Chapter 573 Gaining the Favor of the Gentleman

If she shook it enough and got the feel, she could judge the numbers in the craps cup by ear.

To beat her grandfather, she practiced a lot, gradually upping the difficulty. Now, she could shake ten craps and make them all stand upright.

She relied on skill, not cheating or luck.

"Miss, interested in a big venture?"

"Name your price. If you work with me, money's no issue."

"Join me instead! We'll play together. If we lose, it's on me. If we win, we split seventy-thirty, you get seventy."

Everyone wanted to partner with Abella, even arguing over it.

Mike wouldn't miss this chance. He stood up and said, "Miss, can we talk?"

Abella followed him to a small bridge outside.

"Honestly, the Piercing of Heart was bought at a high price right after I got to the casino," Mike said.

Abella's eyes turned cold. 'So, he's playing me?'

"Let's split the three hundred and twenty million from earlier," Mike said sincerely.

But Abella's gaze stayed cold.

She came for the Piercing of Heart.

Sensing her displeasure, Mike added, "How about seventy-thirty, you get seventy. No, eighty-twenty, you get eighty."

Seeing Abella still unhappy, he gritted his teeth. "Ninety-ten, you get ninety. I can't go lower!"

"Who did you sell it to?" Abella's voice was icy.

Mike replied, "An important person I can't name. If he wants something, we can't get it back. But I can help you find another Piercing of Heart. My friend's friend might have one. I'll contact her and see if she can deliver it tomorrow. If she can, I'll give it to you for free!"

Abella took out her phone. "Phone number."

Mike quickly gave it to her.

Abella noted it down and called him. "This is my number."

Mike saved it immediately, a bit respectful and cautious. "About our partnership, would you consider it?"

Abella sent him a string of bank account numbers. "Transfer the ninety percent to my account first."

Mike was stunned but quickly agreed. "No problem."

As Abella prepared to leave, he couldn't help but say, "I'll transfer it shortly. Think it over when you get back. Don't consider anyone else; they're not as reliable as I am! If we lose, it's on me. If we win, it's ninety-ten, you get ninety!"

Abella walked off the small bridge, ready to leave the casino, but ten staff members blocked her way. "Sorry, miss, please wait a moment."

Abella raised her eyes. 'What? Can't afford to lose and now causing trouble?'

"Apologies for taking up your time." The manager had already called higher-ups to ask if they should let her go.

Abella coldly looked at the ten frail staff members. If it came to a fight, they'd suffer.

But her visit had already attracted enough attention. More trouble might draw those people.

She didn't want her enemies to find her. If Mike could deliver the Piercing of Heart tomorrow, she could go home the day after. No need to cause trouble.

"How long?" Abella suddenly asked.

The ten staff members were surprised by her calmness, despite her chilling gaze.

"Just a moment," the lead staff member said.

"Fine, bring me something to eat and drink." Abella walked to an empty boat, sat down, and admired the water scenery.

Several luxurious buildings reflected in the water, like a golden, dazzling illusion.

The staff were stunned for a moment, realizing this young girl was bold and unafraid of potential danger.

They quickly brought food and drinks to the boat, serving her carefully.

Meanwhile, the manager called Ivan, sounding anxious. "Mr. Bryant, we have a problem! A girl won three hundred and twenty million dollars from us, and others won quite a bit too! We're at a huge loss tonight!"

"What did you say?" Ivan sounded surprised. "A girl?"

"Yes, she looks about seventeen or eighteen, but her craps skills are comparable to Mr. Harris' back in the day!"

"How dare you!" Ivan scolded. "How can you compare anyone to Mr. Harris? Mr. Harris could identify numbers by sound. Can she? Mr. Harris could make dice stand upright. Can she? Mr. Harris could roll any number he wanted. Can she?"

"She can do all of that!"

"What did you say?" Realizing the girl was no ordinary person, Ivan calmed down. "Send me the surveillance footage."

Soon, the manager sent over the footage.

When Ivan saw Abella's familiar outfit, he was stunned. "Mr. Harris, look."

It was the girl from tonight!

Abella, dressed in casual clothes, wearing a baseball cap and mask, moved the craps with fluid motions.

James' eyes fell on Abella, and he said appreciatively, "This girl is quite something."

"Mr. Harris, did you notice anything unusual?" Ivan stared at the video of Abella but saw no flaws.

James said with interest, "I didn't expect her hands to be skilled at both saving lives and rolling dice."

"Mr. Harris, could she be cheating? How could someone her age be so proficient?" Ivan still doubted Abella's abilities, staring at the screen as if trying to find a flaw, but Abella's every move and expression showed no signs of cheating.

James dismissed the idea. "With enough practice, anyone can do it."

"So, we just let her go?" Ivan was incredulous, thinking, 'She has helped Mike win three hundred and twenty million dollars! Such a huge amount. If we don't investigate, what if she comes back next time?'

"She won fair and square. Why wouldn't we let her go?" James said magnanimously. "Not only should we let her go, but we should also treat her well and welcome her back."

"Welcome her back?" Ivan was incredulous. With her winning like this, wouldn't we go bankrupt?

"Where is she now?" James asked.

"The manager said that when we stopped her, she remained calm and even went to a boat to enjoy the scenery, asking for food and drinks," Ivan reported.

Ivan had never heard of such a person before. A young girl, blocked by dozens of people, didn't cry or show fear.

Instead, she leisurely went to a boat to enjoy tea and the moon, completely different from what he had imagined.

Her composure was truly admirable.
