Chapter 471 Bought Out
After all, in Triangle City, she had a priceless mountain of medicine. There were many precious herbs on the mountain that money couldn't buy.
"Is that so?" Winston asked, half in doubt.
"Yes." Abella nodded, her expression sincere. "That's it."
Winston breathed a sigh of relief. "Did you figure out which organization those people were from?"
Abella shook her head and said, "I couldn't tell. Each of their moves was deadly. It's currently unclear which organization they were from."
Winston nodded. "I'm glad you have that skill. At least you can protect yourself in dangerous situations. But today, you put yourself in danger, using yourself as bait. Do you know how worried I was when I saw them pull out their guns? In the future, if anything happens, you must tell me first. Although I'm not as skilled as you, I can at least arrange more people to help you."
Abella knew that arranging more people would only draw more attention, and it might even become a burden to her.
Abella knew that Winston's intentions were good, so she nodded and said, "I understand, Winston."
"You've had a long day. Get some rest." Winston patted her head.
"You should rest early, too, and not sit alone on the balcony until dawn," Abella said.
Winston was moved. "Okay, I promise I won't."
Abella went back to her room, took a shower, and took care of some personal matters before going to bed at 1 a.m.
The next morning, she went downstairs for breakfast and suddenly noticed that several servants were looking at her with a hesitant expression. It was as if something had happened that she didn't know about.
"What's wrong?" Abella asked in a soft voice.
"Nothing..." one of the servants said.
"Tell me." Abella put down her utensils and leaned back, exuding a strong aura.
One of the servants spoke up timidly, "Well... Miss Abella, you made a phone call last night and asked Winston out, which angered Miss Lola, and she threw a big tantrum."
Abella was a little confused and raised an eyebrow. "What does it have to do with her if I look for Winston?"
"Winston had promised to go shopping with her. They were already in the garage, about to get in the car when you called Winston, and he left in a hurry."
Abella didn't expect things to be so coincidental. Seeing the uneasy look of the servants, she asked in a calm voice, "Did she make trouble for you?"
"No, she made trouble for Lauren. She thought it was Lauren who had told you."
"Miss Lola even threw the flowers that Lauren gave you on the ground, and the vase broke."
Abella caught the key point. "Lauren gave me flowers?"
"Yes, Lauren said she had a cold for many days and didn't get better. It was the two pills you gave her that helped her recover, so she has been grateful for your kindness. That day, she took a day off and went shopping. She bought a bouquet of flowers for you at the flower shop for three hundred dollars. After she got home, she asked us for a lot of advice and finally managed to arrange the flowers. She was about to take them to your room, but Miss Lola stopped her."
Abella understood. "Where is Lola now?"
"Miss Abella, please don't go looking for Miss Lola. She will definitely find out that we were talking behind her back."
"She threatened to kick us out too."
"Miss Abella, please don't go to her, I beg you."
The servants pleaded anxiously.
"Don't worry, I know what to do. I won't get you into trouble," Abella said.
Abella finished her breakfast and left, leaving the servants worried that they might lose their jobs.
Abella first found Lauren and handed her a small bottle. "Lauren, I noticed that you haven't been feeling well lately. This will help you recover. Take one pill a week," she said.
"Miss Abella, your medicine must be expensive. I can't take it!" Lauren protested.
Lauren knew that Abella was skilled in medicine and always gave good advice.
"Take it, don't be polite." Abella put it in her hand, not mentioning the flowers or Lola, but said, "If you have any problems at home in the future, you can come to me, and I will handle it."
"Miss Abella…"
Lauren thought, 'Does Miss Abella know something?'
But Abella changed the subject. "Are Mom and Dad awake?"
"Not yet."
"What about Winston?"
"Still in the room."
Abella nodded. "Don't overwork yourself. If you feel unwell, take a day off and rest; don't force yourself."
"Thank you for your concern, Miss Abella."
Lauren remained in a daze until Abella left, and the other servants hurriedly gathered around her.
"What good thing did Miss Abella give you this time?"
"Will my skin improve if I eat this?"
"I often have acne on my face. Last time, I asked Miss Abella to help me take a look, and she gave me a small bottle of effervescent tablets. I've only taken them for a few days, and the acne marks on my face have disappeared."
"I'm not feeling well. Sometimes, when I squat down to work, I feel dizzy when I stand up. Miss Abella gave me more than ten herbal tea bags to soak in water, and now I don't have that symptom anymore."
"I'm not good at dressing up. I asked Miss Abella for some advice because she always dresses so well. She taught me how to match colors and even gave me a few sets of designer clothes. She just gave them to me!"
The servants talked endlessly about Abella.
"Miss Abella is the most kind-hearted socialite I've ever met!"
"The main thing is that she is very direct, she doesn't beat around the bush, she doesn't hide her true feelings, unlike some people who seem friendly on the surface but are actually very dark, plotting behind their backs and spreading rumors."
"I like Miss Abella because it's very comfortable to be around her."
Lola, who was preparing to go downstairs, clenched her fists unconsciously.
"This damn Abella is quite good at winning people's hearts!" Lola growled.
"That's what I said. Why do some people not put you, Miss Lola, in their eyes? It turns out they all obeyed her because of the benefits from Abella!" Maria supported Lola downstairs and couldn't help but raise her voice to mock, "Miss Lola, it turns out you didn't pay; that's why someone tripped you up."
"Miss Abella didn't bribed us with benefits."
"We went to Miss Abella for advice ourselves."
"It has nothing to do with Miss Abella."
The servants were a little flustered.
But Maria didn't listen to their explanations. Instead, she said, "Listen, every one of you is speaking up for her. She managed to bribe you with some worthless little things. No wonder you say it's comfortable to be around her. The person who gave the gift is the one with a good temper. Miss Lola, you didn't give anything, and some people are hinting that you are dark-hearted instead of expressing it directly."
The servants became even more flustered. "No, we didn't mean that."
"Alright, everyone, go back to work," Lauren said.
After Lauren finished speaking, the servants looked at her gratefully and hurriedly went downstairs.
