Chapter 862 From Start to Finish

Just then, the roar of an engine echoed through the sky, getting closer and closer at a rapid pace.

A beam of headlights hit Sterling's face, causing him to squint and instinctively look toward the light source.

The members of the drift racing team saw a red sports car speeding toward them and quickly pulled Sterling back a few steps.

Abella slammed on the brakes just in time, stopping the car right where Sterling had been standing. If he and his team hadn't moved quickly, they would have been hit.

Abella rolled down the window, and several members of the Boeing racing team saw her and shouted excitedly, "Abella!"

Abella had finally arrived!

Her timing was impeccable...

They were almost scared out of their wits just now...

One of the team members quickly sent a message to Saskia, expressing their joy.

Sterling heard Abella's name and squinted at the girl in the driver's seat. Because of the headlights, he couldn't see her face.

Sterling took a few steps forward and saw Abella through the open window. She had a beautiful yet unfamiliar face. He sneered, "Do you even know how to drive? My friends and I were almost hit by you!"

"You guys dodged pretty fast, didn't you?" Abella monked.

Sterling noticed the passenger seat was empty and said, "Where's Saskia? Is she too scared to show up? Who are you?"

"Abella is a member of our Boeing racing team. She can easily beat you!" Clea stepped forward and said.

Della also took a step forward, speaking seriously, "Abellausually only participates in major races. Coming here is a compliment to you!"

Sterling looked at Abella's face, which was about the same age as Saskia's. Why were young girls so into racing these days?

"If you beat me, I'll give you the Velocity Circuit. But if you lose..." Sterling stared at Abella's beautiful features, "you spend the night with me?"

"How about ten nights?" Abella said.

Sterling was taken aback, not expecting her words.

The Boeing team members were all stunned. Abella had just arrived and was already making such a big bet? What if...

"Hahaha, you said it... I didn't expect you to be so open-minded... I like girls like you." Sterling looked at her pretty face, thinking he wouldn't get bored playing with her for ten days.

"But if you lose, you'll crawl from the start to the finish line of the Velocity Circuit, shouting that you're a beast. How about that?"

Sterling pressed his tongue against his back teeth, laughing arrogantly, "Sure, but I've never lost a race."

"What if you do?"

Sterling laughed even more, intrigued.

"Do you dare to announce our bet to everyone?" Abella added.

Sterling shouted to his team, "Did you all hear that? If I lose, I'll crawl from the start to the finish line, shouting I'm a beast! If I win, she will become my woman."

The drift racing team members all started jeering, waiting to see Abella make a fool of herself.

"Little girl, your car isn't good enough... It doesn't have the power mine does." Sterling patted Abella's car, flashing what he thought was a charming smile. "Want to use a standard race car?"

They had specific race cars here, with regulated 2.4L V8 engines, ensuring fairness and safety.

But Abella just smiled, "Let's make it exciting."

Sterling didn't expect her to be so bold. "Alright, then I won't go easy on you."

His sports car was faster than Abella's. He could reach 350 mph, while she could only go up to 340.

"Best two out of three. First to the finish line wins. You know the rules of underground racing, right? Reasonable collisions are allowed."

Abella smirked. "Alright, let's start."

Seeing Abella so calm, Sterling laughed again.

He wondered if she'd be this composed when their cars collided.

As he got into his white sports car, the Boeing team members cheered Abella on.

"Abella, you got this!"

"Don't put too much pressure on yourself. Even if you lose, Saskia will handle him. You don't have to sacrifice yourself."

"What are you talking about? Abella will definitely win."

"Yeah, Saskia said Abella is amazing. Winning the championship will be a piece of cake for her."

The referee, a girl, blew her whistle, her voice coming through a small microphone at her collar.

"Drivers, get ready. Race cars will be at the starting line in one minute."

"Abella, have some water." A Boeing team member handed Abella a bottle of water.

"It's so cold, why are you giving her that? Get some hot water."

"Abella, don't be nervous. Let me massage your shoulders." Another team member reached into the driver's seat to help Abella relax.

"Abella, if you don't mind me asking, have you ever participated in an underground race?" Della asked curiously.

"Never," Abella replied, then added calmly, "This is my first time."

Everyone's eyes widened, especially Della, who was shocked for a moment before reassuring herself. "Then you must have participated in many official races with Saskia, right?"

"No," Abella said flatly. "I've never participated in any race."

Everyone was stunned again. So Abella had no racing experience at all?

Della, still not giving up, asked, "Then you must be a racing enthusiast? Do you race a lot in your free time? You must know a lot about cars..."

"I know how to go forward and backward, and I can brake."

Everyone took a deep breath. This was too much. They thought Saskia had brought in an expert, but it turned out to be a complete novice.

"Then... if you don't mind me asking, do you have a driver's license?" Della asked, her heart pounding.

"I do."

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief. At least Abella wasn't driving without a license...

But tonight's race was intense. It wasn't something just anyone could handle. Many professional drivers had been beaten badly by Sterling, and some were still in the hospital from crashes...

Saskia sent Abella with only driving experience and no racing experience...

What if she got seriously hurt...

How would they explain it to Saskia?

"Maybe Clea should race instead..." Della suggested it for safety reasons.

Although Clea wasn't as good as Saskia, she had some racing experience and had studied the Velocity Circuit...

"Don't worry." Abella saw that the time was almost up and drove to the starting line.

A white and a red sports car, ready to go.
