Chapter 642 Too Infatuated
After Kimberly went upstairs, a few girls were in the garden, admiring the flowers, playing with water, and snapping lots of photos.
"No wonder this is the richest person's house; even the garden is stunning."
"Every time I come here, I'm blown away. It's way nicer than my place."
"Let's ask Lola to show us her walk-in closet later. Maybe she'll give us some new clothes, shoes, or purses."
"Sounds good."
Just then, a car pulled up outside the manor.
Phillipe got out and opened the door for Abella. "Do we have guests?"
Abella noticed several luxury cars parked at the entrance. "Looks like it."
"I'll sit with you in the garden for a bit before I go," Phillipe said, not wanting to intrude on the main hall but also not wanting to leave Abella. He pulled out a chair for her at a white round table.
Phillipe said, "When you have some free time, come over to my place. My mom just messaged me, insisting I invite you soon."
"Maybe in a few days," Abella smiled. "Mrs. Bourbon mentioned it to me too."
Meanwhile, Kimberly came downstairs after changing. As she reached the last step, she felt dizzy and almost fainted.
"Mrs. Medici, are you alright?" Lauren rushed to support her.
It took Kimberly a moment to steady herself. "I'm fine, just haven't rested well these past few days."
The Wren family had a big incident, and she and Beckett had been at the hospital with Zephyr and Sharon, worried they might do something drastic.
Today, Beckett told her to go home, shower, and rest, but she didn't expect to feel dizzy.
"Good thing you were here," Kimberly said, holding onto Lauren's hand. "I would've fallen without you."
"Mrs. Medici, you and Mr. Beckett haven't rested at home these past few days. You both look exhausted. What happened?" Lauren asked.
"Life's been tough," Kimberly said, not knowing where to start.
Sensing it wasn't the right time, Lauren said, "Shall I help you back to your room to rest?"
"No, Lola is still napping, and her friends are here. I need to entertain them," Kimberly insisted.
"You're in no condition to entertain," Lauren said kindly. "They're all young. With you around, they might feel uncomfortable. Let me bring them drinks and snacks. Ms. Lola will wake up soon and can keep them company. You should rest."
"Alright," Kimberly agreed. "Make sure to bring plenty of drinks and snacks, and have them stay for dinner."
"Will do," Lauren replied.
After helping Kimberly back to the master bedroom, Lauren went to prepare drinks and snacks. She brought them to the garden and saw Phillipe and Abella from a distance. She hurried over. "Mr. Bourbon, Ms. Abella, when did you return? Have some refreshments."
Lauren served Phillipe and Abella first, then went back to get more for the girls.
"Lauren brought us so many goodies, thanks a lot!"
"Lauren, long time no see. You look younger every time!"
"Your elegance is unmatched."
"Your skin is even better than ours."
The girls surrounded Lauren, showering her with compliments. She smiled politely and left after a few words.
The girls were about to take photos for their Stories when Sophie suggested, "There's a corner in the garden with rare plants, a swing, and custom-made furniture from Britonia. Let's take pictures there."
"Sure, let's go." The girls, carrying their food and drinks, headed to the corner. From a distance, they saw Phillipe and Abella sitting at a table, whispering and looking very close. "Who's that girl? Why is she in Lola's garden?"
"Isn't Phillipe Lola's fiancé? Why is he chatting with another girl here? What's going on?"
"Can someone explain this to me?"
Vivian sighed, "Why is Phillipe doing this? Lola is napping and can't see any of this!"
"Vivian, do you know something?"
"From the way you talk, it sounds like there's more to the story."
"Tell us, what's going on with Phillipe and Lola?"
"Why aren't you saying anything? Aren't we good friends?"
"Vivian, we've been through so much together. You wouldn't keep secrets from us, would you?"
Unable to resist their pleas, Vivian finally spilled the beans.
"What? So Phillipe is sitting in the garden with another girl, hoping Lola will see and change her mind? That's so romantic."
The girls couldn't help but feel moved. Where could they find such a good man?
Phillipe was young, handsome, rich, and so devoted in love.
"Don't tell anyone I told you this, or Lola will blame me for being talkative. But Lola is napping now and can't see Phillipe's efforts. Should I take a video and send it to her?"
"Yes, send it to her. Who would give up the richest man in the world for someone like Henry, who is so much less in every way?"
"Vivian, we'll pretend we don't know anything. She only told you, so you have to persuade her."
Vivian nodded, took out her phone, and secretly recorded a short video to send to Lola. Then she looked at the people over there.
"Is it good?" Phillipe asked, looking at the juice in Abella's hand.
Abella guessed his intention. 'He wants me to feed him.'
She took a sip of the juice and said slowly, "It's not good, don't try it."
"Then I must try it to see how bad it is."
Seeing he wouldn't give up, Abella handed him the juice. Phillipe took a satisfied sip. "Anything that passes through your hands becomes sweet, no matter how bad it is."
Abella picked up a piece of pastry, and Phillipe wanted to eat it too. This time, Abella directly brought it to his lips.
"That girl is too forward, flirting with Lola's fiancé right in her territory!"
"How shameless!"
"Does she really think Phillipe likes her?"
"Phillipe is just using her to provoke Lola, to make her change her mind. Does this girl really think she has some special charm?"
"That girl, aside from being a bit pretty, is no match for Lola."
"Exactly!"
