Chapter 359 Guiding Her? I Can't Do It

In the meantime, Mrs. Medici was leaving the office, arm in arm with Mr. Medici, while the department head practically bent over backward to bid them farewell.

"Mr. and Mrs. Medici, take care!"

Outside the door, Mrs. Medici noticed only her second son was there. She thought, “Where was everyone else?”

"Where's Abella?" Mr. Medici inquired, "I haven't had a chance to talk with her..."

"She's not done with her drills, but she'll be home for dinner after she wraps up," Ethan replied.

"That's wonderful!" Mrs. Medici was overjoyed at the thought of her darling daughter finally coming home after so many days at school.

She'd been worried sick these past few days—concerned Abella wasn't eating or sleeping well, or that someone at school might be giving her a hard time...

Mr. Medici chuckled with relief, "Well, you'll finally get a good night's sleep! Let's ask the kitchen staff to prepare all of Abella's favorite dishes for dinner, especially more of those Australian shrimps she loves."

"That’s right. And that fish..."

Hearing this, Ethan couldn't help but wonder, “Am I even their son??”

“I have been away for months, yet all they talk about is what my sister likes, not a word for me. They walk away, seemingly in a rush to get home and start dinner preparations...” Ethan thought.

He felt utterly forgotten…

Ethan felt a little jealous...

Elsewhere.

Liam caught sight of Abella as she came back. He had some questions he wanted to ask her. But he hesitated, thinking, “With so many students around, it doesn't seem right to speak up.”

Abella, who saw him almost approach her several times and then turn anxious, couldn't help but find it amusing.

Finally, unable to endure it anymore, Liam instructed everyone to go for a run as usual but kept Abella behind.

"It's all good," Abella reassured him as if she knew what he was worried about.

Liam could hardly believe his ears. Gazing at the charming face in front of him, he asked in amazement, "Really? You're not kidding, are you?"

"Why would I do that?" Abella raised an eyebrow.

"No punishment? No demotion? Not expelled?" Liam was ecstatic, grasping Abella's shoulders in excitement. He said, "You must have put in a good word for me! I knew you're a good girl..."

“...” Abella thought. She glanced down at his hands, indicating perhaps he should let go.

Liam quickly understood and was startled, hurriedly letting go...

Minutes ago, in the office, the memory of Phillipe and Ethan grilling him one after another was still vivid. Liam thought, “Just thinking about it sent chills down my spine...”

He hadn't expected the girl to have such a formidable background. She was guarded by two men who seemed like guardian angels watching over her and giving her their unwavering support...

“And not just them, but her parents, the Medicis, and her several older brothers...” Liam thought.

Elsewhere.

After much contemplation, Ethan pulled out his cell phone and dialed a senior's number.

"Mr. Edward, it's me."

"Ethan, haha, what brings you to call me today?" The cheerful laughter of an elderly man came through the phone.

"To be honest, Mr. Edward, I have a favor to ask of you today."

Mr. Edward's voice remained warm and joyful, "Let's hear it."

"Well, there's someone close to me who's exceptional in medical skills, with great aspirations and a rare talent. I was hoping Mr. Edward could be her mentor, guiding her professionally."

“Last night, Abella mentioned that after graduation, she’s going to dedicate herself to medicine to save more lives.”

“That certainly aligns with her aspirations!”
“Mr. Edward is a giant in the medical field. If he were to personally mentor Abella...”
“Then undoubtedly, Abella would become the most brilliant star in America's medical community!” Ethan thought.

Mr. Edward was somewhat surprised on the phone. He hadn't expected Ethan, always so self-reliant and staunch, to actually reach out for his help.

Mr. Edward asked with profound earnestness, "This person you speak of, is she important to you?"

Thinking of his sister, Ethan said with a softened voice, "Honestly, she's my long-lost sister."

"Abella?" Mr. Edward asked

"You know her?" Now, it was Ethan's turn to be taken aback. He thought, “How did Mr. Edward know my sister's name?”

Mr. Edward laughed heartily over the phone, waving off the idea, "Can't do it. I can't do it..."

"Mr. Edward?"

Before Ethan could inquire further, Mr. Edward said, "You see, Abella was my student, but her medical skills have already surpassed mine..."

Still laughing, Mr. Edward said, "Dr. Abbott, she's beyond my teaching now."

“Abbott??” Ethan wondered.

Ethan was in disbelief. “The legendary Dr. Abbott, known for miraculous cures and bringing people back from the brink, is my sister?” He wondered.

"You just got home, right? You must not know much about your sister... Spend some time with her, and you'll understand soon enough."

Ethan was completely flabbergasted, never realizing the joke was on him...

Meanwhile.
"My dear, you've been wronged!" Principal Wilson, upon hearing the department head's roundabout report, immediately called Abella. "I’m on the way, and I'll be there soon. What kind of nonsense is this? How dare they pick on my precious granddaughter! If I don't make a scapegoat out of Allen Corp and make its shares lose a few billion dollars, my name isn't Wilson!"

Even through the phone, Abella could picture his indignant, proud expression.

She couldn’t help but smile at his over-protectiveness. "It’s over now. Be careful on the way, and tell the driver not to rush. We don’t want any accidents."

"On my own turf... someone dared to bully you... Be it Tom, Dick, or Harry, thinking they can mess with you—they’ve got to watch out, not happening!"

Principal Wilson was so furious he could barely contain himself. "Tomorrow, I'm calling a meeting. Every supervisor and above will know exactly who you are. They'll remember your importance, mark my words!"

Principal Wilson only stepped out for a bit, and chaos ensued. He worried about what might happen to his darling granddaughter if he weren't around.

"It wasn't me who lost out today." Abella gently nudged him until she could feel his rage beginning to fade. "I'm heading home tonight to have dinner with Ethan," she continued. I'm not coming to do the experiment with you."

The old man was somewhat surprised. "Ethan's back?"

"Mm-hmm."

"Ethan has a very high-ranking, demanding job. It's tough, and it's dangerous. I bet he won’t be around for long this time. Alright, go have dinner with him. And skip the upcoming training, too. Spend some time with your family."

Abella had scarcely felt the warmth of family over the years, and now that Ethan was back, she'd have one more person to care for her—a good thing indeed.

Hearing Principal Wilson's suggestion, Abella protested, "But how can I do that?"

"Don't you mind what your classmates say," he advised. "When the school was recruiting, we made it clear that any straight-A student can choose when to attend classes. The school won’t call you out for coming in late, leaving early, or missing without a cause. That’s a privilege for a student with perfect scores, and you should make use of it!"

Abella chuckled, "Ethan and I are having dinner tonight. Don’t worry about me. We can work on the experiment when I get there."

"Alright."

He couldn’t really do it without her anyway...
