Chapter 869 Abella Looks...
Before Abella came to Britonia, she had never heard of Dennis.
Saskia said seriously, "I've heard Mr. Medici is quite the powerhouse. Nobody dares mess with him, though no one really knows his backstory."
Abella didn't know either. She had no patience for men who played around with women and acted all high and mighty.
"Did you know? When you made your debut tonight, my teammates were floored. You told them you only knew how to go forward, reverse, and brake, and it freaked them out."
Abella smiled faintly at this.
"You also said you had never been in any races, but once you hit the track, you blew them away. Tonight, they all asked me if you could join our team, or even coach them. They have so many questions for you."
Abella chuckled, "So, are you planning to hire me as a coach?"
"How could I afford that?" Saskia knew Abella had many roles and quickly added, "I told them your time is worth a thousand bucks a minute, and they were all dumbfounded, hahaha..."
Abella couldn't help but laugh. The two clinked glasses and continued eating and chatting.
Meanwhile, on the other side of town.
Louie approached Dennis with trepidation, barely daring to breathe.
Dennis was lounging on a single sofa in a private club, sipping his drink while gazing at the shimmering pool outside.
No one knew what he was thinking.
"Mr. Medici..." Louie reported cautiously, "I couldn't catch up... her car was too fast..."
Dennis looked up, his cold and arrogant demeanor making Louie tremble.
"Was her car too fast, or did you not even see her? Are you lying to me?" Dennis threw a nearby cushion at him.
Louie stood still, letting the cushion hit him. "When I went after her, I really didn't see her. I checked the road surveillance, and it seems the cameras on several streets were damaged. I'm sorry, Mr. Medici, it's my fault."
Dennis let out a cold laugh, sipping his wine.
"Mr. Medici, I reviewed the race footage. If it weren't for that small rock on the road, and if the track were extended by another two hundred feet. You would have definitely won."
Dennis's icy gaze made Louie freeze in place.
Clearly, such consolation was not only useless to Dennis but also somewhat insulting. "Do you want a beating?"
Louie lowered his head, "I wouldn't dare..."
Seeing Dennis pour himself another drink, Louie quickly said, "Mr. Medici, did you find that girl a bit familiar tonight..."
Dennis finished his drink and commented, "She does deserve a beating."
Louie quickly corrected himself, "I meant her features, her appearance..."
Dennis did think her eyes and brows bore a slight resemblance to his mother, but he had heard that his sister grew up in a poor neighborhood. It was unlikely she would have such looks and presence.
Moreover, she was the same age as Lola, only eighteen. At eighteen, she probably hadn't even gotten her driver's license, let alone driven a car to that level.
So, the thought only flashed through his mind briefly before he dismissed it.
How could his sister be a better driver than him?
"Should we ask Mrs. Medici to send a photo?" Louie suggested, just in case.
He had always felt that Abella's aura was somewhat similar to Dennis's.
Seeing her tonight, he was even more convinced she might be Dennis's sister.
When Abella returned home, Kimberly had called Dennis, saying Abella was back. As for her appearance and personality, he should come see for himself.
But Dennis, being busy and due to his nature, hadn't gone back.
Now, he took out his phone and messaged Steven, Ethan, and Winston:[What does Abella look like?]
Soon, he received several replies.
Steven: [It's hard to describe.]
Abella was extremely beautiful, with a delicate and elegant charm. Her features were perfect, from her eyes and nose to her lips. Her beauty was indescribable, and her aura and identity were so impressive that it would take days to fully explain.
Dennis was silent at this.
Ethan: [It's difficult to put into words.]
Abella's beauty was hard to summarize in one sentence. She was stunning, and even a distant glance in a crowd would leave people in awe.
Winston: [It's really hard to describe. You have to see for yourself.]
Abella's appearance was breathtaking, and only seeing her in person could convey the full impact.
She was just too beautiful, too elegant, too charismatic!
Blake: [Why are you suddenly interested in your sister? You've been away for so long, and now you have a conscience?]
Blake had previously created a group chat, deliberately excluding Dennis, hoping Dennis would get curious and come back to see Abella. Of course, he also had his own motives, thinking it would be better if one less person was competing for Abella's attention...
Seeing their vague descriptions, Dennis assumed she must be quite unattractive and not worth mentioning.
Blake's message made him reply: [I saw someone today who looked a bit like Abella, but she was quite annoying. Luckily, it wasn't Abella.]
Blake quickly responded: [That definitely wasn't Abella. Abella is loved by everyone. The person you saw must be someone else.]
Since it wasn't Abella, it was easier to handle.
"Keep investigating. I need to know her whereabouts," Dennis ordered.
"Yes," Louie felt relieved. If that girl wasn't Abella, he could proceed without worry.
Blake: [But who could be so annoying? A girl, no less? I'm curious who could make you so upset, Dennis.]
Seeing Blake's nosiness, Dennis didn't reply and continued drinking his wine.
Meanwhile, Saskia was happily eating and drinking with Abella when her phone rang. It was her teammates again.
"They're asking about you again, wanting to treat you to a meal to thank you properly. I'll arrange something soon, and we'll all get together to show our gratitude. Winning the Velocity Circuit tonight was all thanks to you. You deserve the credit!"
"Aren't you already treating me?" Abella smiled, gesturing to the lavish spread before them. "Any more, and my stomach might burst."
