Chapter 880 Negotiating Terms

"Besides, Mr. Medici asked me to sit. Who are you to say otherwise? Are you the boss here? Do we follow your orders?" Abella added.

"You... you..." Louie stammered, suspecting Abella of stirring up trouble. He felt a chill from Dennis's cold gaze and got scared. No way he dared to think of himself as the boss here. Abella was just trying to sow discord and make Dennis misunderstand.

"If it weren't for Sean pleading on your behalf last night, do you think you could've escaped?" Dennis leaned back on the sofa, casually stroking a tame little tiger, his tone indifferent.

'Sean? Who's Sean?' Abella thought.

Last night, when she and Theo left in a hurry, she did see a man who had spoken up for her at the car race.

Could that be Sean? But why would a stranger help her repeatedly?

"Since you want that island so badly..."

Before Dennis could finish, Abella cut him off, "It's not that I want it that much."

"It's too expensive for me to afford anyway."

Dennis smirked, "How much money you have isn't my concern. Want the island? Show me your sincerity."

A bodyguard brought over a bottle of red wine and two empty glasses, implying that Abella should pour Dennis a drink.

Abella smiled, picked up the corkscrew, and opened the wine. The aroma of the red wine wafted out, showing it was a fine wine.

She poured the wine slowly, filling the glass a third of the way, letting the aroma spread before adding more.

She picked up the glass, gently swirled it to let the wine breathe, enhancing its fragrance.

She placed the glass in front of Dennis and poured herself a glass. Dennis's smile grew more intrigued.

He didn't expect someone so young to know how to open and pour wine properly. For such a rare wine, a gentle swirl was all it needed. This girl knew her wines.

"Do you drink often?" Dennis asked.

"No," Abella replied.

"Do you know the price of this wine?"

"Around three million dollars."

Theo's eyes widened. Three million dollars for a bottle of wine to entertain guests?

That was generous.

"But for you, Mr. Medici, this wine is probably just average."

So it was just good enough for guests.

"What makes you say that?"

"Even the glasses for guests are so expensive. Mr. Medici, you spare no expense when it comes to wine."

Louie was surprised Abella was right. Dennis did love wine and had a collection of valuable glasses. The wine he usually drank was much more expensive.

He didn't expect Abella to know so much at such a young age.

"I'll toast to you." Abella stood in front of Dennis, raising her glass to drink.

Dennis suddenly spoke, "Hold on."

Abella paused, hearing him say, "Switch glasses."

Did he suspect her of poisoning?

Abella swapped their glasses and drank hers in one go, "Four billion dollars is my best offer. Mr. Medici, I hope you will sell Vitality Isle to me."

Vitality Isle was a prized island to Abella, a weed-covered island to Louie, and one of the many islands Dennis barely remembered.

Dennis looked at her with interest, not drinking, and said calmly, "Give me a reason why I must sell it to you."

"You've got an injury. Last night, I deliberately hit your wound. You must've seen a doctor afterward, right? Did they tell you it's serious and needs surgery?"

Dennis's gaze locked onto her, surprised she nailed it.

Louie was also taken aback, not expecting that Abella really knew medicine. She even guessed what the doctor said.

"Did the doctor tell you that if you delay, you'll face excruciating pain, dizziness, suffocation, and you won't even be able to walk?" Abella added.

Dennis's gaze sharpened, then he chuckled coldly, taking a sip of wine. "Is that your reason?"

It wasn't convincing.

"I can perform the surgery. What your doctors won't do, I will."

"Who says my doctors won't?" Dennis's eyes mocked her ignorance.

"If they could, they would've done it already. They lack the skill, and the risk is too high," Abella said bluntly.

Louie was stunned. Did Abella investigate Dennis's injury beforehand? But those doctors wouldn't dare reveal Dennis's condition. How did she know? And where did she get the nerve to offer to operate on Dennis?

Dennis, however, wasn't surprised. He calmly asked, "Aren't you a bit arrogant, doubting the abilities of world-renowned doctors?"

He found Abella somewhat like himself. The key was, she spoke without a hint of fear, as if she truly knew medicine and could perform surgery, with absolute confidence in her skills.

"Many people beg Ms. Medici for surgery. Ms. Medici doesn't do it. If she offers to do it for you, and for free, you're lucky," Theo couldn't help but say. "If it weren't for the island, Ms. Medici wouldn't care about your life."

"Watch your words," Louie always thought this guy was as arrogant as the girl.

"Did you cough up blood last night?" Abella suddenly asked.

Dennis stared at the girl, surprised she guessed right again. Did she really know medicine?

Last night, she knew Cruz's wound was fatal and didn't bother trying to save him. Today, she accurately predicted so much.

Louie was surprised, looking at Dennis. Did Dennis cough up blood? How did he not know?

Dennis smirked, "I don't trust your medical skills."

Who knew where she came from?

"You don't have to sell the island today," Abella smiled. "By midnight, you'll cough up blood again. At 2 AM, you'll struggle to breathe. By 3 AM, it'll get worse. You'll call your so-called world-renowned doctors. Then you'll know if I'm right."

Theo was still processing when Abella said, "Let's go."

Theo was stunned.

He got up to follow Abella when Dennis asked from the sofa, "Did I say you could leave?"

Louie and his men blocked their way.

"Mr. Medici, you can consider whether this deal is worth it. If I say I can save you, I'm 100% sure. If all the symptoms match what I said tonight, you can decide if he wants to cooperate."

"And if you're wrong?"

"Then you can arrest me later," Abella added calmly. "Mr. Medici, you already know what we look like. In this country, is there anyone you can't catch?"
