Chapter 347 Confession?
After Abella left, one of the subordinates consoled, "Minister, don't be sad. Don't you have a younger sister studying at Medical University? Four years of college will be enough to groom her to serve our country."
Ethan watched the direction in which the young lady disappeared, thinking of his younger sister who had recently been found, said to be eighteen years old.
"She's endured a lot of hardships since she was young." Ethan, who had heard about his sister's past, replied calmly, "The security department isn't suitable for her."
Having only recently found her, she should be cherished and protected, not put to such strenuous work.
Question marks popped up in the subordinate's mind; “did the minister dote on his own sister too much?”
He hadn't even met her yet and was already spoiling her??
It seemed that he would become a fanatic about doting on his sister in the future.
"Let's check on 7731." Ethan left Dr. Smith's office with his subordinates.
If it weren't for a special mission abroad, he would have returned home to meet his sister much earlier.
"Boss, when do you plan to visit your little sister?"
"The day after tomorrow. I heard they're off tomorrow. I have no idea what his sister is like. She's probably like any girl her age, well-behaved, understanding, kind, and gentle.”
After returning to the car, Abella was immediately embraced by Phillipe. Learning that the security team had reached out to her made Phillipe chuckle. Recruiting Doctor Abbott? Were they able to?
Given Abella's ambition, she would never resign herself to a small place. She needed a broader world.
The next morning, when Rufus served breakfast to Abella, he noticed numerous kiss marks on her neck and became quite agitated!
It looked like last night was intense. He had thought his boss wasn't up to par, but it seems he and Wyatt were overthinking. The Mrs. is going to have a very happy life!
"Have you seen enough?" Phillipe lifted his gaze, glanced at Rufus with a warning, "Do you want me to make room for you to get a good look?"
"Sir, Madam, please enjoy your meal." Rufus, scared out of his wits, hurriedly retreated.
Abella naturally knew what Rufus had discovered and shot Phillipe a look as if to say: “Look what you've done!”
Last night, Phillipe had held her and kissed her all night, clearly not satisfied with just the area above her neck. Had it not been for her period, she might have been completely devoured by him.
"It was you who said you’d make it up to me." Phillipe handed her a peeled egg and fed her, "After breakfast, shall we watch a movie?"
"What movie?"
"Your choice, I'm good with anything." Phillipe planned to watch a movie in the home cinema, to have a couple's date.
After breakfast, Phillipe saw two servants standing in the living room and said indifferently, "You both can return to Moonlake today."
Wyatt and Rufus exchanged glances, wondering if they had done something wrong. Rufus thought, "Could it be his lingering looks at Madam this morning at breakfast that made Sir jealous?”
Wyatt thought, could it be him not getting up to open the door for Sir last night when he returned? But Sir had clearly instructed that when he and Madam wanted to be alone, they wanted them as far away as possible.
"Sir, have we done something wrong?" Wyatt asked respectfully.
"It will be more convenient with a maid."
Wyatt and Rufus understood that there were some things the Madam might need to be attended to by a woman, something inappropriate for men.
"Yes, we will pack our belongings right away." Wyatt secretly breathed a sigh of relief.
Abella picked a recently popular sci-fi blockbuster in the home cinema, and Phillipe was a bit surprised, having expected a young girl like her to choose a romance.
But then again, his Abella had always been different from others.
During the movie, Phillipe took her hand. Despite the plethora of thrilling scenes, Abella scarcely reacted.
"Not interested? Want to switch to another one?"
"No need."
After the film ended, the theater dimmed, and the atmosphere turned subtly delicate.
Holding her hand gently, Phillipe asked, "Did you enjoy the movie?"
"It was okay."
"Which is better looking, the movie or me?"
What kind of question was that??
"You."
Seeing Abella respond that way, Phillipe's lips curled into a slight smirk and he pressed further, "Did you speak alone with Dr. Smith last night?"
Abella:??
Why bring up Dr. Smith??
So early in the morning.
"Last night you were gone for quite some time. Besides security offering you an olive branch, did you two talk about anything?"
"Talk about what?" Abella didn't understand, "What could we talk about?"
"Like, him confessing to you."
Phillipe leaned in closer, his handsome features and charming voice wrought with a strong visual impact.
"Phillipe, you really are jealous." Abella wasn't sure if she was just naive or if there really were men in the world who could be this jealous.
"Can't you be more mature?"
"I can't help but be immature in front of you." Phillipe's Adam's apple bobbed as he gazed at her blush-pink lips, recalling the sweetness from last night, and once again found himself kissing her uncontrollably.
Abella could feel his intense possessiveness as he held her head; she couldn't break free.
Phillipe's hands tenderly stroked her back, and even through the fabric, he began to undo the buttons underneath.
Abella held his hand and lifted her gaze, realizing this man truly was not satisfied with just touching above the neck.
"Abella, it's unbearable."
Phillipe kissed her repeatedly, "I want you."
" Keep calm.” She was still on her period!
Just then, her phone began to vibrate. Before she could reach for it, Phillipe held her back.
The phone vibrated over and over, continuously disrupting the quiet atmosphere.
As if it wouldn't stop until she answered.
"Let me take this."
Abella barely managed to free her hand and saw it was Dr. Smith calling once more!
He really does call his fiancée daily!
"It must be something new with the patient from last night," Abella guessed.
Phillipe clearly didn't believe her, his eyes laden with jealousy, "Put it on speaker."
Fine!
There was absolutely no way she and Dr. Smith would discuss anything other than medical matters!
"Abella, are you busy?" Dr. Smith's voice came through quickly from the other end of the phone.
The mention of "fiancé" sparked a hint of anger in Phillipe's eyes. Oh, to hear her calling him with such intimacy? Was it a death wish?
"Is there something you need?" Abella asked in an unemotional voice.
"It's like this, there's something I want to tell you in person," Dr. Smith seemed a bit nervous, paused, and then asked, "Are you free now? Let's meet somewhere."
"Don't you have work today?" Abella realized as she asked that he had been on the night shift the previous evening and so wouldn't be working during the day, but then added, "What is it that can't be discussed over the phone?"
Do they really need to meet in person? At this, Phillipe's lips curved with a dangerous smile, contemplating a confession to his fiancée.
