Chapter 61 Did the Company Hire You to Be a Statue?

"Last night, you looked really good in that shirt," Phillipe said.

Abella raised an eyebrow, "Not usually?"

"You look good usually too," Phillipe leaned close to her cute little ear, his voice both teasing and seductive, "But last night, you were especially alluring."

Abella fell silent.

Phillipe's gaze was filled with affection, and the corners of his mouth lifted slightly. "You were very good last night." Her sleeping appearance was ethereally beautiful; her serene and delicate face like that of a fairy.

Abella didn't know what had happened after she fell asleep. Seeing that the car was approaching the company entrance, she reminded, "Gabriel, pull over and let me out."

"Yes , Ms. Medici," Gabriel replied.

Phillipe reached out and touched her face. "I'll pick you up at noon."

Abella said with a smile, "Okay."

As Abella walked into the company, she heard a mocking voice, "Did you come to work in a luxury car, Ms. Medici?"

The speaker was Benjamin, who was the highest-ranking executive in the company before Abella arrived.

Although Benjamin hadn't seen the license plate clearly, the extended model and the Rolls-Royce emblem on the hood were enough to prove that the car was worth a fortune.

"For someone of your age to afford such a luxury car, I must say I'm quite impressed." Benjamin said with a mocking smile.

Abella's lips curled into a cold smile, "Got a lot of free time, do you? Not at your workstation during work hours, but out here enjoying the view?"

"I'm waiting for a client, and I just happened to see you." Benjamin said with a cheeky grin, "Ms. Medici, is that your family car? Or your boyfriend's?" Or perhaps your benefactor's? He left the rest unsaid.

"This has nothing to do with you." Abella walked straight to the elevator, adding, "Just do your own job."

Benjamin watched her slender and beautiful back with disdain in his heart. Wasn't she just relying on a young and pretty face to get to where she was? What gave her the right to be so arrogant?

Abella took the elevator to the twentieth floor and saw her assistant Joseph and designer Abigail waiting at the door from a distance.

"Ms. Medici, Ms. Parsons has been waiting for you for a while," Joseph said.

"What's the matter?" Abella pushed open the office door, sat in her chair, and looked up at Abigail.

"Ms. Medici, these are my recent designs. I was wondering if I could have the honor of getting your guidance?" Abigail handed over the design drafts, feeling anxious and unsure if Abella would give her any pointers.

Seeing Abella's slight look of confusion, Abigail quickly explained, "Last time you held a company meeting, our design department head Jonathan attended. He showed you my design drafts, and after your modifications, my sketches became even more stunning."

She was even more convinced of Abella's talent and almost worshipped her as a master!

"What kind of designs do you want to create?" Abella picked up her sketches and started looking through them.

"Of course, beautiful and fresh ones. That's my design style." Abigail's eyes lit up as she spoke, "I hope to design the most beautiful clothes in the world, just like my idol, Lady Margaret. Ms. Medici, have you heard of her?"

Abella paused for a moment, then lightly curled her lips. "Yes, I've heard of her."

With enthusiasm, Abigail exclaimed, "She is incredibly talented! You can see her unique aesthetic and skill in her works. Every piece of clothing, every bag she designs is perfectly exquisite! Every time she launches a new product, I am once again amazed by her work! Her talent seems endless, and every new release shows her progress! She is truly amazing!"

Abella looked at the enthusiastic Abigail in front of her and said, "Is she really that impressive?"

"Of course!" Abigail's tone was filled with admiration, "Everything she designs, as soon as it hits the market, countless designers rush to imitate it! Even top-tier brand designers seek inspiration from her work. Her creations have given me endless inspiration. Similarly, her story tells me not to blindly pursue trends but to design my own style. As long as the design is good enough, I can make a name for myself in the design world!"

Seeing Abigail's longing and anticipation for the future, Abella picked up a pen and calmly explained, "You can change this here..."

In no time, under Abella's guidance, the dozen or so sketches turned into stunning works. Abigail was dumbfounded.

Abella was incredible! In such a short time, she could spot all the flaws and make corrections. The originally ordinary clothing sketches instantly became unique, top-tier luxury pieces in her hands.

Just then, Joseph's voice came from outside the door. "Benjamin, you can't go in."

"Who do you think you are to block my way? How dare you?" Benjamin looked at Joseph with disdain.

The office door was suddenly pushed open. Joseph felt deeply apologetic, "I'm sorry, Ms. Medici, I couldn't stop him."

Benjamin swaggered in, clearly not putting anyone in his eyes. He walked straight to Abella. "I have an urgent matter, so I had to barge in this abrupt way. Ms. Medici, you're generous and surely won't..."

Abella raised her eyes, looking at the self-important Benjamin in front of her, and coldly interrupted him before he could finish, "Don't you know how to knock?"

"The matter is urgent and concerns the future development of the company..." Benjamin explained.

Abella had no patience to listen to him finish and coldly ordered, "Get out."

"Ms. Medici, what I have to say is very important..."

"I don't want to repeat myself." Abella was uninterested in his topic, "I assume you wouldn't want to be thrown out by security, would you?"

Abigail was stunned. What was going on? This Benjamin was too arrogant! The key point was, Abella didn't seem to be afraid of him at all. She was so cool!

"Benjamin, please leave!" Joseph made a gesture.

Benjamin, holding back his anger, glared at him. After the door closed, he stood there, impatiently knocking.

There was no response from the office.

Benjamin knocked for a while, then vented his anger on Joseph, saying, "Are you mute? Why won't you report it? Is the company paying you to stand around like a statue?"

Joseph could only whisper outside, "Ms. Medici, Benjamin has something to discuss with you."

"Not seeing him." Abella's crisp response came from the office.

This time, Benjamin couldn't hold back his anger and directly pushed the door open. "Then why did you make me knock?"

"Did I say that knocking would guarantee you entry?" Abella sneered.
