Chapter 654 Don't Bother Me

After Lola stormed upstairs, she was fuming. "She's so full of herself!"

"Totally! Her arrogance is off the charts!" Maria chimed in, equally upset. "If it weren't for Mr. Steven Medici, who would apologize to her? You even apologized first, and she still wouldn't accept it. She shouldn't have come back here in the first place!"

Lola, needing to vent, started throwing pillows and stuffed animals around. Still not satisfied, she tossed the tissue box, remote, and other items off the table. 'Damn it! She's just riding on Steven's support. Look at how smug she is!'

Maria added, "Mr. Steven Medici is really something. You just said a few careless words in front of friends, and suddenly you're vain. You didn't even hurt her, yet he took this and that away from you. You're already so sick, and you still have to apologize to her! It's too much!"

Lola replied, "Punishing me is one thing, but privately warning you and docking your salary for a month? Steven's really gone too far!"

She thought, 'Maria's been here for eighteen years! Even if she hasn't achieved much, she's worked hard! What does the issue between her and Abella have to do with Maria? Steven even punished Maria. She just said a few unfavorable words about Abella, without causing any real harm. Steven's actions are really too much!'

"Ms. Medici, I'm not worried about myself. It's just that your standing in Mr. Steven Medici's eyes has been mostly ruined by Abella."

Lola, still angry, suddenly had an idea.

She went to the kitchen. Seeing her searching for something, a servant quickly asked, "Ms. Lola Medici, what are you looking for?"

"I want to make a cup of coffee for Abella to calm her down," Lola asked gently, "Where are the coffee beans that Abella usually likes?"

"In this drawer," the servant offered.

Lola saw that the coffee beans Abella drank were even better than the ones she usually had!

"Is this the coffee Abella usually drinks? Are you sure?" Lola kept her gentle and kind demeanor.

"Yes, Mr. Steven Medici bought these a long time ago. He said Ms. Abella Medici drinks the same kind at the subsidiary. I usually make coffee for Ms. Abella Medici, so I wouldn't mistake it."

Lola felt a sense of disparity. Steven had secretly bought such good coffee beans for Abella, even stocking them at the company. It was really biased.

"I'll make a cup for Abella." Lola took the coffee beans and went to the coffee machine.

"Ms. Lola Medici, let me do it. These coffee beans are different from regular ones. You need to pay special attention to the amount and method to ensure the best taste for Ms. Abella Medici."

Lola didn't care about the taste; she just found it annoying. "Tell me, and I'll make it."

Seeing Lola's sincere intention to make the coffee, the servant guided her.

After the coffee was made, Lola personally brought it upstairs and knocked on Abella's door.

Abella, hearing the unfamiliar knock, guessed something was up and lazily said, "Don't bother me if there's nothing going on."

Lola's hand froze mid-air, unsure of what to do.

Maria, hiding nearby, was about to speak up when Lola signaled her to stay back. Clearing her throat, Lola softly said, "Abella, it's me. Can you open the door?"

Abella, sensing trouble, didn't bother to respond.

"Abella," Lola said, holding the coffee and knocking again. "Can you hear me?"

Abella let her wait a bit before opening the door.

Lola suppressed her anger, pretending not to mind, and smiled. "This is the coffee you like. I made it. Have a sip to calm down?"

"Did you poison it, or are you planning to spill it on me?"

Lola, caught off guard, quickly smiled. "Of course not. I'm sincerely here to apologize."

"Are you really here to apologize, or to teach me a lesson? Do you think I don't know?"

Abella had spent eighteen years with the Wilson family and had seen all kinds of tricks, especially after the Wilson family found Isla. Isla acted every day at home, and Abella had experienced all kinds of schemes.

Lola was just starting to play tricks, far from being a match.

"Abella, what do I need to do for you to accept my apology?" Lola looked at her sincerely. "As long as I can do it, I will."

"Really?"

Lola nodded earnestly.

"Then stay away from me, and don't appear in front of me. When I close the door, hold the coffee steady. Don't spill it on yourself or break the cup to frame me." Abella finished and closed the door unceremoniously.

Lola didn't expect her final plan to be seen through. Seeing Abella close the door, she stood there with the coffee, unsure whether to stay or leave.

Maria, hiding in the shadows, didn't expect Abella to be so smart.

She signaled Lola to leave. Lola, looking at the coffee in her hand, walked away, deliberately saying, "Abella doesn't want to drink it. It seems my sincerity hasn't moved her. I'll think of another way."

A servant polishing an antique vase nearby saw this and suddenly felt some sympathy for Lola. She had been waiting in the living room since morning, trying to apologize to Abella. After being humiliated by Abella, she still didn't hold a grudge and personally made coffee for Abella, only to be rejected again.

In the past, she had never suffered such grievances.

She just wanted to save face and said some unfavorable words about Abella in front of friends. It shouldn't have led to such a situation.

"Ms. Lola Medici, you're still not well. You should go back to your room and rest," said a servant named Abbie, who was about the same age as Lola.

Seeing someone on her side, Lola was secretly pleased but pretended to be magnanimous and disappointed. "It's okay. Nothing is more important than getting Abella's forgiveness."

Abbie, seeing her leave, suddenly felt that Lola wasn't inherently bad and had just made a mistake.

After returning to her room, Lola's demeanor changed. She was no longer weak and dejected but instead smelled the coffee in her hand, which was richer and more aromatic than what she usually drank.

In eighteen years in this house, she had never had such expensive coffee. This small cup cost four hundred dollars.

She slowly savored the coffee, and an idea formed in her mind.
