Chapter 1090 You Come Alone
Henry watched Abella walk away and couldn't help but call out, "Hey, wait up!"
Abella stopped and turned to face him.
"There's something I forgot to tell you," Henry said, his voice sincere as he met her gaze. "You need to watch your back. There's someone out there trying to kill you."
Abella already knew about this mysterious person; Henry had mentioned it before.
"In the past, I was worried about Lola's safety, so I let him manipulate and threaten me. Before you told me the truth about the fall and the car accident, I was still trying to keep that guy calm. He wants me to act by midnight tomorrow. He wants to hear about your death. If I don't do it, he'll come after my whole family."
Abella hadn't expected this.
"I used to hope he'd come up with the final antidote to ease Lola's suffering, so I had to pretend to obey him and follow his orders. But now, I don't care about Lola's fate anymore. That guy can't use it to threaten me. I'll protect my family myself. You need to be careful."
Abella nodded, "Thanks for the heads-up."
Sam, waiting outside the hospital, saw Abella walking out with a determined look and quickly opened the car door for her. "Ms. Medici, did you get the phone?"
"No." Abella's voice was calm as she got into the car.
Sam didn't close the door for her but instead asked, puzzled, "Why not? Did Henry refuse?"
"Knowing Henry, he'll bring it to me eventually. There's no rush."
Earlier, Abella had deliberately told him that he was no longer on the blacklist, just waiting for him to get the phone and contact her anytime.
Not long after, the news #Isla Sentenced To Death# topped the trending list.
She was involved in hiring a hitman, kidnapping, and injuring her adoptive mother by burying her alive.
With multiple charges, she was set to be executed in three days.
Many people flocked to her social media accounts to leave angry comments.

Mr. and Mrs. Medici were supposed to go to her house at 1:30 PM, but it's now 8 PM, and Mrs. Owens says she hasn't seen them. She called to check."Abella opened the door, and the servant led her to the phone on that floor.
Another servant handed her the phone. Abella spoke calmly, "Mrs. Owens, happy birthday."
"Is that you, Abella? Thanks for the birthday wishes. I wanted to ask if your parents are running late or something? I've tried calling their phones, but no one's picking up, and they haven't replied to my messages. I'm starting to get worried."
Wilhelmina couldn't help but explain, "Every year on my birthday, they always show up on time. Even if they can't make it, they will let me know in advance. This time, I can't reach them at all."
Wilhelmina and Kimberly had been friends for years. The birthday party was from 2 PM to 10 PM. She had told Kimberly they could come anytime, but now it was 8 PM, and Kimberly hadn't shown up. Wilhelmina had been waiting to cut the cake with them.
"I heard from the staff that they left at 1:30 PM," Abella replied gently.
"Kimberly messaged me at 1:30 PM saying they were on their way. But I waited until 3 PM and still didn't see them. I messaged them again, but no reply. At 4 PM, I called them, but they didn't answer. Since then, I haven't been able to reach them. So, they're not at home?" Wilhelmina was getting worried.
"Yeah, that's right."
"Could something have happened? Don't scare me." Wilhelmina knew the Medici family had been facing troubles recently.
"Don't worry. I'll call them first. If they don't answer, I'll have someone look for them."
"Okay, let me know what happens."
"Sure thing."
After hanging up, Abella took out her phone and called Kimberly.
To her surprise, the call went through!
A voice full of interest came from the other end, "Finally realized your family is missing?"
"Lola?" Abella was displeased. "Where did you take my parents?"
No need to ask, Beckett must be with her too.
"It's been a while since we caught up. I'll send you a location. Come alone," Lola said, smiling as she warned, "I don't want to see anyone else."
After hanging up, Abella saw Lola had sent a location using Kimberly's WhatsApp. It was an abandoned hospital called Peace Hospital.
She sent the location to Sam, instructing him to take a large group of men and set up an ambush. She also called Phillipe to inform him, and he quickly arranged for people to head out.
Then, Abella called Wilhelmina, telling her that her parents were feeling unwell and couldn't attend the birthday party, wishing her a happy birthday again.
Finally, she opened the basement door, whispered a few words to Scorpion, and released him.
After finishing these tasks, she went to the garage, got into a car, and was about to head to the location when Kimberly's phone called again.
Knowing Kimberly's phone was with Lola, she answered without greeting, waiting for Lola to speak first.
"Abella, you dared to call for backup?"
The sound of the wind came through the phone, followed by a person's scream.
It was Jace, the head of the bodyguard team, that usually escorted Beckett and Kimberly.
Jace's voice was filled with extreme pain and despair.
If it weren't for severe torture, Jace, with his usual endurance, wouldn't make such sounds.
Lola sneered, "This is what happens when you call for backup!"
She sent a photo. Jace's stomach had been cut open, his intestines pulled out.
The scene was gruesome, blood everywhere. Besides the stomach wound, he had many other knife wounds.
