Chapter 354 Listen to Ethan

Only now did Phillipe notice Ethan nearby. When he had entered earlier, the room was too crowded to pay attention to everyone.

He wasn't well-acquainted with Ethan; they had met only a few times, the most recent being at Blake's birthday party two years ago.

He heard Ethan held a high-ranking position in the Security Department and seldom had time to visit home, so his presence here was for Abella?

Ethan's eyes, clearly displeased, were fixed on Phillipe, but at the moment, he still prioritized answering his parents’ enquiry.

"I'm here to bear witness. What’s brought you here?"

They had been calling him constantly to come home to see his sister. Was it because of this issue that they had come all the way here?

Hearing Ethan refer to Mr. and Mrs. Medici as “Mom and Dad,” Abella raised an eyebrow. So the minister of security was her elder brother?

That’s quite a high position. Turns out the siblings had met just yesterday.

"Why are you here? Did you come to stand up for your sister because you heard she was being bullied?" After asking Ethan, Mrs. Medici suddenly remembered something and turned to Abella, "Abella, are you hurt?"

That was most important!

Now, everyone in the office was utterly astonished! Abella was the Medici couple’s daughter? When was she born?

They had caught absolutely no wind of this! Ethan looked toward Abella not far away: This little girl, was his sister? Blood related?

Just now he had thought that even if Phillipe didn't choose Lola, at the very least he would choose his own sister, Abella. He had never imagined that this young girl was indeed Abella!

Turned out they had already met yesterday. He had even invited his sister to join the security department.

Mrs. Allen and Lucine were so frightened that their legs gave way, they could barely stand. Several of Lucine's friends were also sweating with fear, none of them had anticipated Abella's significant influence!

Mrs. Allen hadn't completely snapped back to reality and clutching at straws, she managed a stiff smile and asked, "Mrs. Medici, you just said this young lady is..."

"My daughter Abella!"

Mrs. Allen nearly fainted. Lucine hadn't mentioned on the phone that the person bullying her was the daughter of the Medici couple, Abella.

It was over. Everything was finished. Not only was Ethan present, but Mr. and Mrs. Medici too, and even Phillipe had come to stand up for Abella.

Her foolish daughter had not stirred up a hornet's nest but endangered the future of the Allen family.

The Allen family was done for. With this thought, Mrs. Allen raised her hand and fiercely slapped her daughter.

A sharp sound echoed through the office, and everyone looked at Lucine. Lucine herself couldn't believe it as she turned to her mother. Her mother had always doted on her, so much so that she couldn't bear even to scold her.

"You fool! Yes! Abella is attractive, and even if you wanted a close-up photo of her to show to plastic surgeons, to get a makeover in hopes of looking as beautiful, you should never have drugged her drink! Look at this, what a huge misunderstanding!"

Lucine's eyes widened in shock: Plastic surgery? To look like Abella? Such a blatant lie.

"Abella kicked you till you vomited blood, that was her showing you mercy, sparing your life is fortunate enough!"

After scolding, Mrs. Allen's anger subsided, and she turned to Mrs. Medici with a smile, "Mrs. Medici, I am truly sorry, all of this was my daughter's fault. Here I am, apologizing to you."

Mrs. Allen bowed deeply at a ninety-degree angle, her attitude incredibly sincere.

"I failed to raise my child properly, I am responsible as well. I beg you and Mr. Medici to be magnanimous and give us another chance."

"Is this how the Allen family handles things?"

Before Mrs. Medici had a chance to respond, Phillipe's eyes took on a glint of coldness, "Think you can just slap my fiancée and smooth things over with a couple of words? As if such easy forgiveness exists in this world."

Mrs. Allen maintained a deep bow at ninety degrees. Upon hearing Phillipe's words, she understood his meaning and immediately turned her head to scold her daughter, "What are you standing there for? Apologize to Abella properly this instant!"

Lucine was well aware of the serious consequences that offending both the Bourbon and the Medici families could bring upon her. She shuddered at the thought that her actions might drag down her entire family.

Shame and humiliation consumed her as she approached Abella. Imitating her mother's posture, she began to speak with trepidation, "I'm sorry, Abella. I let my resentment from the combat incident get the better of me and I did something terrible. Please forgive me!"

Abella observed her fear-stricken appearance and said indifferently, "Had I drunk the water from that cup today, you wouldn't even have the opportunity to apologize."

Lucine's head drooped even lower, "I'm truly sorry, please give me another chance!"

"Opportunities are rare, and sometimes once they're gone, they're gone for good."

She was no saint.

If today's poison had been more potent, undetectable and tasteless, drinking it would have put her in real danger.

"I'm sorry, Lucine indeed made a mistake here. I apologize to you on her behalf," Mrs. Allen kept her deep bow, and after apologizing to Abella, she turned to Phillipe, still bowing deeply, "I'm sorry, Mr. Bourbon. This is my failure in teaching her."

Then, she proceeded to apologize to Mr. Medici, Mrs. Medici, Ethan and she didn't forget to offer her apologies to Josie and Joanna.

Seeing her mother, who was usually so proud, reduced to such a state of abjection, Lucine felt an intense discomfort in her heart. It was all her doing.

Suddenly, she remembered her cousin Calla! She had claimed that Abella had bullied her, crying pitifully like rain on pear blossoms.

But in the end, did Calla know that Abella was a Miss of the Medici family? If she did, and she still intentionally sent her to confront Abella, then how deep and calculating Calla must be!

Mrs. Allen saw that neither the Medici nor the Bourbon family members were speaking up, obviously unwilling to let the matter drop just yet.

Unable to even straighten her back, she felt a cold sweat running down her spine, "We as parents have spoiled Lucine rotten. I've decided to take her home and educate her properly. Today, I shall proceed with her withdrawal from school."

The department head standing nearby was stunned. Withdrawing from school? But she'd only just arrived a few days ago.

Though Lucine was reluctant to leave the Medical University, her mother had made her stance clear, and with no choice left to her, she bowed her head silently, tears streaming down her face, resigned to her fate.

"It's about time for some proper discipline," Phillipe said coldly. "At Mrs. Allen's age, if she waits much longer, she won't be able to handle it."

"Yes," Mrs. Allen replied humbly, "Mr. Bourbon is absolutely right."

"But at Miss Allen's age, it might be difficult to correct her behavior in just a day or two," Ethan interjected. "Mrs. Allen, your suggestion to withdraw her from school doesn't seem too bad. We could take her and teach her over a longer period..." Pausing, Ethan turned to look at Abella. "What do you think, little sister?"

This was the first time Ethan had called her "little sister". There was an inexplicable sense of closeness and doting.

Abella responded graciously, "I'll go along with whatever Ethan says."

At her words, Ethan's expression brightened with pleasure. Was his sister always this well-behaved, this understanding, this adorable?

His subordinates thought to themselves: Snap out of it, she’s the one who kicked someone until they spat blood.
