Chapter 709 Only Telling You

Erica had three girls with her, and they all stepped up like they were ready to throw down with Abella.

"My girls here? One's a Taekwondo champ, one's a kickboxing queen, and the other's a mixed martial arts beast," Erica bragged. "If you beg for mercy now, I might tell them to go easy on you. But you gotta apologize and be my servant for three days."

Abella just smirked. "Why should I say sorry to you? And be your servant? Yeah, right. If you wanna fight, let's get to it. No point in yapping."

Erica was shocked at Abella's guts. "Clarissa, Courtney, Daniela, show her what's up!"

Clarissa, Courtney, and Daniela swung at Abella, but she took them down in no time, leaving them almost in tears from the pain.

Erica couldn't believe her eyes!

Yesterday, when she got her butt kicked, she thought Abella just knew some basic moves. She had no idea she was this tough!

"Clarissa, aren't you a blue belt in Taekwondo?" Erica stammered, backing away as Abella got closer. "Courtney, didn't you beat your coach? And Daniela, didn't you win a martial arts competition?"

"Erica, you should run," Clarissa groaned from the ground, "Didn't you see? Even the boxing champ of Verdania wouldn't stand a chance against her."

Erica was floored.

She had a hunch Abella was strong, but not this strong.

Daniela and Courtney were pissed that Erica dragged them into this mess. The moment Abella made her move, they knew they were outmatched.

With someone this powerful, what was Erica thinking, thinking their basic skills could take her down?

And Erica wanted Abella to be her servant. What a joke.

But weirdly, Abella didn't go all out; she just knocked them down without really hurting them.

If she wanted to, she could've seriously injured them in seconds.

But she didn't.

Daniela, Courtney, and Clarissa were secretly thankful and kinda impressed.

It was too late for Erica to run; in no time, Abella tossed her into the flower bed, leaving her scratched up and with a sprained waist.

Just then, Abella saw Derek finishing his speech in the main hall and heading upstairs.

She quickly made her way to the main hall and bumped into Bonnie.

"What happened?" Bonnie asked, eyeing her.

Abella replied, "Look at Grandpa Derek; he seems to be heading back to his room."

Bonnie looked confused. "He can't go back?"

Abella nodded. "There are two bodyguards I knocked out inside."

One was out cold in the bathroom, and Abella had worn his clothes to blend in.

The other was knocked out at the study door.

Bonnie didn't expect Abella to be so hardcore and immediately stepped forward.

Derek, with Ulysses and Angie, was about to go upstairs when he heard Bonnie's voice. "Uncle Derek, I need to talk to you."

Derek turned around, smiling kindly. "It's Bonnie. Whatever it is, wait till I come back down. I need to change my clothes first."

Hearing Derek was really heading back to his room, Bonnie quickly said, "It's about Alexis."

Not just Derek, but Ulysses and Angie had a flicker of something in their eyes.

Bonnie caught that look and wasn't about to let it slide. She grinned, "Today’s your birthday, Uncle Derek. Think of this as a big gift."

Derek smiled. "I don’t know who you’re talking about. Even if I did, it wouldn’t matter."

Seeing Derek about to head upstairs again, Bonnie smirked. "Oh, it matters."

Derek paused.

Bonnie added, "This is about the Harris family. As an elder, don’t you wanna know what he said?"

Derek thought for a moment and said, "Alright, come upstairs with me."

"Nope, I pick the spot." Bonnie flashed a charming smile. "Uncle Derek, follow me."

Derek gave Ulysses and Angie a look before following Bonnie.

As Bonnie passed Abella, she gave her a look, and Abella got the hint, sneaking upstairs to move the bodyguards.

In the garden, Bonnie noticed Ulysses and Angie had followed and smiled. "I’ll only tell Uncle Derek."

"In terms of seniority, we’re higher. If Derek can know, why can’t we?" Angie snapped.

"No," Bonnie kept smiling, emphasizing each word, "Because you’re unreasonable, and I don’t wanna share with you."

Angie, fuming, stormed off.

Ulysses left with a dark look.

"Now can you tell me?" Derek asked, confused by Bonnie’s actions, which could easily make Ulysses and Angie dislike him.

From a distance, Angie saw Bonnie’s lips moving and occasionally looking their way, as if talking about them.

"What’s Bonnie saying? Why does she keep looking at us?" Angie was annoyed.

Ulysses, however, smirked coldly. "If she really knew something, why would she tell Derek?"

"True." Angie realized and thought of another possibility. "Maybe she only knows a bit, not the whole story?"

"Could be."

After Bonnie finished talking, she pulled out a USB-like device and slipped it into Derek’s pocket.

She was already very charming, and every move made Angie grind her teeth in anger.

Angie just thought Bonnie was being flirtatious!

Derek listened to Bonnie’s chatter and finally heard something useful. "The secret’s in the USB."

Derek wanted to go upstairs to check out this so-called secret.

Bonnie saw him heading towards Ulysses and Angie and called out, "Uncle Derek."

Derek turned around, and since she hadn’t finished, he had to ask, "What else?"

"I forgot to tell you the password." Bonnie smiled. "There’s an encrypted folder. Come closer; I’ll only tell you."

As Derek leaned in, she whispered, "123456." He nodded. "Got it."

"Uncle Derek, did you remember?"

"Such a simple password, who could forget? I’m not senile." Derek smiled and went upstairs.

Angie shot Bonnie a dirty look before following Derek.

Ulysses followed too.
