Chapter 775 I Will Definitely Come to Find You

"With Phillipe looking out for you, I can chill a bit," Vanessa said, grinning as she ruffled Abella's hair. "When you get back, hit me up whenever you can."

"Yeah, call me too," David chimed in, "Sometimes your grandma's in the shower or catching some Z's and can't pick up. If it's urgent, ring me."

"Got it," Abella replied softly, glancing at them. "I should bounce now; his car's still waiting outside."

"Bye," Bonnie said warmly, gazing at Abella. "No matter how swamped you get when you return, don't skip meals. If you need anything, just holler."

"Don't forget me. If you need a hand, just ask," Caleb added with a smile.

"Okay," Abella felt their love and care, making her heart melt a bit.

Lola, feeling left out, thought to herself that she was the one leaving on the plane, yet everyone was all about Abella, who even mentioned Phillipe's car waiting outside.

Everyone was fussing over her!

"Grandma, I don't wanna leave you all," Lola suddenly cried, hugging Vanessa.

"Lola, why the tears?" Vanessa comforted her, "It's not like we're saying goodbye forever."

"Even though I know you'll be coming to Long Island Manor in a few days, these past few days have been so awesome that I can't stand to leave you even for a second."

"Then stay here. We can chat about life," Bonnie said with a warm, beautiful smile.

Lola quickly changed her tune. "But Mom and Dad are waiting for me at home. I can't be an ungrateful daughter. Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Caleb, Aunt Bonnie, you all gotta come quickly. I'll be waiting for you at home."

"Don't worry, I'll come as soon as I wrap up my work in a few days." Although Bonnie smiled beautifully, Lola still felt a bit uneasy.

"I'll get on the plane now." Almost not daring to linger, Lola said goodbye to everyone and quickly boarded the plane.

Bonnie watched her back and suddenly called out, "Lola."

Lola stopped, turned back awkwardly, and forced a smile. "Aunt Bonnie."

"Remember, I'll come to find you. Don't sneak off to go abroad with friends or anything like that."

Lola felt a chill down her spine.

"We'll come too," David waved at her, smiling, completely missing Bonnie's underlying message.

Lola forced another smile. "Okay, I'll be waiting for you."

Bonnie blew her a kiss.

Lola's legs felt weak. She held onto the handrail and forced another smile. "Goodbye, Aunt Bonnie, Uncle Caleb, Grandpa, Grandma."

"Goodbye," everyone waved at her.

Finally, after the plane took off, Lola felt a sense of relief, like she had dodged a bullet.

Meanwhile, Abella got into Phillipe's car and apologized, "I promised to meet your friend, but I almost forgot it's Grandpa Clarence's birthday tomorrow."

"It's cool," Phillipe said, holding her hand and looking at her gently. "Besides, they'll all be back for Easter. We can meet then."

Abella looked at him. "Are you done with your work here in Verdania?"

"Yeah, I'm done. I set up a new full-chain production company that can crank out movies and TV shows. Just yesterday, we greenlit twelve TV series and sixteen movies," Phillipe said, diving into his work. "Plus, a subsidiary snagged two resort hotels and three forest hotels. They're in urban spots and tucked away in the mountains, with nearly a thousand acres of forest and tons of touristy stuff around. We can make a huge resort area."

Abella nodded, listening to him go on.

"We also bought three pharmaceutical companies."

Abella grinned. "I saw today that your pharma group donated $20 million worth of daily meds and $20 million worth of immunotherapy drugs to poor areas in the country."

Immunotherapy drugs help boost the immune system for elderly folks with respiratory issues and kids with recurring infections, cutting down on winter sickness.

The daily meds included stuff like cold medicine and stomach meds.

He had thought of everything.

Phillipe looked at her softly. "I learned from you. Didn't you donate $6 million worth of meds to a charity this month?"

"How did you know?" Abella had donated it under her pharma group's name, and no one else knew about it.

"Because you started that group, I know." Phillipe smiled. "You always care about people."

Before he could finish, his phone rang.

It was one of his friends calling.

He hit the answer button on the steering wheel, and a male voice came through.

"Phillipe, Molly heard you're heading out and made me call you." Before the guy could finish, the phone got snatched away.

"Phillipe, you're leaving without telling me? What's the rush?" Molly's flirty voice had a hint of complaint. "You finally came to Verdania, and we only hung out once. Now you're leaving again! Where are you? Still in Verdania?"

Abella looked at Phillipe with interest, her expression curious.

Phillipe was worried she'd get the wrong idea. "Let Lowell take the phone."

"Tell me where you are. Still in Verdania? Drop me your location, and I'll come to you!"

"I'm with my fiancée; it's not a good time." Phillipe shot her down directly.

"So, it's only convenient if your fiancée isn't there?"

Abella stayed quiet.

"We're not in some secret relationship. Didn't you say you see me as a little sister? Can't I come to see you off? Your fiancée isn't narrow-minded. I don't care; if you don't tell me, I'll find out where you are."

Abella stayed quiet.

"If you got nothing else, I'm hanging up." Before Molly could say more, Phillipe ended the call.

"My friend's sister, we don't usually keep in touch. Don't get the wrong idea," Phillipe explained, glancing at Abella several times, worried she'd really misunderstand.

Abella looked ahead, smiling playfully. "I know, you only met once."

Phillipe quickly added, "That was because one of my friends had a birthday party, and she happened to be there. She usually stays at school and rarely joins our hangouts."

"You seem to know quite a bit."

"No, it's not like that."
