Chapter 267 No Need to Come Anymore

Mr. Wilson suddenly recalled a time when Dr. Smith got angry and said Grandma's progress was all thanks to Abella... Could it be that the girl's abilities were truly stronger than they had imagined?

Suddenly, he found their previous assumptions laughable. How could they have thought Abella had to work and serve a benefactor in order to have money to stay in New York?

Three years ago, the QY brand emerged, and just based on the founder's identity alone, she had much more funds and resources than them. She didn't need to work outside, or rely on a man to support her!

Added to that, she was the piano master Anika Moses, and a top scorer fought over by prestigious schools.

No wonder every time they criticized her for being self-indulgent, her face was full of mockery and disdain. They had truly underestimated and misjudged her!

She stayed in New York based on her abilities.

Every time she came to the hospital, it was to bring Grandma expensive medication, not for matters of the will.

Grandma's shares were worth 300 million dollars, but just these expensive medications alone cost her 60 million dollars, not to mention the phones, bracelets, and flower arrangements made of precious gems that she gave to Grandma.

They far exceeded the total value of Grandma's shares.

She wasn't involved with men randomly because she knew Dr. Smith, which is why he became Grandma's attending physician.

She was the founder of QY, so it was normal for her to have a close relationship with Q. Rowe Price's Romer.

She simply didn't lack money, resources, or have a need to rely on men!

It was their own misguided assumptions that misjudged her!!

"Mom, hearing you say this, I truly regret my actions and blame myself." Mrs. Wilson burst into tears, covering her face, and it took a while before she lifted her teary eyes and said, "We truly owe that girl so much!"

Before Barbara could say anything, Mrs. Wilson's tears flowed once again, filled with regret, "Mom, please help us reconcile with her. As long as you speak up for us, we will surely be forgiven."
Barbara shook off her hand and coldly retorted, "I'm not that shameless."

"Mom, besides you, we don't know who else to turn to. Please help us!" Mrs. Wilson once again held her hand, tears streaming down her face as she pleaded sincerely, "All these years, we thought we were capable, not realizing that Abella was funding and supporting us. We truly regret it and feel so much guilt. Please step in and give us a chance to correct ourselves, to make amends."

Barbara remained silent, avoiding eye contact, clearly not believing her words.

"Don't you want to see our family become united again, instead of falling apart like scattered sand? If Dad has a spirit in heaven, he would be so sad, so heartbroken to see the relationship between Abella and our family deteriorate like this."

Mr. Wilson kneeled down slowly, looking up and saying, "Mom, please help us! Recently, our company has been facing numerous troubles. I've sold many properties and shops under my name, but I still can't stop the decline. If things continue like this, the company will go bankrupt!"

"The company wasn't built by you. Even if it goes under, you won't have any right to cry here!" Barbara finally understood. They weren't sincerely repenting, but rather reluctant to let the company go bankrupt and lose their status as the wealthiest in New York, their lavish lifestyle being the only thing they truly cared about.

"Even if the company goes bankrupt, it would be your own retribution." Barbara snapped.

Mr. Wilson took a couple of steps forward, grasping his mother's hand and pleading, "Mom, you don't understand. It's not just about the company. A few days ago, Isla said some careless words, but Abella took them to heart and even threatened to sue Isla... not only seeking compensation but also demanding a public apology. Isla might even face imprisonment."

This showed that Abella was determined to make Isla pay the price!

"I'm sure Isla must have said something extremely offensive for Abella to do this!" Barbara didn't bother asking about the details, instead saying, "Abella did the right thing!"

"Mom? Without asking for any details, you just say that Abella did the right thing? Is Isla no longer your granddaughter? How can you allow an outsider to bully your own granddaughter?" Mrs. Wilson got emotional, almost forgetting to play her role. If it weren't for Mr. Wilson giving her a stern look, she would have continued.

"Mom, Isla did make a mistake in this matter." Mr. Wilson took over the conversation, feeling ashamed as he said, "I also made Isla apologize privately. Skylar and Isla even kneeled down to apologize to Abella. I said all kinds of kind words, but that child has given up on us."

Seeing that Barbara still ignored him, Mr. Wilson took another step forward and said, "Mom, how about this? You call her over, and in front of you, the three of us will apologize to her, even if we have to kneel down and admit our mistakes!"

Mrs. Wilson clenched her fists. Did they really expect her to kneel down and apologize to that brat? They were truly humiliating themselves. Jeff was being so foolish.

"There is no need for her to sue Isla. We need help for the Wilson family to get through this crisis, and Abella can definitely do it!"

The smile at the corner of Barbara's mouth became colder. She hadn't expected to live this long before realizing how despicable her son and daughter-in-law were. Did they really think she would call Abella here for them and demand forgiveness for them?

"Who do you think you are, saying these things to me?" Barbara raised her hand and swept all the breakfast off the small table beside the bed, angrily saying, "You are incorrigible! You only want to drain Abella dry and take advantage of her in every way! Get out, and never come back!"

Mrs. Wilson was startled by Barbara's action of sweeping the breakfast off the table. If it hadn't all landed on the other side, they would have been the ones in trouble now! She had come to the hospital today wearing an expensive dress, and it almost got dirty. Luckily nothing happened, or they would have to spend more money on dry cleaning again.

Seeing his mother so angry, Mr. Wilson quickly stood up and patted her back, saying, "Mom, don't get upset. We really want to reconcile with Abella, it's not what you think."

"Get out!" Barbara didn't want to listen to any of their explanations anymore. She was so mad that she coughed and her face turned red.
