Chapter 906 An Announcement
"How'd you get hurt so bad?" Phillipe's eyes were full of worry. "Sit down, let me take care of that wound."
"No need." Abella skillfully untied the bandage with one hand.
"Don't move, let me handle it." Phillipe was concerned she might make it worse.
If he had known she would get hurt, he would have stayed by her side to protect her, even taking a bullet for her if necessary.
Phillipe carefully removed the blood-soaked bandage and gently cut away the fabric around her wound. After applying the medication, he wrapped a fresh bandage around it.
"It's too dangerous here. Easter is coming up. Let's go back home?" Phillipe suggested softly, looking at her. "I've already sent people to investigate those assassins from tonight. We'll have answers soon. Are you done with your business in Britonia?"
"Yeah, I'm done."
"Then let's head back now?"
"Okay."
Abella had the same thought. She glanced at the clock, which showed it was 3 AM. Back home, it was already 10 AM.
"Can I borrow your phone?"
Her phone had been thrown from the 18th floor by Maria and was likely destroyed in the explosion.
Phillipe, hearing she didn't even have a phone, handed his over with concern.
The screen recognized Abella's face and unlocked automatically.
"Do you have my parents' WhatsApp?" Abella asked.
"Yeah," Phillipe replied. "It's in the contacts."
Abella noticed he had saved her parents' numbers as "Mom" and "Dad." She looked at him with interest.
"They're my parents too," He said, a bit defensively. Beckett and Kimberly had been very affectionate in their messages to him.
Abella removed a small chip from her hair tie and inserted it into the phone's charging port. She sent the surveillance footage to Beckett and Kimberly, along with a few voice messages. Then she called Sam, instructing him to protect everyone at Long Island Manor and not let any harm come to them.
After finishing these tasks, Phillipe contacted his team to arrange for a plane to be ready as soon as possible.
Once they were on the plane, Abella told Phillipe about Maria's identity and the incident where she fell from the building.
"So, all those things were her doing?" Phillipe was surprised. "I underestimated her."
He hadn't expected that the restaurant incident, the falling billboard, the smear campaign against Beauty Skincare Group, and the accusations of Abella lip-syncing were all orchestrated by Maria!
Meanwhile, a private jet from Verdania landed smoothly on the helipad at Long Island Manor.
Beckett and Kimberly had been eagerly waiting.
This year, Bonnie and Caleb were coming to spend Easter with them, so they had been waiting for their arrival.
The plane door opened slowly, and Bonnie, holding Caleb's arm, descended the stairs.
She looked even more stylish and elegant than before, her presence a mix of cold beauty and commanding aura, making her irresistibly captivating.
Caleb, by her side, was equally charming.
Seeing them, Kimberly couldn't help but wave excitedly. "Bonnie, Caleb, you're finally here!"
In front of them, Kimberly was like a little sister, bouncing with childlike excitement.
"Kimberly's been waiting here for a while." Beckett smiled as he approached, hugging Caleb and nodding at Bonnie, feeling both relieved and happy. "It's so good to see you both standing here."
Everyone had thought Bonnie was dead after she fell off the cliff.
Even Caleb had been despondent for a long time.
Now, seeing them both safe and sound, Kimberly hugged Bonnie tightly. "It's so good to have you back..."
Bonnie smiled beautifully, making her even more enchanting.
"How have you been?" Bonnie asked, looking at Kimberly with affection.
"Everything's been great. Let's go inside and talk." Kimberly linked arms with Bonnie and led her towards the main house, shivering slightly in the cold wind. "It's freezing out here. By the way, where are Mom and Dad?"
Mentioning David and Vanessa, Bonnie's smile faltered for a second before she regained her composure. "They had a bit of a scare before leaving. Caleb and I came ahead. We have something to announce later."
Kimberly immediately guessed, "Is it about Abella?"
"Yes." Bonnie nodded, her smile still radiant.
Kimberly thought it was about revealing Abella's identity and said, "I've already called and invited all our friends and family for the Easter dinner. They don't know about Abella yet. I was planning to announce it at the dinner. Do you think we should invite the media?"
She wanted the world to know Abella was her daughter, but was also worried about the media disrupting Abella's life.
Given Abella's many roles, having reporters constantly outside their home would expose her whereabouts.
"We'll discuss that later. The main thing is what I need to announce. You should be prepared." Bonnie teased with a smile.
"Your announcement?" Kimberly was puzzled, not understanding what Bonnie meant.
"You'll find out soon." Bonnie didn't reveal anything more and walked ahead with Kimberly, while Beckett and Caleb followed behind.
Not seeing Abella among the welcoming party, Caleb couldn't help but ask, "Where's Abella?"
"She's in Britonia on business. She hasn't returned yet..." Beckett smiled. "This year, our whole family will finally be together for Easter.. With Abella here, life is just perfect."
In the past, David and Vanessa's health issues had made it rare for them to gather like this, especially for Easter.
"Where are Mom and Dad?" Beckett also noticed their absence and asked the same question.
"They're on a later flight. They should be here tomorrow." Caleb smiled and asked, "How have you been, Beckett?"
"Everything's been great..." They exchanged pleasantries.
Kimberly led Bonnie into the living room, where Lauren and the staff greeted them warmly.
Seeing the array of snacks, fruits, and hot tea being served, Bonnie couldn't help but say, "You don't have to go to so much trouble."
"You rarely visit. Kimberly wants to bring out all the best things." Beckett laughed and personally served tea to Bonnie and Caleb.
