Chapter 818 Agreed
Blake was stunned for a moment, looked at Abella, and a flash of regret passed through his eyes.
"Are we changing guests now, or...?" Before Brenda could finish her sentence, her phone vibrated. It was an unknown number calling.
She was a bit puzzled but instinctively answered, "Hello, yes, this is Brenda. Yes, our manager went to the hospital for a minor surgery yesterday. I'm currently in charge of Blake's work. Are you Kiki? Summer's manager?"
Brenda's tone was unmistakably shocked, "Hello Kiki, I've heard so much about you. Thank you very much for recognizing Blake. Yes, the concert starts at seven, and the final guest should appear at 8:05. Okay, I'll send the duet song to your phone shortly. Let me know when you're close, and I'll come to pick you up. Bye."
After ending the call, Brenda was still in a daze. After a while, she excitedly screamed, "Blake, Summer said she is willing to be the ffinalguest at our concert. Her manager asked me to send over the duet song for her to review, and she'll pass it to Summer!"
"Really?" Blake didn't expect Summer to agree so suddenly. He happily hugged Abella, "Make sure to stay until the end. Summer's singing is amazing."
"Blake, do you like her?"
"Who wouldn't like someone talented with a beautiful voice?" Blake rubbed Abella's face, seemingly happy to give her a surprise.
However, Phillip looked at the well-behaved Abella and suddenly smirked.
'Does Abella know Kiki? Or does she know Summer? How could she persuade Summer to agree to be the finale guest in such a short time?' He thought to himself.
"Let's go, I'll take you to get some good food." Blake, in high spirits, wanted to take Abella backstage.
But Abella stopped, "You go rehearse first. I'll go with Phillipe."
"You two." Blake didn't expect Abella to think of Phillipe in everything she did now, "Alright then, Phillipe, don't eat all the good food. Save some for Abella. I'll go rehearse now. The concert is about to start. Do you want me to sing a couple of songs for you now?"
"We'll go see what good food there is." Phillipe put his arm around Abella's shoulder, not letting her stay to listen for even a second.
"Is my singing that bad? There are so many people outside lining up to listen."
With Summer joining, that song would definitely sound great.
Thinking this, Blake looked at Abella's back, his gaze softening.
"Abella, I'll take you backstage." Brenda sent Blake's new song to Kiki and then led Abella and the others backstage, "Take your time looking around. All this food is ordered by Blake for you. Take your time eating. Our manager is in the hospital, so it's just me handling everything. I'll go check the stage effects. The concert is about to start."
"Okay." Abella nodded, watching her leave.
Phillipe didn't expect Blake to really order a bunch of food and drinks for Abella. It seemed he was genuinely worried about her being hungry.
"It's all Blake's thoughtfulness." Phillipe poked a straw into the lemon tea and handed it to Abella.
Abella took a sip and asked, "Aren't you drinking?"
"Blake told me to save some for you. How about we share this one?"
"Be careful, Blake might punch you."
Phillipe couldn't help but laugh.
After a while, Blake finished rehearsing and walked backstage with a few celebrities.
"Let me introduce you. This is my sister, my real sister." Blake ruffled Abella's hair, introducing her as his sister, "They are the popular boy band KING. You probably haven't paid much attention since you love studying."
The male celebrities laughed and greeted Abella, each extending a hand to shake hers. But Blake quickly pulled Abella to his side, "What are you doing? Just greet her verbally. Abella is only a freshman."
"What are you thinking? It's just a handshake."
"Didn't expect you to be so protective of Abella."
"Abella is much prettier than Lola. No wonder she's your real sister. Her looks are top-notch."
At this moment, the male celebrities noticed several bags of food and drinks on the table. Just as they were about to grab a drink to quench their thirst, Blake quickly guarded the bags, "These are for Abella. Yours are over there."
"What's the difference?" The male celebrities suddenly suspected that Abella's drinks were better.
"Abella, what are you drinking? Let me see."
"Is it lemon tea? Do you also like sour things?"
The male celebrities continued chatting with Abella, and Blake said, "Move along, Abella has a fiancé."
"Engaged so young?"
"Abella, who is your fiancé? Why settle down so early? You should enjoy a few more years."
"Blake dotes on you so much, yet he lets you get engaged so soon."
"So, I don't stand a chance."
Blake was about to ask Abella where Phillipe was when the backstage door opened, and Phillipe walked in. "I just stepped out to take a call, and someone's already hitting on my fiancée?"
As soon as Phillipe entered, the male celebrities immediately greeted him. "Phillipe? You're her fiancé? My apologies, you two really are a perfect match."
They loved to tease, but they were usually very familiar with Phillipe and Blake, so their words were always casual.
At this moment, Brenda knocked on the door, slightly out of breath, "They're about to start checking tickets outside. Abella, I'll take you to your seats."
"No need, I'll take her."
"Thank you, Mr. Bourbon. Blake, you guys rest for a bit. The stylist will be here soon. It's almost time to get ready. I'll go check on some other details with the staff." Brenda hurriedly left again.
Phillipe led Abella from backstage to the seating area, and other fans who had passed the ticket check were also entering through other doors.
They were all orderly, each holding a small bag. Seeing Phillipe and Abella empty-handed, they handed them a small bag and a few glow sticks.
"We're Blake's fans. Wherever we go, we leave a clean and tidy impression so that people will think Blake is a well-mannered star. The bag is for trash, remember to take your trash with you when you leave. The glow sticks are a gift for you. Wishing you a long and happy life together."
Abella didn't expect Blake's fans to be so friendly, "Thank you."
