mock her.

She had no idea who she was up against.

"Can we start?" Abella didn't want to waste time.

Seeing Abella's complete lack of fear, even seeming in a hurry, as if this race was just a formality and she had more important things to do.

Dennis smiled. He'd seen arrogance before, but never like this. Fine, he'd show her what real skill was.

"Mr. Medici..." Sterling was shocked as Dennis got into his car.

"Mr. Medici, thank you..." Sterling bowed in gratitude, then complained, "She said if we lost, we'd have to crawl from the start to the finish..."

"That's your promise, not mine," Dennis rolled up his window, ignoring him.

Sterling was disappointed. He thought Dennis was helping him win against Abella.

Apparently, he was wrong.

The referee stood between the two cars, blew his whistle, signaling everyone to step aside.

"Abella..." Della wanted to warn Abella about Dennis's prowess, how he never lost any international race, always leaving the second place far behind.

But she hesitated, fearing it might pressure Abella and affect her performance.

"Go, Abella!" Clea from the Boeing team shouted, "You can win!"

Other Boeing team members joined in, "Go Abella! Go Abella!"

But the rest of the audience remained silent, not even daring to cheer for the Boeing team.

Meanwhile, the Drift Team was energetically chanting, "Mr. Medici! Mr. Medici! Mr. Medici!"

The atmosphere was intense.

Compared to them, the Boeing team's support seemed weak.

The countdown began, and the Boeing team held their breath.

Three...

Two...

One!

Both cars shot off the starting line, the wind lifting skirts and hair.

"What do we do, Clea," Della worriedly watched the red car speeding away, "I'm scared for Abella. No race has ever made Mr. Medici show up. If Abella loses, losing the Velocity Circuit is minor, but if they force her to stay with Sterling. Should we tell Saskia?"

"No need, don't worry Saskia. Let's see how it plays out." Clea tried to stay calm but was somewhat anxious. Dennis's reputation was formidable.

They knew Dennis was a top racer, but they didn't know he was Dennis from the Medici family, as he competed internationally in low-profile races, always wearing a helmet.

He never gave media interviews.

So almost no one had seen his face. Even today, they only knew he was handsome and a bit arrogant, but not his true identity.

On the giant screen, Dennis was slightly faster than Abella.

But Abella didn't back down, taking the lead after several turns.

Everyone was stunned. Someone was faster than Dennis.

Was she risking her life?

Was she really that fearless?

Dennis tried to overtake, but when he moved left, Abella's car moved left. When he moved right, Abella's car moved right.

Dennis smirked, accelerating close to Abella's rear, but she didn't flinch or give way.

Abella was certain Dennis valued his life more than hers and wouldn't crash, causing both to get hurt.

At such high speeds, a collision would be catastrophic for both cars and drivers.
