Chapter 602 Abella Arrives

Maria was at a loss for words. After a bit, she asked, "So, what did Mr. Bourbon give Abella? Did you find out?"

Lola replied, "He confessed to her with a bunch of drones and a light show on all the Bourbon Group's skyscrapers in Sunhavenia. There were also tons of flowers."

Some resort guests saw it, took pictures, and posted them online.

Even though the distance was far and the couple's faces weren't clear, the girl's outfit matched what Abella wore today.

That figure, that vibe—it was definitely Abella.

"And what about Mr. Hall? What did he give you?" Maria asked.

Lola said, "He gave me a ring on Christmas Eve and a necklace on Christmas Day."

Maria added, "Are they expensive?"

Lola replied, "Together, they cost about four hundred thousand dollars."

Maria secretly sighed in relief. 'At least it's more valuable than what Phillipe did for Abella. The light show is just a waste of electricity. The flowers are just cheap.'

Maria said, "Seems like Mr. Bourbon is tired of her, just putting on a show and not spending money."

Lola was surprised. "No way, I think Phillipe is quite attentive to her."

Maria asked, "Is Phillipe short on money?"

Lola replied, "No."

"Then why didn't he buy a pricey ring or necklace for Abella? If he's so attentive, why not spend money?"

"But girls find such surprises romantic."

Lola thought Henry was too rigid, not knowing how to create such romance, and the styles he chose weren't as nice as those given by her brothers. Plus, he gave them directly, without any surprise.

"By the way, there are fewer videos and comments online about 'James taking his girlfriend shopping.' If you don't search for it, you won't find related news. Your uncle must have used his connections to suppress it, not wanting you to see. I guess he's feeling guilty." Maria continued to stir the pot. "I think he's biased, buying so many things for Abella. They say in ten hours, a plane will land at the Manor, filled with gifts your uncle bought for Abella. They even told us to bring more people to pick them up because there are so many."

Lola was much calmer. "I saw in the comments that some mall employees said Abella bought a lot of things from QY clothing store for Uncle James, and Uncle James was just returning the favor. Some people even mentioned their family relationship, making it hard for netizens to keep discussing it, so the hot topic died down."

Maria noticed that tonight Lola kept defending Abella, and she became anxious.

Lola had been swayed without even realizing it!

She had worked so hard to correct Lola's thinking, but the Medicis had turned her thoughts around again!

At that moment, Lola heard a noise downstairs, and soon someone knocked on her door. "Ms. Lola Medici, Ms. Lola Medici, are you resting? Mrs. Harris has woken up!"

Hearing this, Lola quickly said goodbye to Maria, hung up, and ran downstairs.

Meanwhile, Abella got the news that Vanessa had woken up and rushed back to the manor.

"I'll visit your grandmother once she's stable." Phillipe patted Abella's head, feeling content.

Abella had spent a whole hour with Phillipe tonight, more than he expected. But now, Vanessa needed her, and they had to reunite.

Phillipe knew it wasn't the right time for him to be there. "I'll go in first," Abella said, nodding before heading into the manor.

Phillipe watched her go, then took out his phone to reply to his brothers.

In the hospital room, Vanessa was emotional, trying to speak but too overwhelmed. Her hand trembled as if reaching for something.

"Mom, I know what you want to say. Please calm down," Kimberly said, holding her hand anxiously. "Take it easy."

"Yes, Grandma, don't rush," Lola added.

Vanessa looked around the room at Kimberly, Beckett, James, her grandchildren, and Lola, the granddaughter she had loved for eighteen years. Tears filled her eyes.

"Mom, why are you crying?" Beckett asked, wiping her tears. "Are you uncomfortable?"

Vanessa looked at Lola and cried, but no one knew what she was thinking.

Lola's eyes reddened. She knew Vanessa loved her the most. Among her five brothers, she was the most pampered.

When her brothers were naughty, Vanessa would educate them. But when she caused trouble, Vanessa would just laugh.

Kimberly had already told Vanessa the truth. Were Vanessa's tears from regret or reluctance to let go of this granddaughter?

Suddenly, Vanessa had trouble breathing, gasping for air like a fish out of water.

"Mom, what's wrong?" Kimberly panicked.

"Quick, call the nurse," James said. Aimee replied, "The nurse went to shower. I told her I could watch, not expecting Mrs. Harris to wake up suddenly."

Aimee regretted it deeply.

Vanessa's face turned red from lack of oxygen, her body heaving violently, causing a brain hemorrhage.

"Everyone, move aside!" A hurried voice called out.

Everyone felt relieved hearing Abella's voice.

They made way, and Abella immediately said, "Aimee, get my medical kit from my room."

"Yes!" Aimee ran as fast as she could.

Abella pressed several acupoints on Vanessa. After getting the medical kit, she quickly treated her.

Soon, Vanessa's body calmed down, her exaggerated gasps ceased, but her eyes remained moist, staring at Abella.

"Abella, is your grandma okay?" Kimberly asked worriedly.

"She's fine, just too many people and too much emotion," Abella said after checking Vanessa. "It's not serious."

"That's good," Kimberly sighed in relief.

As Abella was about to withdraw her hand, Vanessa suddenly grabbed her wrist.

Abella looked at her in surprise, seeing Vanessa's tear-filled eyes holding onto her tightly.

Abella spoke gently, "Grandma, this is our first meeting since you woke up. Let me introduce myself. My name is Abella, and I've been back in this family for half a year."
