Chapter 264 Trying to Please
Seeing the endless dispute between the two brothers, Mrs. Medici smiled and said to Abella, "Abella, why don't you go and see Phillipe off so long? We'll meet you at the entrance in a little while."
"Okay." Abella nodded.
As Phillipe walked past the grand hall with his arm around Abella's shoulder, Isla's mouth opened wide, as if it could fit two eggs.
Isn't that the man who haunted her dreams?
He was actually embracing Abella, his head lowered. She did not know what he was saying to that bitch, but she was smiling at him, her gaze flirtatious!
But wasn't that bitch just hugging Blake moments ago? It's too much!
The key point is, how did she do it? She managed to attract two high-quality men at once without being noticed. They were even eating at the same restaurant, but the two men didn't notice each other's presence!
That's too incredible.
Seeing them leave the restaurant, Isla immediately stood up and said, "Remy, I need to go to the restroom for a moment."
Remy wanted to ask if her stomach was not feeling well, but seeing that she didn't head towards the restroom, he wondered where was she going? Did she leave the restaurant to get some fresh air? Was she upset about tonight's events?
In a hurry, Isla arrived outside the restaurant. Standing at a distance, she saw the man, in the dim light, cupping Abella's face and passionately kissing her.
She covered her mouth, unable to believe what she was seeing!
Their relationship seemed more intimate than she had imagined!
Phillipe greedily absorbed the sweetness from the girl, and only after a while did he reluctantly let go, saying, "I really want to take you home."
In contrast, Abella seemed indifferent. "I'll be taking my family's car home later. You go home now."
"Leaving me alone again?" Phillipe's tone sounded somewhat mournful.
Abella helplessly said, "Be a good boy."
"Then give me something as compensation." Phillipe said.
Amused by this man always asking for compensation, Abella smiled and lifted herself onto her tiptoes, planting a soft kiss on his lips. "Is that enough now?"
Phillipe held her tighter and said, savoring the taste, "Too little, be more generous?"
Abella tiptoed again and gave him another kiss.
Watching them passionately kiss, Isla seethed with anger and cursed countless times in her heart: What a bitch!
She saw right through the game of giving in and resisting!
However, Isla suddenly thought of something and took out her phone to take a picture.
Soon, she would make sure that this man or Blake gets to see what a disgusting and scheming person this woman is! She's so conniving!
After a while, Phillipe gently rubbed Abella's face and said, "I'll wait here with you for Uncle and Aunt to come out."
"No need, you can go home so long" Abella said, as if coaxing a child. "Be obedient, drive safely, and drive slowly."
"I'll call you when I get home." Phillipe reluctantly withdrew his hand and looked at her a few moments before turning and walking to the parking lot.
Abella turned around and saw Isla hiding in the bushes. She smirked coldly and asked, "Did you take enough pictures?"
Isla didn't expect Abella to notice her from such a distance and know that she took photos.
Seeing Abella approaching step by step, Isla instinctively felt a bit scared, but she still took the initiative to come out.
She confronted Abella, pointing her finger and scolding, "You are so shameless! Just moments ago, you were all lovey-dovey with Blake, and now you're being so intimate with this man! Are you truly so despicable to the core? You can't survive without a man?"
Lovey-dovey with Blake?
Abella realized what Isla was referring to and found it amusing. She raised her hand and slapped Isla's cheek with a crisp sound in the darkness.
"You think you're so smart! It seems you didn't learn your lesson from the last time. Let me remind you again. Your words only reveal how low your intelligence really is."
"You... You disgusting woman! How dare you insult me." Isla covered her face with one hand, seething with anger. She was about to hit Abella back.
At this moment, a RV drove up. The driver quickly got out of the car and approached Abella respectfully, asking, "Miss, is there anything wrong? Do you need my help?" He finished speaking and glanced warily at Isla.
"No need to bother with her." Abella turned around and got into the RV, completely ignoring Isla.
Isla was furious. She knew she would be at a disadvantage if she made a move with the driver protecting Abella. "Just you wait and see, this isn't over!"
After uttering her threats, Isla returned to the lobby and saw the Wilson couple rushing towards a group of people, trying to gain favor with them.
"Mr. Medici, I didn't expect to run into you here! We're having a banquet for our daughter tonight. I wonder if you have the time to come and have a drink with us?" Mr. Wilson said in a humble manner.
"My husband doesn't drink." the elegant and noble Mrs. Medici coldly responded. "Even if he had the time, why would he grace you with his presence?"
They never held them accountable for mistreating their precious daughter before! How dare they come and insult them?
"Madam, I apologize. My husband can't speak well. Please don't be angry." Mrs. Wilson nudged Mr. Wilson's elbow, urging him to apologize.
Mr. Wilson quickly put on a smile, bowed with humility, and patted his own mouth a couple of times. "Yes, it's my fault for being ineloquent. Please don't take it to heart. We just want to ensure that you're happy tonight, so we were a bit too eager to invite you for a drink."
The Medici family had such a strong presence, whether it was the Mr. Medici's immediate family or George's family, they seemed to be looking down on people from up in the clouds. Under the powerful aura of this family, Mr. Wilson felt like a mere ant, utterly insignificant.
"But I can tell that you're not happy about something, Mr. Wilson, please step aside," Mrs. Medici said with a furrowed brow.
Seeing that Mrs. Medici had no intention of wasting time with them, Mr. Wilson felt embarrassed yet he was reluctant to miss out on this great opportunity.
Mrs. Wilson, too, wore a smile as she asked, "Madam, could there have been some misunderstanding between us before? The other day..."
Before Mrs. Wilson could finish her sentence, Mrs. Medici raised her gaze and glanced at the manager. Immediately understanding, the manager stepped forward and said, "Apologies, Mr. Wilson, Mrs. Wilson, please excuse us." With a wave of his hand, he cleared a path for the Medici family to pass by, and their powerful aura made the Wilson family tremble in awe.
As Mr. Wilson watched the Medici couple walk away, he couldn't help but call out, "Mr. Medici..." He longed to say a few more words, even if it meant being disliked or belittled by them...
