Chapter 828 The Concert Ends
Brenda suddenly understood her meaning, "Cassandra, it's really unfortunate. Kiki just asked me to take Summer back right after the concert. You know, with Summer's current popularity, even going out for a meal requires Kiki's approval. This is really not something Blake can decide."
"Isn't it normal for Blake to take Summer out for a meal after the concert? Or they could meet backstage, and Blake could introduce Summer to Winford."
Brenda could only decline, "Cassandra, we signed a confidentiality agreement, and there are time restrictions and other regulations. After the concert, we have to take Summer back immediately. It's not that I don't want to help. How about this, you discuss it with Kiki. As long as she agrees, I'll fully cooperate."
"If she were easy to talk to, why would I come to you? Brenda, I have taken care of you guys before, including various red-carpet events and large activities. As long as Winford and Blake are there, Blake always gets to go on stage first."
Brenda thought, 'Isn't that because Blake is more popular than Winford? The organizers also let Blake go on stage first. How did it become her giving way? With Blake's popularity, does he need someone to give way?'
"Brenda, please help me with this. If Summer is willing to collaborate with Winford, Blake can get a $20 million endorsement fee. It's a win-win situation! Kiki is just too strict. We want to get Summer's personal approval."
"Cassandra, I'm really sorry. I'm just an assistant. I can pass on your message, but whether they meet or not depends on Summer's convenience."
"Brenda." Cassandra seemed to lose patience, her tone a bit unhappy, "Can someone be popular forever? Yes, Blake is indeed a bit more popular than our Winford right now."
Brenda was speechless. 'Just a bit more popular? He's clearly much more popular. Otherwise, why is Blake the top star and not Winford?'
"But who knows, in the future, Winford might be more popular than you guys, and you might need our help. By then, I can have Winford help you." Cassandra added.
"What's going on?" At this moment, Abella returned after singing.
Brenda seemed to see a savior, "Someone wants to collaborate with you."
"Don't waste time talking to her, just hang up."
Hearing Abella's cold response, Cassandra didn't give up but instead pleaded with Brenda to give the phone to Abella.
Brenda said awkwardly, "Cassandra wants to say a few words to you."
Abella took the phone, "Besides Blake, I'm not considering collaborating with anyone else right now. Thank you for your appreciation, but please don't call again."
After saying that, she ended the call directly.
Brenda didn't expect Abella to be so assertive, "You don't know what she said on the phone just now. She said Winford will be more popular than Blake in the future."
"He's not popular now, so why talk about the future?"
Brenda was shocked by Abella's assertiveness and confidence.
"He won't become popular," Abella added.
According to Abella, this artist named Winford had a messy private life, often deceiving fans for sex and evading taxes.
At this moment, Brenda's phone rang again. It was messages from different agents, all with the same purpose: to ask how they managed to get Summer to agree to the collaboration.
Some even wanted to bribe her to get the inside scoop.
"Summer, you're really popular. I've received so many messages all about you." Brenda couldn't keep up with the messages.
Abella smiled lightly, "I'll head back to the audience. Let Blake know that I'll be going back with Phillipe later."
"Aren't you going to wait backstage for a bit? The concert is almost over, and Blake surely has a lot to say to you." Brenda hurriedly tried to keep her.
"There are so many fans outside wanting Blake's autograph and photo. If we talk backstage for a bit longer, he probably won't be able to leave." Abella had seen how enthusiastic those fans could be.
"Oh, by the way, is Blake coming home for Easter? Does he have any work?" Abella asked casually.
"Blake specifically cleared his schedule for those days. He said it's your first New Year at home, and he must spend it with you. He was very determined and pushed all his schedules back. His agent eventually agreed."
Abella didn't expect Blake to clear his schedule for her, and her heart softened. "I'll be home those days too."
"I'll let Blake know. He'll be very happy to hear that."
"I'm leaving now."
"Don't forget to come to my engagement party!" Brenda waved at her.
"Definitely."
Abella returned to the audience. Blake was bowing to the fans, who were screaming and some even crying because they couldn't bear to see him go.
The concert slowly came to an end, the stage lights dimmed, and people began to leave.
Phillipe held Abella's hand gently, "You sing beautifully, better than any song I've ever heard."
"Really?"
"Yes, of course. I took videos and photos and sent them to your phone."
"When did you recognize me?"
"When you called out to Blake."
Abella was surprised. Phillipe recognized her voice even before she went on stage.
"Having a fiancée who sings so well, can I get some special treatment? Like requesting a song? Singing to me?"
"Depends on my mood."
"Then let me ask, how's your mood right now?"
"Not bad."
"Have some water to soothe your throat."
Each VIP seat had bottled water. Phillipe opened a bottle and helped her drink a couple of sips.
Abella's throat felt better.
She noticed the ground was very clean. All the fans had put their trash in small bags and taken them away. They formed into several orderly lines, leaving through different exits without any pushing or shoving.
Elsa was at the end of a nearby line, watching Phillipe put a glowing bunny ear headband back on Abella's head.
He occasionally whispered something in Abella's ear, and they held hands tightly, his eyes filled with affection only for her.
"Tonight's concert was so worth it! I didn't expect to see Summer and hear her sing. Her voice is like a clear stream from the mountains, and Blake's voice is like a gentle breeze over the hills. Their voices intertwined and harmonized, it was the best duet I've ever heard!"
