Chapter 640 Arrange Immediately

When Abella visited the finance department, she noticed their financial software was outdated. The interface was messy, the layout was poorly designed, and it lacked the features of top-tier software like X1.

However, since the Bourbon Group developed it in-house, it was pretty secure.

"What's up?" Phillipe asked, seeing her pause.

"The software needs an upgrade," she replied.

The finance department head was secretly pleased but said respectfully, "This is the latest version."

They found it inconvenient too but hadn't reported it due to the high cost of development.

"Any issues?" Phillipe asked Abella.

"The interface is cluttered, the main functions are lacking, the management structure is rigid, and the software is slow and crashes often," Abella said. The finance team nodded in agreement. She nailed it!

The software had been a pain for a while, but no one dared to complain to the higher-ups.

Phillipe was impressed by Abella's insight. "Go on."

"When I watched them, I noticed there's no function to void vouchers, no reconciliation, no cashier signature, and no error marking in voucher reviews," she added.

The employees nodded excitedly. These missing features made their work frustrating.

One employee looked at Abella eagerly, pointing to her screen.

Abella got it immediately. "In the summary table, there's no foreign currency data or statistics by account type, like assets and liabilities."

The employee was thrilled. Abella had pinpointed the exact issues.

Abella looked at Phillipe, puzzled. These were basic features for financial software.

"Why hasn't anyone mentioned this?" Phillipe asked, looking around.

The finance head smiled and said, "We just make do with what we have to avoid wasting resources."

"This isn't about waste. If it affects efficiency, it needs fixing. We can modify it now," Abella said, clicking the mouse and typing a series of codes.

Normally, modifying backend data required a password and Phillipe's consent, but for Abella, it was a breeze.

Her fingers flew over the keyboard, and a series of codes appeared on the screen.

"This will make the reports simpler and more visually appealing," she said, tweaking a few more programs. "And it will make the accounts and vouchers clearer."

Everyone watched in awe as Abella fixed issues that had plagued them for over a year in just a few minutes.

"I've added a new feature," Abella said. "You can now query reports across years and customize shortcut functions."

The employees were thrilled. "Finally! We needed shortcuts so badly, but the software didn't support it."

"Yeah, querying annual reports was a nightmare. Now it's so much easier."

"No more clicking until our hands go numb."

Abella continued, "I've also added a fuzzy search feature. If you forget the exact date, you can search by a keyword in the report, and it pops up immediately."

She demonstrated, and everyone was amazed.

"This is fantastic. Finding specific reports used to take forever."

"Mrs. Bourbon, you're incredible. Are you a software developer?"

"Can you help us upgrade other features?"

Abella's fingers flew over the keyboard. "I've improved some features, added more report types, made operations easier, and simplified parameter settings."

The employees were ecstatic.

"But overall, the software is still outdated. It needs a lot of maintenance and is prone to vulnerabilities. I recommend upgrading or developing a new one," Abella said.

Phillipe agreed immediately, "Arrange it right away."

The employees cheered. Abella's single sentence had more impact than all their complaints.

"Having Mrs. Bourbon here is an honor."

"She identified so many issues and helped us improve them. We're really grateful."

"Will you be involved in the new software development? You seem to know a lot about financial software."

"When will you visit next? We have more questions."

Abella smiled, "We'll see."

"If you have any issues with the software, bring them up to help with improvements," Phillipe said, putting his arm around Abella. "Let's go."

They wouldn't finish the tour in one afternoon at this rate.

Abella nodded, said goodbye, and the crowd reluctantly saw them to the elevator. Once the doors closed, they started discussing.

"What do you think Mrs. Bourbon does? She knows so much about finance. Is she a financial expert or from a wealthy family?"

"She looks like a college student. Her skin is so youthful."

"She's very young and beautiful."

"Anyway, we can finally say goodbye to the old software. With her improvements, it will be much more convenient."

"Looking forward to a better user experience."

"The real point is, Mr. Bourbon, who is usually so stern, seems like a different person around Mrs. Bourbon. Did you notice? He looks at her with so much love."
