Chapter 615 A Different Breakfast

Zephyr cried for a long time before saying, "Our poor daughter, she's so hurt, yet she still wants us to let him go."

Sharon immediately knew who "him" was and started crying too.

No one expected Clara to ask Zephyr to spare Winston.

She knew Zephyr's temper and that he'd want revenge for her.

She was scared Zephyr would go after Winston. Even on her deathbed, she used her last bit of strength to protect him.

Winston's eyes turned red.

He felt he owed Clara so much.

Time passed. Night turned to day, and the operating room lights were still on. Seven or eight doctors and nurses were fighting to save her.

Lola had dozed off several times. If it weren't for Sharon's occasional sobs, she would've slept more.

Just then, the operating room door opened, and a nurse hurried out.

Sharon, having cried so much, felt dizzy and unsteady as she rushed forward.

"Nurse, what's happening? It's been nine hours," Sharon cried. She had been in agony the whole time.

"Nine hours ago, the patient was critical. Dr. Medici has been doing everything to keep her going," the nurse explained. "I understand your worry, but please trust the doctors. They've been fighting for nine hours without rest."

Sharon nodded, tears flowing. "Thank you."

As the nurse passed Lola, Lola glared at her.

The nurse was puzzled but hurried away to continue her work.

Lola was annoyed. 'Why does this nurse keep praising Abella? What's she getting from her?'

Phillipe hadn't been able to reach Abella since last night. She had messaged him before her flight, saying she was leaving James' house and heading back to Long Island Manor.

But by seven in the morning, he still hadn't heard from her.

When Gabriel reported that Patricia and Diana had an accident, Phillipe found out Abella was still in the operating room trying to save Clara.

He brought breakfast and saw Zephyr holding his wife, both looking like they'd aged ten years overnight.

Beckett and Kimberly had tried to comfort them, but it didn't help.

Winston sat with his head in his hands, still tormented.

Only Lola noticed Phillipe coming. She smiled, waved, got some water, and rinsed her mouth to freshen her breath.

Phillipe brought breakfast to Beckett and Kimberly.

Beckett, looking down, saw Phillipe's shiny shoes and looked up. "Phillipe, you're here?"

"Abella is still inside," Kimberly said tiredly.

"I know," Phillipe said, seeing they hadn't slept all night. He pulled out the breakfast. "Eat something first."

He placed a hand on Winston's shoulder. "Winston, have some food."

Hearing Phillipe, Zephyr and Sharon, still sobbing, looked over.

"Mr. Wren, Mrs. Wren, you should eat too. The people inside will need you later," Phillipe said, making them tear up again.

"Phillipe," Zephyr began, but his throat was too choked up to continue.

Sharon covered her face and cried. "Clara is still in critical condition."

"That's why you need to keep your strength up. You don't know how long the surgery will take or what they might need you to do afterward. If you collapse now, who will take care of Clara later?"

Zephyr nodded, holding back his grief. "Go eat something," he told Sharon.

"But..."

"I'll eat too."

Zephyr had worked with Phillipe before and knew he was reliable. Today, he saw Phillipe's compassionate side.

After rinsing her mouth, Lola saw the breakfast Phillipe brought and her eyes lit up.

Finally, she had a chance to eat breakfast bought by Phillipe himself.

Just then, Phillipe got a call and walked away. "Yes, go ahead..."

Watching his tall, gentlemanly figure, Lola thought he was far superior to Henry!

In height, looks, demeanor, wealth, and power, Phillipe was way better than Henry.

If it weren't for Maria picking Henry from the wealth rankings, Lola wouldn't have wanted to settle!

Thinking about the breakfast Phillipe bought, which likely included a portion for Abella, Lola ate it all, nearly bursting her stomach!

Seeing Phillipe finish his call, Lola said, "The breakfast was delicious. Thanks for bringing such tasty food."

Then she exclaimed, "Oh no, I forgot to save some for Abella."

The elevator dinged, and Gabriel arrived with another breakfast. "Mr. Bourbon, I got caught in rush hour traffic on the way to your house. Your chef said Ms. Abella Medici hasn't had his breakfast in a long time, so he made extra today, hoping she enjoys it."

Phillipe said calmly, "She said the breakfast you bought was delicious."

Gabriel looked at Lola, surprised. "Thank you, Ms. Lola Medici, for the compliment. Your breakfast was from Savor Haven Bistro. If you liked it, I'll get it from there next time."

Lola was shocked to realize the breakfast she nearly burst her stomach with wasn't bought by Phillipe himself!

Phillipe had his chef make a special breakfast for Abella and had Gabriel pick it up.

The breakfast they had was just from Savor Haven Bistro.

Two hours later, the operating room door opened, and Abella and several doctors walked out.

Everyone rushed to her.

Kimberly was the first to ask, "Abella, how is Clara?"

"Did she make it?" Zephyr asked, worried.

"Why are only you doctors coming out? Where's Clara?" Sharon craned her neck to look inside. Not seeing her daughter, she burst into tears and collapsed. "Clara, my Clara."

"Sharon, don't get excited," Kimberly tried to help her up, but she was too heavy to lift.
