Chapter 464 Blaming the Wrong Person

In the end, Winston couldn't bear it and agreed to go shopping with her at night.

Winston changed his clothes and went downstairs.

Lola happily took his hand. "Winston, I knew you were the best to me!"

"You're my sister. If I'm not good to you, then whom?" Winston teased, pinching her nose.

Just as they arrived at the garage, Winston's phone rang. Seeing it was Abella, he immediately answered. "Abella, where have you been?"

Winston couldn't help but say, "It's already 8 p.m. Do you know how worried I was? You didn't answer the phone, and you replied with just a few words to so many messages. You kept me waiting for so long. Where have you been all day?"

Lola, who was standing beside him, realized that Winston had been staring at his phone, waiting for Abella's reply.

A sour feeling arose in her heart, a mix of dissatisfaction and jealousy, but she remained composed.

"Winston, I've caught a few people who might be related to Nicole's disappearance," Abella, always concise, said as she drove. "They're with me, but I want to make sure people know about my location. Don't make a fuss. I'll pick you up at the manor, and you should go out for a while."

"Okay, how long will it take you to get here?" Winston's heart raced when he heard that it was related to Nicole's disappearance.

Could it be that Abella went to catch someone today? Who could be involved in Nicole's disappearance? Wasn't Nicole leaving because she fell for someone else? Why did Abella refer to it as a "disappearance"? Too many questions arose, giving him a sense of foreboding.

"I'll be there in about three minutes."

"Okay, I'll wait for you at the gate," Winston said, closing the car door. He then looked at Lola beside him and said, "Lola, I have something to do. We'll go shopping another day."

"Winston." Lola couldn't help but follow him. "What's happened?"

"Abella and I are going out for a while. You stay at home or call a friend to keep you company. Buy whatever you like, and I'll pay for you later. Be good." Winston patted her head and quickly left.

"Winston." Lola was extremely dissatisfied.

Why could Abella take Winston away with just a phone call?

Abella must have done it on purpose! She called at the worst possible time, just when Winston was supposed to go shopping with her!

Winston was too much. He had promised to go shopping with her, but he ditched her to go out with Abella.

From a distance, Lola saw Abella's car parked at the villa's entrance. Winston quickly got into the car, and they drove off.

The more she thought about it, the angrier she became. When she returned to the main hall, she saw Lauren arranging a bouquet of flowers.

The servants around her praised her for doing a good job. Lauren looked at the flowers in front of her and smiled. "I hope this bouquet will bring Miss Abella some joy. I'll put it in her room first."

Maria rolled her eyes and then noticed Miss Lola returning in a huff, unable to hide her confusion.

Wasn't Miss Lola supposed to be out shopping with Winston?

Why did she come back alone?

Lauren's smile and the flowers in her hand pierced Lola's heart. She blocked Lauren's path and said, "It was you. You told Abella that Winston was going to go shopping with me, didn't you?"

"Miss Lola?" Lauren, holding the vase, was somewhat puzzled. "I don't know what you're talking about."

"You must have told her; that's why she suddenly called and took Winston away," Lola said in frustration. "Everyone in this house knows that you're her loyal slave!"

"Miss Lola, taking care of Abella is a task given to me by the lady. I'm just doing my job. I don't know why you see me as an enslaved person, unworthy of being a person. I'm not aware of Winston ditching you at the last minute, and I believe it has nothing to do with Miss Abella. It's just a coincidence."

"You're still trying to defend yourself!"

This damn servant not only defended herself but also defended Abella!

What benefits did Abella ultimately bestow upon her?

"Winston had already opened the car door and was about to get in. Why did the call come at that exact moment and take him away? Why didn't they call earlier, and why precisely at that time?"

Lauren felt wronged. "You should ask Winston. He's the one involved. I don't know anything. You've got the wrong person."

"Ask him? Now you're learning to use Winston to suppress me?" Lola looked at Lauren and the several trembling servants behind her, unable to help but mock, "Yes, you're all great now, relying on Abella, looking down on everyone else."

"Miss Lola, I have never thought that way, neither in the eyes of Mr. Medici and Mrs. Medici nor in the eyes of us servants; you have always been the heir of this house."

"Who among you has ever treated me as a heir?" Lola was so angry that she knocked the flowers out of Lauren's hand.

The vase fell to the ground, making a crisp sound, and several maids were frightened. They all hid behind Lauren, not daring to raise their heads.

At the same time, Lauren was scared, feeling that Miss Lola was unreasonable and went too far today.

Dissatisfaction is one thing, but what's the point of smashing her flowers?

This bouquet was prepared for Miss Abella. Last time, she had a bad cold for many days and felt uncomfortable all over. Miss Abella gave her a few pills, and she was better in just two days.

So today, she bought a bouquet of flowers for Miss Abella, wanting to show her gratitude, but she didn't expect Miss Lola to smash it to the ground.

"Miss Lola, calm down," Maria stepped forward, pulling Lola, and said, "Some people only see immediate benefits and think that attaching themselves to someone powerful and influential will bring them good. Don't get yourself sick. Who wins and who loses is still uncertain."

After she finished speaking, she looked at Lauren and said, "Let's wait and see!"

"I knew it was you who instigated Miss Lola's change in attitude," Lauren said angrily, looking at Maria.

"Everyone else is guiding the child in the right direction, and only you are leading Miss Lola astray. You will only ruin Miss Lola."

"It was clearly you who bullied Miss Lola first. I have yet to mention you! It must be you who informed Miss Abella, let Miss Abella call Winston, and temporarily take Winston away. You have such deep thoughts, are making your plans, and are not guiding Miss Abella in the right direction, and you still have the nerve to say that my education is a problem. Where do you get the face to say these things?"

"Are you crazy? Winston ditched Miss Lola at the last minute because there was something more important than going shopping."

"So, you mean that going out with Miss Abella is more important than going out with Miss Lola? In the end, Miss Abella is the most important member of this family. Is that what you mean?"

Tonight, Mr. Medici and Mrs. Medici went to attend a banquet and were not at home, so Maria's argument was also very fierce.

The servants had never seen such a situation before and were very afraid.

"You're simply unreasonable!"

It was really helpless to face such an unreasonable person.
