Chapter 540 Blocking the Way

She glanced at Abella, who stayed calm and thanked everyone before leaving the stage gracefully.

'Damn, Abella must be thrilled inside, but she acts all cool!'

No wonder Lola didn't like her. Now Elsa was disgusted too. Why did she always hold herself aloof?

Elsa secretly vowed to outshine her one day.

When Abella got back to the audience, folks from Medical University were in awe.

"Abella, you were incredible! How long have you been playing the violin?"

"You didn't just shine today; you made Medical University proud! You're amazing!"

"Abella, you're my idol now!"

Since Abella stepped onto the campus of Innovation University, she had been making Medical University look good, while they felt like they were holding her back.

"I feel like smashing my violin. I've practiced for years and I'm nowhere near as good as Abella," someone said, feeling down.

"Abella's skill is so perfect that I can't even be sure she is a human being instead of some performance machine!"

A freshman with such talent was a big deal.

"Talent always gets noticed," Abella encouraged them. "You can do it too. In upcoming competitions or in the future, aim to be irreplaceable."

"I used to think my violin was bad, too cheap, and that's why it didn't sound good." The girl who lent Abella the violin admitted, "But seeing you play it, I realized it wasn't the violin's fault; it was mine."

"Abella, if anyone talks bad about you on the forum, I'll be the first to defend you! You're so talented and kind. If anyone says otherwise, I'll fight them."

"You're smart, talented, beautiful, and kind. Who can compete with that?"

The crowd kept chatting around Abella until she told them to focus on the competition, finally getting them to quiet down.

Meanwhile, Lola was struggling with her feelings.

She had thought seeing Elsa lose would make her happy, but instead, she felt jealous and restless.

How could Abella be so amazing?

Her performance had even made Dominic, the chairman of the Violin Association, take notice!

Lola knew Abella was great at piano, but she hadn't expected her to be so good at violin too.

She and Maria had hoped Abella would mess up to dim her shine.

But Abella excelled at everything, making it hard to see her fail!

Lola clenched her fists, nails digging into her palms. She hated that Abella had learned so many talents!

Abella was supposed to be the least valued in the Wilson family!

She was supposed to be at the bottom!

But now, she had become someone unattainable, making everyone furious!

Where did she get her connections, and how did she learn so many skills so fast?

Elsa was fuming too.

Last time, Abella stood up for a waiter at the club, embarrassing Elsa and her friends. She still remembered it clearly.

And when her grandmother woke up, both families visited her in the hospital. Elsa had wanted to team up with Abella to kick Lola out of the Medici family, but Abella had shut her down coldly.

Abella had said, "Whether Lola stays in this family is none of your business. Say another word, and you'll be the first to leave the Medici family!"

Elsa wanted to discuss it more, thinking they were the true Medici daughters, unlike Lola. But Abella just gave her a warning look, not wanting to associate with her.

Because of this, her mother, Margaret, had scolded her harshly, saying Abella would never team up with her. Margaret called her stupid and foolish, always comparing her to Abella.

Now, Elsa needed to restore her dignity!

Half an hour later.

After watching the contestants, Abella got up to lead her team out. She needed to check on Josie and Joanna in their competition.

As they passed the backstage area, Elsa called out, "Abella, let's play a game of Go."

This caught everyone's attention.

Was Elsa challenging Abella again?

Someone quickly sent messages and ran to get more people to watch.

"I don't have time to play with you," Abella said, trying to lead her team away, but Elsa blocked her path.

"Just five minutes! Five minutes to decide the winner."

No need to play the whole game; whoever had more pieces in five minutes won.

Abella knew Elsa couldn't accept losing. Since she proposed Go, she must be good at it.

"You didn't even ask what Abella is good at and just proposed Go. Isn't that unfair?" someone retorted.

"Fine, no need to compete. Abella concedes."

"Accept your loss gracefully. If you can't, oh, I get it. It's because your teacher wants Abella as their last disciple, so you're feeling unbalanced."

"Abella, crush her. Show her there's always someone better."

"Let's go," Abella still didn't want to compete.

Elsa blocked her again. "Just one minute, one minute to decide the winner."

Abella raised an eyebrow. 'So eager to compete?'

Someone from Medical University couldn't help but retort, "Have you always been pampered and never lost, so you can't accept losing? Abella already said she doesn't have time, yet you keep pestering her."

"What do you mean, Elsa is the Medici family's heiress! And you are saying she is pestering Abella?"

"Exactly, Elsa competing with you is giving you face."

"The top scorer should be good at everything, right? It's just a one-minute game. We've spent more than a minute arguing here."

"Exactly!"
