Chapter 492 Quite the Scene

Sam paused for a moment before continuing, "It's one of the experimental bases of the T3 Research Institute. Not only is it a live laboratory, but it's also a terrifying breeding ground."

The T3 Research Institute was a horrifying medical organization that enjoyed researching various viruses and conducting experiments on children.

The children who managed to survive were recruited into the organization and became part of it.

Throughout their growth, they were often required to carry out various tasks.

They needed normal identities to cover up their clandestine activities, so the orphanage director arranged for them to be placed with regular families, giving them the appearance of a normal life.

"All the adoptive parents have no idea how terrifying these children really are," Sam remarked, "On the surface, they are no different from other kids—they go to school, excel academically, and are well-liked. But in reality, they have to report back to the organization regularly and complete various tasks assigned to them."

Sam added, "These children have never felt the warmth of a family. After being adopted, they usually develop feelings for their adoptive parents, which the organization then uses as leverage against them."

Abella's eyes darkened. "Are you saying that Nicole might be one of the T3 Research Institute's people?"

"Highly likely!" Sam affirmed. "And I suspect she has some dirt on the orphanage, which is why the institute is relentlessly pursuing her, trying to bring her back."

"But I've fought with those people before, and their moves didn't seem like those of the institute."

Hearing this, Sam also found it a bit odd.

"However, the last time the T3 Research Institute targeted you, they gave us a hard time. We lost one man, and another was injured. This grudge is definitely settled!"

Abella knew that once targeted by the institute, you either served them obediently or faced only one outcome—death.

It was said that over the years, no one targeted by them had ever escaped.

'Could Nicole be one of them, too?' Abella wondered.

"You mentioned that the T3 Research Institute has a headquarters?" Abella asked again, "Where is it? Is the headquarters also called the T3 Research Institute?"

"Apparently not, but the specifics are still unclear."

Sam felt that this matter covered a wide range, and they had only touched the edges of it.

"Keep investigating. I want results as soon as possible," Abella said.

"Yes, Ms. Medici."

Several hours later.

The plane landed on the mountaintop of Silvercrest, the territory of the A Gang.

The noise of the landing awakened Winston. Struggling to endure the pain from his wounds, he got up and looked out, only to find dozens of people armed and waiting for them.

Damn.

Could their whereabouts have been exposed?

Had the people chasing Nicole already set up an ambush here?

There was a knock on the door.

"Winston, we've arrived."

Hearing Abella's voice, Winston painfully made his way to the door and opened it, saying heavily, "Abella, we're surrounded. While the plane door is still closed, should we fly somewhere else to land?"

Abella was filled with confusion. 'Surrounded? Who would dare surround them on Silvercrest?'

"Look, those people have followed us here." Winston indicated towards the window.

Abella was even more puzzled. This was the A Gang's territory. Even if those people were incredibly bold, they couldn't possibly appear on the mountaintop of Silvercrest.

Not to mention the mountaintop, they would probably be dealt with before even stepping through the A Gang's gates.

But seeing Winston's serious expression, she walked to the window and looked out. There were no pursuers of Nicole, just her loyal subordinates waiting by the plane's stairs to welcome her!

Since becoming the boss of the A Gang, she rarely returned. Her loyal subordinates were all excited, eagerly looking at the plane door.

Abella smirked. "Quite the welcoming committee."

Winston, seeing Abella about to press the button to open the plane door, quickly stopped her. "You know it's a big scene, and you still dare to take the risk?"

"I meant the welcoming scene."

Abella pressed the button, and the plane door slowly opened. Before Winston could voice his concerns, he saw the dozens of people below, neatly lined up, happily shouting, "Ms. Medici, welcome home!"

Their boss hadn't been back for a long time. Seeing her standing at the top of the plane's stairs, everyone couldn't help but get excited!

Their boss looked even more impressive!

But who was the man behind her?

Winston was stunned by the synchronized "Ms. Medici, welcome home!" He looked at Abella in disbelief and couldn't help but ask, "This place is..."

"The A Gang." Abella stepped down the plane's stairs first. "Winston, we're home."

'Home?'

'The A Gang was her home?'

'She was the boss of The A Gang?'

Winston was shocked for a full three seconds before he reacted.

He caught up with Abella. "As far as I know, the A Gang was founded three years ago. How old were you then? Why did you come to Triangle City and become the boss here?"

His mind was filled with questions.

"It's a long story."

Abella gave a brief explanation. Three years ago, Madam's condition worsened, and she urgently needed a certain herb that only grew on Silvercrest in Triangle City. At that time, several gangs were fighting over Silvercrest. Abella arrived at the height of their conflict.

Because Madam urgently needed the herb and required it for long-term use, and since the herb only thrived in Silvercrest's soil, Abella not only founded the A Gang and took over Silvercrest but also expanded her power.

She almost died several times in Triangle City.

"But later, Madam's condition no longer required the herb..."

Talking about Madam, Abella's heart always felt a tearing pain. That day, the person on the operating table closed their eyes forever, and like Abbott Wilson, she was powerless.

No one understood this regret.

"Ms. Medici!!"

Seeing their boss step down the plane's stairs, everyone excitedly called out and then looked at Winston, unsure how to greet him.

"This is my brother, Winston," Abella introduced, "Same parents."

Her subordinates were stunned. Their boss always managed to surprise them.

Just like last time, she inexplicably allied with the boss of the C Gang and wiped out the Wolf Gang, shocking all of Triangle City.

The A Gang and the C Gang had no prior connections.

No one could understand how they suddenly allied or the reason behind it.

Even their own members didn't understand their boss's moves.

Later, the two gangs even issued a warning: anyone who dared to mess with one of them would face the wrath of the other.
