Chapter 495 The Mysterious Figure

Such provocation, Abella didn't take it seriously, but Phillipe couldn't tolerate it.

Abella raised her gaze and asked, "So, you captured their people?"

"The person in charge, I was planning to hang him at the A Gang's entrance for three days and nights to set an example."

"Isn't that a bit too high-profile? Inviting trouble?" Abella said, "Anyway, no one can match our two gangs."

Phillipe didn't regard the smaller gangs as a threat, especially in Triangle City. He did whatever he wanted without considering others.

"Just strip him and send him back." Abella still wanted to find Nicole and didn't want any complications.

Gabriel was a bit surprised. Just like that? Wasn't that too lenient?

If it weren't for his reckless orders, there wouldn't have been so many people relentlessly chasing Abella recently.

"Alright, as you say." Phillipe's dark eyes sparkled with tender affection. Since the person was captured, how to deal with him was her decision.

"I'll have him put in a coffin and sent over," Abella instructed her subordinates.

Abella's men didn't know what to say. They felt their boss was as cunning as The Mafia's boss.

Like a family.

Would the people at the base feel humiliated seeing their boss returned in such a manner?

After entering the castle, Abella had someone set an extra utensil for Phillipe.

The subordinates inside were stunned. They didn't expect The Mafia's boss to come here and dine with their boss.

What kind of interactions had their boss and The Mafia's boss had that they hadn't seen?

How did they suddenly get along so well?

Why did they seem like a family? The atmosphere was inexplicably harmonious.

And Winston, on the side, acted like an elder hosting. "Phillipe, eat more. You and Abella have been exhausted these past two days."

Everyone shared a look as if silently questioning: What was happening? Were our eyes deceiving us, or was our boss genuinely in a relationship with the Mafia's leader and even received the family's blessing?

The two looked so close, like a couple.

If this news were true, it would shake all of Triangle City.

Abella, while eating the food offered by the two, shared all the recent events with Phillipe.

The subordinates were shocked. They never expected their usually silent boss to speak so much at once.

It seemed like Abella was unconsciously and spontaneously sharing, as if sharing daily life had become a subtle habit between them.

Phillipe smiled, looking at her with indulgent tenderness. Hearing about the dangers she faced, he gently wiped the tomato sauce from the corner of her mouth.

"Next time something like this happens, you must take me with you," he said.

Even though he knew Abella was skilled, he couldn't help but worry. This time, she narrowly escaped, but what about next time? Or the time after that?

Although the chances of this happening were slim, he couldn't bear it.

Abella shared the secrets she had uncovered with him. Winston, on the side, suddenly felt a bit redundant.

When he was with Nicole, he never felt his relationship was particularly sweet. Now, seeing the intimacy of others' romance, he only felt it was too sweet.

After a while, Abella's phone vibrated. She saw it was a call from Diana.

"Abella, are you safe now? Did Winston see a doctor? Is he badly hurt? Is he okay?"

Diana had been worried for a long time, not receiving any call from them to confirm their safety. After much deliberation, she finally called.

"Winston is fine, no serious injuries. As for the items Nicole sent you, we've deciphered part of it. We should have her whereabouts soon," Abella said.

Diana sighed in relief. "Okay. Knowing you're safe is all that matters."

Not wanting to disturb them further, she quickly hung up after a few words of caution.

After dinner, Phillipe wanted to take Abella to The Mafia. Abella knew he wanted everyone to know her identity.

But just then, a subordinate came to report, "Ms. Medici, Raymond Gonzalez is here."

Hearing a male name, Phillipe's eyes darkened. Who was Raymond? He seemed to be someone of importance.

"Where is he?" Abella seemed quite concerned about this person.

"Just outside the castle. He came through the northwest gate, seemingly to avoid being seen."

"Invite him to the reception room," Abella said, releasing Phillipe's hand. "I need to handle something first. You and Winston stay put and wait for me."

"Alright, be safe." Phillipe just patted her head, his eyes filled with indulgence and affection, not thinking much of it.

Abella was just handling business.

On the first floor of the castle, there was a hidden reception room. As Abella entered, she saw a tall figure standing by the window.

"You're here?" Abella closed the door.

Raymond turned around, wearing a black mask that only revealed a pair of clear eyes.

Just from those eyes, it was easy to guess he was in his twenties, almost the same age as Abella.

"I heard you returned to the A Gang, so I came immediately to ask for your help," Raymond said, pausing before making his request. "I need something."

Abella smiled slightly. "What is it?"

"The Seven-Leaf Lotus from Silvercrest. Just one will do."

It was said that the most valuable medicine on Silvercrest was the Seven-Leaf Lotus, with only two left. It could cure all diseases, and even healthy people would benefit greatly from it.

Such a precious medicine had naturally been sought after by many.

Abella smiled faintly. "Did you know? Madam is dead."

Hearing this shocking news, Raymond's eyes widened in disbelief, clearly taken aback.

As the shock settled, the light in his eyes dimmed. "I'm sorry to bring up something painful. It seems that the effect of the Seven-Leaf Lotus is false."

Raymond knew how deeply Abella cared for Madam. If the Seven-Leaf Lotus were in her possession, she would have used it to save Madam.

There was only one possibility: the Seven-Leaf Lotus didn't exist on Silvercrest. It was a rumor spread by other gangs to find an excuse to trouble the A Gang.

Raymond's eyes darkened. "In that case, I won't bother you further."

As he was about to leave, Abella called out, "What's the illness? Maybe I can help."

Raymond stopped as he smiled bitterly. "It's very complicated, beyond anyone's ability to cure."

"Are you sure?" Abella raised her eyes. Were there really so many incurable diseases? She was curious.

"Extremely complicated, and there's no time left." Raymond seemed ready to shed tears, his eyes filled with sorrow. "Perhaps this is just fate."
