Chapter 732 Dinner Cruise
Time was dragging, and the tourists around were all glued to the drama.
"Looks like they don't have the right hookups."
"Booking the top floor ain't for just anyone! It's a famous spot in the country!"
"She's probably just some regular rich chick, not that impressive!"
Lola was getting jittery hearing all this chatter. She glanced at Henry. "Is it done yet?"
Henry was still waiting on a text from his dad. It was his grandpa's birthday today, and his dad was probably too busy to check his phone.
He almost forgot about his grandpa's birthday himself, but luckily he had a gift ready. He planned to give it to his grandpa tonight and apologize.
He couldn't join them for dinner, 'cause it was rare for Lola to agree to eat with him.
"Let's wait a bit longer," Henry said softly.
Lola was feeling pretty ticked off. If it were Phillipe, just showing up would get them in. It all came down to Henry being useless!
He couldn't even book a place, making her look like a fool!
After waiting too long, Lola thought it was time to ask Caleb for help to book the place.
‘Anything's better than being mocked by these nobodies!' Thinking this, Lola blamed Henry in her heart. He was so useless that she had to ask Caleb for help with such a simple thing!
Just as she pulled out her phone, Henry got a reply from his dad. His dad had already sorted it out.
Henry said gently, "Lola, we can go in soon."
"Really? You booked it?" Lola hugged him excitedly. "That's awesome! How much longer do we have to wait?"
"Once the people upstairs come down, we can go in."
"Then I wanna stay a bit longer!" Lola raised her voice on purpose, and the tourists around groaned.
Lola felt super proud and finally gave Henry a smile.
Up on the top floor, Phillipe was hugging Abella from behind, taking in the whole cityscape of Pariz with her.
If he could, he'd freeze this moment in time.
"Abella," Phillipe's voice was soft and magnetic. "Do you like Verdania?"
"Do you mean for now or enough to settle down?" Abella replied, still looking at the view. "If it's to settle down, I prefer staying in the country."
"Then our future home will be in the country," Phillipe said indulgently. "Wherever you wanna live, I'll follow. If you wanna live off the grid, I'll go with you to the deep mountains. If you wanna achieve something, I'll be right there with you."
Abella turned slightly and smiled. "What if I'm just hungry?"
Phillipe, hearing this, touched her small belly and couldn't help but smile. "Take you to get something yummy?"
"Okay."
When they took the elevator down to the first floor, everyone was stunned.
"Doesn't that guy look like Phillipe?"
"He does look a bit like him. Is it really him? He looks even hotter than in the pics online!"
"Who's that girl? She's gorgeous!"
"Did they book the place? Did Phillipe book it for her?"
"That girl is so lucky!"
"Anyone know who she is?"
"Are they dating?"
Phillipe held Abella's hand and left, flanked by two rows of bodyguards.
"They look so perfect together. I suddenly feel like the love of rich folks is more enviable than TV couples!"
"I think that girl is so pretty, even prettier than celebrities!"
"Are they going to eat?"
Lola was in a good mood, but hearing all the chatter, she lost interest in the view from the top floor!
When Phillipe left the top floor, he bought a souvenir for Abella, a super mini SkySteel Spire keychain. At this moment, both he and Abella had one. Abella couldn't help but laugh. "When did you buy it? How come I didn't know?"
"When you were replying to a message."
Abella remembered. Bonnie had asked her if she was coming home for dinner, and she said she was eating out with Phillipe. She didn't expect that in such a short time, Phillipe had already bought something and given her a surprise.
"I really like it." Abella put the key on the keychain.
Seeing how much she valued his gift, Phillipe felt even happier.
Next to the SkySteel Spire, there was a Senova River. Phillipe had booked an entire boat to take Abella on a dinner cruise.
The entire boat's cabin was designed with transparent glass, allowing them to enjoy delicious Verdania-style food while admiring the enchanting scenery of the Senova riverside.
From Pariz Lady Cathedral to SkySteel Spire, from Lumière Palace to Honor Guard Hall, this boat allowed them to experience the unique charm of Pariz.
Other tourists on the boats saw their boat lit with warm lights, decorated with colorful roses at the bow and stern, like a boat straight out of a fairy tale, and couldn't help but look on with curiosity and envy.
"Why is their boat different from ours?"
"Theirs looks so much better! Look at how crowded our boat is, and it seems like there are only two people on theirs?"
"Did they book the whole boat?"
"We have to book tickets one or two weeks in advance, and the prices for the bow, midsection, and stern are different. But they can afford to book the whole boat. So rich!"
Abella didn't expect a regular date to be arranged so grandly by Phillipe.
Even the appetizers, main course, and desserts were tailored to her taste.
Lola was disinterested on the top floor of the SkySteel Spire, her mind full of the image of Phillipe holding Abella's hand as they passed by her.
Seeing the many boats lit up on the Senova River, Lola asked, "What's that?"
Henry explained gently, "It's a dinner cruise on the Senova riverside. Do you want to try it?"
"Sure." Lola nodded.
The tourists downstairs didn't expect this couple to be so extravagant, leaving after booking the place for less than half an hour.
"That's so extravagant, booking a place just to enjoy the view for less than half an hour. Is money as worthless as onions to rich people?"
Hearing the surrounding envy and amazement, Lola felt a bit better.
Henry held her hand as they walked forward. She didn't watch her step, busy editing the photos Henry had taken of her on the top floor.
"Look at these photos you took, they're so ugly!" Lola showed the phone to Henry.
Henry couldn't see what was ugly about it. "It's beautiful, the expression is beautiful, the pose is beautiful, even the scenery is beautiful."
"You made me look fat! Look at this angle, don't I look fatter than in the previous one?"
Henry looked closely. It did seem a bit fatter, but you wouldn't notice unless you looked carefully.
