Chapter 355 Guarded by Two Men

Phillipe thought, "Why didn’t she listen to her fiancé? Why does she listen to Ethan? I’m a little jealous!"

"Since Mrs. Allen wants to take her child home for some discipline, we really shouldn't stand in her way," Mrs. Medici remarked before suddenly adding, "Oh, by the way, did you just mention that my daughter Abella kicked your child so severely that she coughed up blood?"

"Nothing of the sort," Mrs. Allen smiled meekly, displaying not a hint of anger. She said, "It's probably just a peptic ulcer or acute gastritis causing her to vomit blood. I'll have the doctor check it out later."

"Oh, so she’s ill..." Mrs. Medici nodded thoughtfully and said, "Well, ensure that the doctor examines her thoroughly."

Everybody, “...”

Several pressing gazes fell upon the department head, who was stunned for a moment but then spoke up vehemently, "I've seen the video. The behavior is reprehensible, so Lucine must be punished with an expulsion!"

Josie, “...”

Joanna, “...”

Clare, “...”

“Why didn't you say that before??” They questioned.

"I, as the department head, will personally handle the procedures of Lucine's expulsion. No favoritism will be tolerated!" The department head dashed out, fearing that any delay would make him implicated in the situation...
Mrs. Medici, holding Abella's hand with concern, asked, "Abella, are you hurt? Is boot camp tiring you out?"

"Not at all. I'm fine and unhurt..."

Inside, both Joanna and Josie admired, “What a gentle mother! Having such a family, Abella must be quite fortunate.”

Suddenly, Joann recalled something, and she reacted, as if struck by lightning. She thought, “I’ve always wondered why the Medici couple looks so familiar when I first saw them on the first day of school...”

“It turns out Mr. Medici is the nation's wealthiest man!” Joann realizes.

At this moment, Instructor Liam, who finished up at the base and heard what had happened, sped toward the department head's office as fast as lightning.

Upon entering, he grabbed Abella's arm and asked urgently, "Are you alright? Tell me which part of your body hurt? Is it your hand or your foot? Do you have any other injuries? Tell me!!"

“If she is hurt, it would be the end of my life!!” Liam thought.

"Hey, you can’t just grab my fiancée's hand just as you please."

"Let go of my sister. You're hurting her!"

The two men shouted in unison, startling Liam into releasing his grip. Liam looked up to see one of them, Phillipe, a global tycoon, and the other, the Secretary of Homeland Security...

“What did they just say??” Liam pondederd.

“Abella is Phillipe's fiancée and also Mr. Medici's sister...” Liam thought in realization.

The sheer gravity of the information rooted Liam to the spot, so he was stunned.

Phillipe looked at the military-clad instructor in front of him and thought, “A man about my age. Is he relying on his youth to chase after my fiancée?”

“Is this instructor really worried because my fiancée was in trouble?” Phillipe continued to wonder.

With these thoughts, Phillipe asked in a cool voice, "Which squad and which platoon are you from?"

Ethan also stepped forward and asked aggressively, " Which company and which battalions are you from?"

Phillipe and Ethan demanded in unison, "What's your name?!"

Liam, who had never encountered such a situation, completely freaked out and was stunned silent by the men's simultaneous questioning.

“How powerful is Abella's network? Why isn’t she doing anything to intervene on my behalf, I, her poor instructor, at this time?” Liam thought to himself.

“I don't want this job anymore; it’s so terrifying!” Liam concluded in his mind.

Seeking salvation, Liam turned to Abella, but Phillipe immediately said, "Do you think my fiancée is pretty?"

“How dare he keep looking at her?” Phillipe wondered.

"And you think it's okay to ogle my sister?"

Liam's silent plea was clear, “Help! Can somebody save me?”

“I now understand why Battalion Lopez has taken such personal interest in ensuring Abella's safety, with explicit instructions to take good care of her.” Liam said to himself.

“The Bourbon family and the Medici family—I couldn't afford to cross either of them!” Liam thought in awareness.

Just as Abella was about to speak, one of Ethan's men recognized Liam and interjected, " Secretary, he's a friend of mine... Umm... He's gay! He's already taken! There's no way he'd have ill intentions toward Miss Abella!"

Liam was dumbfounded, thinking, “What??? Thank you so much for saving me by twisting my sexual orientation...”

Ethan was clearly skeptical, his gaze upon Liam growing colder. He thought, “How dare he hold my sister’s arm in such manner when he’s allegedly in a relationship?”

“I haven’t touched my sister's arm—even though I’m her brother.”
“Why does this instructor get to do that?” Ethan thought.

"Secretary, Miss Abella is a student under his supervision. If anything goes wrong, he's responsible, and that's why he grabbed her arm in a panic..."

The subordinate gave Liam a look as if to say, “Say something yourself! I can't always be the one to bail you out!”

Taking the cue, Liam responded, "Yes, I was just too anxious and didn't handle things properly..."

While this conversation unfolded, Mrs. Allen and Lucine remained in a bowing stance.

Friends of Lucine were distraught and wanted to distance themselves from her. “The assumption was that she could get away with anything in New York because of the Allen family's money and their ties to the Bourbon family.”

“But the value of that relationship has proven to be thinner than paper.”

Lucine has sincerely apologized, yet Abella hasn't forgiven her. Abella simply said that opportunities come only once or twice, and when they're gone, they're gone...
“What are we supposed to do now?” They thought.

“If Abella doesn't forgive us... If we are asked to leave school...”
“No, that’s acceptable.” They wondered.

They couldn't stand to leave Medical University, nor did they want their parents to suffer humiliation, apologizing humbly like Mrs. Allen...

And then, another figure approached.

The department head arrived at Mrs. Allen's side with the freshly processed expulsion papers in hand. "The paperwork is all set!" he exclaimed. Emboldened by the completion of the task, he thought, “All that is needed now is for Mrs. Allen to swiftly take Lucine away, and this will be over. I don’t want any trouble.”

Mrs. Allen received the documents humbly and asked, "Mr. and Mrs. Medici, now that everything is taken care of, may I take Lucine home for some proper discipline?"

It seemed only then that Mrs. Medici acknowledged Mrs. Allen’s presence. Glancing at her waist, Mrs. Medici remarked, "Why are you still bending over? At your age, you have to be careful not to hurt your back..."

Mrs. Allen, well aware that Mrs. Medici was deliberately making her wait in this submissive posture, dared not speak.

"This foolish act of my daughter is like a ton of bricks on my back... How can I stand straight?"

"Alright then, since my daughter has decided not to pursue the matter, you two can go home now."

With Mrs. Medici's words, Mrs. Allen, still bent over, offered another apology to Abella before finally standing up straight and leaving with Lucine.

Lucine's friends, one after the other, desperately offered their apologies to Abella.

Considering Lucine was the culprit behind the drug incident, Abella chose not to cause them further trouble. However, Clare made it clear with a stern warning that if they dared to cause any more trouble in the future, their fate would be worse than Lucine's!

The girls, unaccustomed to such confrontation, nodded frantically, their gratitude overflowing.

Clare insisted they keep their mouths shut about the day's events. The girls hastily agreed...

“Please, as if we would ever want to reveal such an embarrassing incident...” They thought to themselves.
