Chapter 844 Further Confirmation
"I just can't bear to see Abella get tired, so I wanted to hand over the new clothes to someone outside to make."
Kimberly's words made all the designers envious.
"Your mom is so good to you."
"I'm really jealous that you have such a good mom."
"We'll follow your lead. However you want to modify it, we'll do it."
"The few designs you just modified for Mr. Medici and Mrs. Medici were really amazing. They were so stunning and eye-catching."
At this moment, Lauren happily stepped forward, "Mr. Medici and Mrs. Medici, Ms. Medici, and Ms. Lott are here!"
Camila was Ethan's girlfriend.
"Perfect timing, let her in quickly." Kimberly happily got up to greet her.
"Mr. Medici and Mrs. Medici, I hope I'm not disturbing you?" Camila changed her shoes at the door, smiling beautifully.
Her eyes inadvertently fell on Abella on the sofa, and she smiled, "Abella, you're here too? I just sent you a message."
At this time, she thought Abella would be working outside, so she specifically mentioned that she would come to the Medici Manor to deliver something, including a small gift for Abella.
"Abella was just revising a draft and didn't check her phone. You could have sent it to me!" Kimberly saw her hands full of things and hurried to help, "You didn't have to bring so many things. Where's Ethan? Didn't he come back with you?"
"He still has tasks to handle." Camila smiled, "Easter is coming up, so I bought some things for you and Mr. Medici,, and Abella."
Not a word about Lola.
"You're so thoughtful! Come in and sit down. I was just about to ask Ethan about your clothing size to get some custom-made clothes for you. Ms. Myers, come over and help measure Camila. I think her figure is similar to Abella's, so you can design a few styles for her too." Kimberly said happily.
"No need, Mrs. Medici. I'm just passing by and have other tasks to attend to." Camila couldn't stay long. She originally planned to visit the Medici Manor before Easter, but she had too many tasks. She only had this short time to slip out today. She looked at the time, "I have another matter to discuss. My parents want to invite you and Mr. Medici to dinner after Easter. Would that be convenient for you?"
She came in person to show her parents' respect for Beckett and Kimberly.
Kimberly was overjoyed, "Of course, anytime is convenient for us. It depends on your parents' schedule. Oh, by the way, how did Ethan do when he visited your home recently?"
She had asked Ethan before, but he didn't reveal much.
"My parents really like him." Camila smiled, "They have high praise for Ethan."
"Come in and sit." Abella stepped forward, "Let's not all stand around."
Kimberly then realized she and Camilahad been standing and chatting for a while, "Look at me, I am so happy that lost my mind. Camila, come in and sit."
"I have to go." Camila glanced at the clock on the wall. She couldn't stay any longer. She looked at Abella, "I'll come to hang out with you in a few days."
She gave Abella a big hug.
While hugging Camila, Abella whispered in her ear, "Is it dangerous?"
"No problem." Camila smiled, not wanting to worry Beckett and Kimberly, and afraid the designers would hear, she didn't reveal much, "I have to go now. Mr. Medici and Mrs. Medici, I'll visit you again on Easter. Abella, see you later."
"Leaving already? You brought so many things. Wait, I'll walk you out." Kimberly hurriedly followed her, "Next time you come to your own home, don't bring anything. It's too wasteful. Do you have any time off this year to come home with Ethan for a meal?"
"Sure." Camila smiled, "I really like the atmosphere of the Medici family. Why didn't I see Lola today?"
Normally, with designers coming to take measurements, Lola wouldn't miss this opportunity for anything.
"She..." Kimberly considered Camila as her daughter-in-law, so she didn't hide it, "I sent her to the next building to reflect."
After hearing Kimberly's explanation, Camila was a bit angry, "Why hasn't she learned her lesson? Last time she told her classmates that Abella, relying on her looks and good grades, sweet-talked her way into your favor, became your goddaughter, took on the Medici name, and lived under the same roof. If I hadn't caught her lying, I wouldn't have known she was badmouthing Abella behind her back!"
"What did you say?" Kimberly couldn't believe it. This was months ago, and she didn't expect Lola to be so outrageous, speaking recklessly at school!
Camila added, "Those classmates thought Abella, an adopted daughter, was bullying Lola, and they all stood up for Lola!"
"Because, after all, I'm an outsider. This is the Medici family's business, and I shouldn't interfere too much. So I called Ethan to the school. In front of Ethan and me, Lola first pretended to faint to find an excuse to leave. Later, those friends realized she was lying. Those friends also broke off with Lola."
Kimberly's heart sank. She never expected Lola to become like this, lying habitually and being two-faced.
Lola used to be such a well-behaved and sensible child, excelling in everything.
How did she change so drastically in just six months?
"Mrs. Medici," Camila felt it necessary to share her opinion, "Lola has been bullying Abella for a long time. She once tearfully promised Ethan she wouldn't do it again. Ethan gave her a chance and didn't tell you and Mr. Medici. But after so long, she pulled the same trick at Mr. Wodehouse's birthday party. This shows she never thought she was wrong. Instead, she's been looking for opportunities to get back at Abella. I think, with her around, Abella will only suffer more."
Kimberly was deeply shaken. She had thought about giving Lola another chance, but now it seemed Lola wouldn't change.
"She's very good at putting on a show in front of others but often bullies Abella in private." Camila checked her phone, realizing she was out of time, "Mrs. Medici, I have to go. Please consider this matter carefully."
After all, she hadn't married into the Medici family yet, so it wasn't appropriate to say too much.
"Come home with Ethan for a meal when you have time." Kimberly watched her leave, then returned to the main building, only to find Abella was gone.
"She had something urgent to handle and went upstairs to work." Beckett approached Kimberly and whispered, "Honey, we can lower the news heat now."
