Patricia and Diana didn't blame them; they were actually relieved they didn't come.

"Dad, Mom, how can you say that? We could never live with ourselves if it meant losing you."
Nicole's words made Patricia's face turn serious. He said solemnly, "Parents risk their lives to protect you, hoping you'll live well... Otherwise, how could you honor their sacrifice?"
"Alright, enough with the heavy stuff; we just reunited..." Diana said, heading to the kitchen to bring out some food.
Tranquil Lakeview Villa was the villa closest to Medical University. Phillipe had spent a fortune building a lab here for Abella so she could stay more often.
Right now, Abella was in the lab, breaking down toxins in the blood. Two hours flew by in a blink.
Phillipe knocked on the door and gently reminded her, "Time for a break."
Seeing that the system analysis wouldn't yield results soon, Abella stopped the process and opened the lab door.
"Try this, freshly cut." Phillipe handed her a plate and used a fruit fork to feed her a piece. "Sweet?"
"Hmm, not bad." Abella took the plate and started eating.
Phillipe then massaged her shoulders and neck. She had an injury on her back, so he was very gentle and careful.
"The United Hearts Charity is under investigation," Phillipe said softly.
"This is just a small part of Umbra League's crimes. We need to keep up the pressure," Abella said nonchalantly. "As expected, they're starting to panic. Next, the Bourbon Group, my companies, and the Sunrise Group will likely face various bad news to divert public attention. We need to be ready."
"The trap is set; we're just waiting for them to walk into it." Phillipe continued to gently massage her shoulders and neck. "Given their usual tactics, they might target the weaker ones."
"I'll send more people to Riverside Villa to protect Nicole's parents, and I'll station more people at home."
Meanwhile as the online buzz continued to grow, many charitable organizations were being investigated.
At the Lott residence, Camila walked into the study and saw Alpin, elegant and composed, sitting in his chair. She couldn't help but ask, "Dad, did you want to see me? what's going on?"
"Camila," Alpin greeted her warmly, his aura a mix of power and approachability. "Is the task completed?"
Camila was a bit taken aback. Alpin usually didn't ask about her work, but she nodded. "I just got home, and you called me over. What's up?"
"Does Ethan have a sister named Abella?" Alpin asked directly.
Camila was even more surprised. She hadn't expected Alpin, who held such a high position, to notice Abella. She nodded, puzzled. "Yes, why?"
Alpin's eyes showed admiration. "Abella is exceptional, so Ethan must be too. I can see he's very diligent. When you have time, bring him over to our house."
Camila's eyes widened in surprise. "Dad, you approve of our relationship?"
Alpin used to not inquire much about her work or love life, but now he was actively inviting Ethan over. Camila wondered what did Abella do? How had she managed to get Alpin's attention and even indirectly affect her relationship?
"At your age, it's time to consider marriage," Alpin said just as his secretary received a message and whispered something in his ear. He nodded and waved Camila out.
Camila walked out of the study and into the living room, still in a daze. Seeing the housekeeper Daisy passing by, she hurriedly grabbed her and asked in a low voice, "Daisy, is something serious happening in the family lately?"
Daisy, who always served by her mother's side, naturally knew the things happening in the house. Seeing Camila showing such a side, Daisy smiled warmly. "If there's anything serious happening in the family lately, it's that Mr. Lott will retire in a month."
"What does that have to do with Ethan?" Camila asked, puzzled.
Daisy maintained her refined smile, exuding an air of sophistication that set her apart from the average individual. She reiterated, "Ethan is Ms. Medici's elder brother."
Camila remained puzzled. "And how does that tie in?"
Leaning in, Daisy murmured, "The recent buzz revolves around Phillipe Bourbon and Abella Medici."
"It's connected to Abella?"
Camila was taken aback. While she had been keeping up with online updates, she hadn't realized the extent of Abella's involvement. The revelation of Abella and Phillipe causing such a commotion behind the scenes left her astonished.
