Chapter 195 Understanding the Truth

Mr. Medici and Mrs. Medici looked at each other as if they had doubts. Was someone orchestrating all of this?

Who manipulated Grace? Who wanted to harm Abella?

Grace sobbed while bowing. "It's my fault. When I saw Miss Abella return to this house, Miss Lola was being neglected, so I resented Miss Abella and wanted to find an opportunity to embarrass her... I intended to make her stumble, but I didn't expect it would be Miss Lola and Maria who ended up falling..."

As she spoke, she cried and knelt in front of Lola. "I'm sorry, Miss Lola. I didn't expect to harm you. I'm really sorry..."

She ultimately took all the blame upon herself...

Lola's heart ached. "Grace, although you cared for me, you used the wrong approach. I haven't been neglected in this household; my parents treat me well."

"I'm sorry, Lola, I disappointed you so much that it nearly caused our parents to be angry. I let you down."

"I'm sorry, Miss Lola, I have let you down after all these years of your kindness..." Maria added fuel to the fire, "Grace, you shouldn't have taken the opportunity to delete the surveillance footage. By doing so, others might think that I intentionally spilled the oil and conspired with you to delete the evidence to harm Miss Abella. If that were true, I would truly feel ashamed..."

"I'm sorry, it was my own mistake, it has nothing to do with you." Grace knew that Miss Lola would definitely compensate her even more afterwards, so she took all the blame upon herself.

"No one instructed me to do this; it was my own jealousy towards Miss Abella and my own desire to deal with her. It has nothing to do with Miss Lola..."

"You can leave; this home will no longer keep you. Under the name of the Medici family, you and your family are not allowed to set foot here!" Mrs. Medici said, looking at Bia again, "You leave as well. Anyone who dares to disrespect Abella will meet the same fate!"

"Yes!" The other servants all bowed, thinking, "Madam is so good to Miss Abella!"

Grace and Bia tearfully thanked the lady of the house again, bid farewell to Lola, and apologized to Abella...only then did they go upstairs to pack their things.

"Now, it's time to settle your account." Mrs. Medici's eyes fell onto Lola, with a hint of coldness.

Lola hurriedly hugged her legs and cried, "Mom, please listen to my explanation. It's true that I used to have feelings for my brother-in-law, because from childhood until now, he has been my unofficial fiancé. It was natural for me to admire him. But then, one day, my sister appeared."

Lola wept pitifully, "I couldn't control my feelings for him, and I made a mistake by saying something I shouldn't have to my brother-in-law. Maria scolded me harshly afterwards, and I realized my mistake. I swear to heaven, I will only treat him as a brother-in-law from now on! If you don't believe me, ask Maria. I haven't even seen my brother-in-law during this time! How could I possibly be involved with him?"

Maria quickly chimed in, "Madam, Miss Lola is telling the truth. Since then, she already has a boyfriend!"

Mr. and Mrs. Medici were even more shocked, "A boyfriend?"

"Yes, it is Mr. Henry Hall, the eldest son of the Hall family. He has been pursuing Miss Lola since middle school, for a total of six years. Recently, Miss Lola was completely moved by him and agreed to give their relationship a try..."

Maria explained earnestly, "Because they've only been together for a few days, there are still too many uncertainties, so we haven't told you intentionally!"

"We originally planned to tell you after the end of summer vacation..." Lola said with a shy and sweet look on her face, showing that she truly had developed feelings for Henry.

"Are you really in a relationship with Henry?" Mrs. Medici half-questioned and half-doubted.

"Yes, madam..."

"I accompanied Miss Lola all the day. I can testify! I've seen them chatting often until late at night, and they've had more than one date! These days, Miss Lola frequently goes out, just to meet him!"

"Maria!" Lola called out mockingly, as if surprised that Maria had revealed her secret.

Maria hurriedly responded, "Miss Lola, if you have someone who cares about you, the Master and Madam will be delighted. It's alright to speak up. And if you don't believe me, Mr. Hall will show up tonight and take Miss Lola to the movies. Then you will know if what I said is true!"

Mr. Medici and Mrs. Medici exchanged glances. If Maria and Lola were lying and randomly mentioned someone, how could it be that this person happened to have plans to take Lola to the movies tonight? It seemed like they really were involved...

If Lola truly had someone she admired, it might be a good thing. She wouldn't have to pine over Phillipe anymore. They knew Lola well enough that if she couldn't let go of Phillipe, she wouldn't agree to be pursued by another boy and be with him!

So, they really are in a relationship...

Lauren couldn't help but say, "Earlier, Grace asked Abella to call Phillipe to prove her innocence. Can't Lola also call Mr. Hall and have him confirm if they are truly in a relationship?"

"Lauren, don't you trust Miss Lola? Or don't you trust me? Do you think I'm lying? How could Miss Lola casually enter into a relationship with someone? Besides, if I made it up just now, how would I know that Mr. Hall is free to take Lola to the movies tonight!"

"And, Miss Lola and Mr. Hall only started dating a few days ago. Calling now would only make people feel confused for no reason, and it would affect their relationship!"

The Hall family's background is also decent, although it's not as impressive as the Medici family's, the difference is not significant...

Henry also looks good and is a flexible child.

Mrs. Medici continued, "Then why did you bully Abella in private?"

"Madam, you have misunderstood!" Maria once again took over the conversation and helped explain. "It's not Miss Lola's fault that Grace acted on her own and targeted Abella privately just because she didn't like her. It shouldn't be blamed on Miss Lola!"

"Just because Grace is usually good to Miss Lola, it doesn't mean she can pin her own misdeeds on Miss Lola. That would be too unfair for Miss Lola! Miss Lola never hit or insulted Abella. Most likely, it was Bia and Grace misbehaving and disrespecting Abella!"

"Dad, Mom, if I really bullied my sister, may lightning strike me and not let me live!" Lola refused to believe it and confidently made a solemn vow, knowing that it wouldn't come true. As a result, she became even more harsh in her words...

"I will die when I step out, either from being hit by a car, choking on food, or being hit by falling objects..."

"That's enough!" Mrs. Medici couldn't take it anymore. "If you truly have no other intentions towards Phillipe and aren't instructing anyone to bully Abella, then it's fine. But if I find out that you are bullying Abella and have fantasies about Phillipe..."
