Chapter 833 God's Arrangement

Lola's heart turned cold; she never expected her parents to be so heartless this time.

They didn't care about her dignity in front of the servants.

"Ms. Medici, don't be sad. Mr. Medici and Mrs. Medici just want you to realize your mistake and correct it. In a few days, when their anger subsides, everything will be back to normal."

Lola knew it wouldn't be that easy this time, but she still politely said, "Thank you, Abbie. It's okay, you've already helped me a lot. The things have been delivered; it's just that they don't want to see or taste them. It was my fault to begin with, I don't blame them. You've done very well."

Abbie felt that Lola was really pitiful in this state. Beckett and Kimberly had never treated her like this before, but at this moment, she could only offer a few words of comfort to Lola.

Meanwhile, Abella parked her car in the basement garage of a large shopping mall and then took the elevator to Gate C on the first floor.

Nicole was already waiting there. When she saw Abella, she flashed a bright smile, "Abella, here!"

"Nicole, long time no see."

Abella was genuinely happy to see her standing there, looking much healthier and no longer as sickly as before.

"We haven't seen each other for a long time. I heard from Winston that you're either saving lives abroad or handling work domestically. You're very busy; it's really hard to meet you." Nicole said with a smile, linking arms with her.

"I'm used to this kind of life. Where's Winston?"

"I specifically sent him back; I didn't want him to interrupt our chat." Nicole linked arms with Abella and walked into a nearby beautiful flower shop. "I only found out later that Clara liked pink roses."

The flower shop owner seemed very familiar with Nicole and greeted her with an apology, "Today's pink roses are all sold out."

"Not even one?" Nicole had wanted to buy some to mourn Clara with Abella.

"No, they were just bought by this couple."

The couple turned around after paying, the man holding a large bouquet of pink roses.

The couple seemed a bit surprised to see Abella and Nicole, perhaps not expecting to meet them there.

"Mr. Wren, Mrs. Wren," Abella greeted first. They looked a few years older and not as spirited as before.

Zephyr and Sharon remembered how Abella had fought for over ten hours in the operating room to save their daughter Clara.

"Abella," Sharon nodded kindly at her and then looked at Nicole, "Nicole, are you here to buy flowers too?"

Hearing Sharon speak to Nicole in such a caring tone surprised Abella.

Back then, Zephyr and Sharon blamed Nicole for their daughter's death and harbored great hostility towards her. Seeing Nicole was like seeing an enemy; it was surprising they were now on such good terms.

Although Abella was puzzled, she added, "Easter is coming up in ten days. Nicole invited me out to buy some flowers to mourn Clara."

Zephyr and Sharon were also surprised and looked at Nicole. Sharon even said, "That's thoughtful. No need for flowers or gifts, just come over for a meal when you have time."

Abella was even more surprised that Sharon would invite Nicole to her home.

And for such an important holiday as Easter. What had happened while she was away?

"Winston and I will come. Uncle Zephyr, Aunt Sharon, we'll let you know the exact day in advance."

Nicole's way of addressing them surprised Abella even more. Were they really blood relatives, or had they accepted them as family?

"Alright, we'll go see Clara now. You two take your time shopping." Sharon nodded and left with her husband.

After they left, Nicole bought a bouquet of white roses, linked arms with Abella, and left the flower shop. As they walked, she said, "Surprised that I call them Uncle Zephyr and Aunt Sharon? I only found out after returning to my birth family that my deceased mother was her older sister. By seniority, I should call her Aunt."

Abella was surprised but also felt that everything seemed like God's arrangement. God took Clara away but didn't leave her parents lonely and helpless; instead, He arranged for Nicole to reunite with them.

"Do you remember a long time ago, Winston told you about us getting lost?" Nicole began to recount, "I only found out later that it was Clara's birthday that day. My aunt had invited our family of four to the amusement park. There were many people that day. Our family arrived first and played for a while. My mom then got a call saying my aunt had been in a car accident on the way."

Nicole continued to recount the events, "My mom was very anxious and told my dad to take good care of us before running off to help. The accident happened near the amusement park. The person who hit my aunt and uncle was a female driver who was very scared and kept apologizing, wanting to take my aunt to the hospital. My aunt was injured, so my mom decided to go with them."

"Unexpectedly, a truck suddenly changed lanes and sped up, crashing into them. The female driver was killed instantly. My mom, sitting behind the driver, realized the accident was imminent and immediately hugged my aunt to protect her and Clara."

"Later, my mom was left with a lifelong disability, and my brother and I got separated that day. I was sent to an orphanage, and my brother was taken by traffickers to a remote village. You know the rest."

Abella was moved by the story, realizing how much had happened to them.

"My mom searched for us for many years but never found us and eventually died of illness," Nicole said, her eyes dimming. "All these years, my aunt felt she owed my mom a life. If it weren't for her inviting us out, if my mom hadn't gone to take them to the hospital, if my mom hadn't hugged her tightly during the accident to protect Clara. I heard that steel bars from the truck pierced my mom's back and legs."
