Chapter 856 Saving People

Inside Suite 11, Abella and the seller wrapped up their deal, exchanging cash for goods.

She stashed the medicine in her backpack and took the elevator down to the first floor. Theo spotted her and broke into a relieved smile.

He'd been worried about Abella going upstairs alone, but she always managed to surprise him, coming back from Suite 11 without a scratch.

"Did you get it?" Theo mouthed excitedly.

It was too noisy to talk, but Abella understood him, nodded, and tilted her chin, signaling him to follow her.

In the massive arena, a 200-pound boxer had just been mauled by a beast, his arm torn apart. He was being carried away, and the beast was rewarded with meat.

The next match was between a 300-pound, muscle-bound boxer and a helpless child.

The kid looked no older than five or six, forced into boxing gloves and shoved into the cage, crying loudly. Abella could hear the cries from where she stood. She glanced up and saw the child clinging to the bars, trying to escape, while the crowd roared with excitement.

"These people are crazy," Theo said, looking at the child with pity. "Their minds are twisted."

"Do you want to see how a child fights for survival in a desperate situation?"

The crowd screamed, "Yes!"

"Will the boxer win, or will the child win? Place your bets now—countdown five, four, three, two, one!"

As the whistle blew, the boxer lifted the child like a ragdoll and slammed him to the ground.

The crowd erupted in cheers.

The child lay on the ground, crying for his mother, unable to get up from the pain.

"Do you want to see something even more thrilling? Let's see how many people have placed bets tonight and who has bet the most!"

The giant screen showed 1,351 bets, with the highest being $103,000.

The host was clearly not impressed.

"Can anyone bet higher? The excitement is about to peak. Do you want to see it?"

"Yes!"

"Let's see who will raise the stakes!" As soon as the host finished speaking, the screen showed a bet of $1 million from Suite 1.

The crowd fell silent for two seconds before erupting again.

"It's Mr. Medici! Mr. Medici has bet $1 million!" The host's voice was ecstatic.

"Let's cheer for the next scene..." The host's words were drowned out by the crowd's roar as the boxer approached the child.

"Ms. Medici..." Theo turned to find Abella gone.

The boxer lifted the child high, showing off his prize to the audience.

As he prepared to bask in the crowd's cheers, he noticed the sudden quiet.

A girl had entered the cage and was holding the child tightly.

Outside the cage, the child's mother was crying with relief, clutching the bars and begging, "Are you from Libertya? Please save my child. His father is deep in debt, and he didn't volunteer for this... Please, I'm begging you..."

"Shut up!" The mother's mouth was covered, her hands restrained.

The boxer didn't know who Abella was, and the host was equally clueless.

Abella confronted the boxer, asking, "How can you hit a child?"

As Abella tried to leave with the child, the boxer punched the cage door. The host, realizing what was happening, quickly announced, "This is a surprise twist in our show, place your bets..."

Staff locked the cage door, and the mother outside struggled and cried. Abella, looking so young and frail, seemed destined to die with the child inside...

Theo fought through the crowd to reach the cage, seeing Abella locked inside, determined to save the child. He decided to act, rescuing the child's mother first.

The boxer, unaware of Abella's background, only knew that winning tonight would earn him $1 million. He had to win at all costs!

Abella, without boxing gloves or protection, holding the child, dodged the boxer's punch and delivered a swift side kick, pushing the 300-pound boxer back.

The crowd was stunned and excited, amazed at Abella's strength and skill.

The boxer, realizing Abella was a formidable opponent, smiled with interest. It had been a while since he faced someone of her caliber. He swung again.

The child in Abella's arms cried out in fear. Abella comforted him, "Don't be scared."

As the boxer's fist came at her, Abella dodged and countered with lightning speed.

The boxer took hits to his head, abdomen, and waist, and Abella's impressive spinning kick pushed him back again.

The crowd went wild.

The mother watched in disbelief as the slender Abella gained the upper hand against the heavyweight boxer.

And she was holding the child, using only her legs to turn the tide.

She saw hope and cried tears of joy.

Theo quickly dealt with the minor obstacles, found the key, and unlocked the cage door. Abella handed him the child and her backpack.

"Go," Abella ordered.

"What about you, Ms. Medical ?" Theo was clearly worried.

"I'll handle this." Abella saw the boxer's fist coming again. Without the child, her fists were free, and she moved even faster.

"Ms. Medical, this place is run by Dax!" Theo's voice was lost in the crowd.

Abella didn't hear him, delivering a heavy kick to the boxer.

"Ms. Medical! This place is run by Dax! Let's go together!" Theo pushed open the cage door, but the boxer saw him and punched the door shut again. He couldn't let the girl go; winning against her meant he still got his prize!

"Go!" Abella commanded.

Dozens of staff pushed through the crowd, armed, clearly not intending to let the troublemaker and the mother-child duo escape...

Theo had no choice but to carry the backpack, hold the child, and grab the mother's hand, leading them away.
