Chapter 483 Storming In

"Yes, these are just like the things in your house; although not the latest styles, they are more than enough for eavesdropping."
"Why do they want to monitor us?"
Diana thought to herself, 'no wonder my husband had felt the layout of the house had changed a few times before. At that time, I thought he was overthinking, but now it seemed that those people had entered our home several times, even installing cameras and bugs! '
Just the thought made her shudder.
"However, since only the two of you live here on weekdays, they probably can't be bothered to listen to your every move for 24 hours. Moreover, when we were talking just now, I had already activated the anti-bugging device, so they can't hear our conversation."
Abella took out a small button, which, if not examined closely, looked no different from a real button.
Not only Nicole's parents but even Winston were somewhat surprised. He hadn't expected Abella to carry so many tools with her.
This time, Abella came to investigate Nicole's whereabouts, so she had all sorts of gadgets in her small backpack.
"But our arrival here with Winston should have been captured on surveillance. They can't hear the sound because the audio source was disrupted, but the surveillance footage can still be seen."
"So, this place is not safe?" Diana felt uneasy.
"Yes, you should pack up your things, and we'll leave here as soon as possible."
"Abella just said that Nicole didn't come to Florida; it's pointless for us to stay here, so we might as well pack up and leave with them." Diana discussed this with her husband.
She was still fearful of those people; after all, they were ruthless and skilled.
Nicole's father nodded and joined her in packing their luggage.
Abella took out her phone again, found Joe's WhatsApp, which she had just added, and asked him to book a hotel for safety under the Bourbon family.
"Abella, I don't know how to thank you."
Up to this point in the investigation, Abella was the biggest contributor, but Winston was also worried that the danger around them would affect Abella.
"I'm just looking for my sister-in-law; it's what I should do."
Nicole was part of this family, and since she was missing, Abella felt responsible for finding her.
"Aren't you worried that your sister-in-law won't get along with you in the future?"
After all, Abella had never met Nicole and didn't know her personality.
"What's the big deal, as long as Winston likes her."
Abella wasn't one to mince words, but if Winston approved of someone, their character couldn't be that bad, so she wasn't worried.
Even though she and Nicole were both reserved and quiet and didn't usually get along, as long as Winston was happy, that was enough for her.
Suddenly, a strange noise came from the bedroom, and Diana subconsciously screamed, "Abella!"
Abella realized something was wrong, exchanged a glance with Winston, and immediately entered the room.
In the bedroom, a hooded figure had covered Diana's mouth, leaving Nicole's father alone to struggle with another hooded figure.
Witnessing the scene, Abella aimed a kick at the hooded figure standing beside Nicole's father. The figure, quickly realizing Abella was a force to be reckoned with, dodged the kick. Uninterested in Nicole's father, he focused solely on confronting Abella.
Winston rushed to save Diana, and as he fought with the hooded figure, Diana trembled in fear on the side.
Nicole's father instructed Diana to hide behind the bedside table, then picked up the table lamp and smashed it towards the hooded figure!
The hooded figure noticed the danger and dodged quickly, the lamp narrowly missing Winston's head, but was kicked away by Abella.
Many more hooded figures rushed onto the first floor; Abella turned to Nicole's father behind her and said, "You two go out through the window; I'll have Joe pick you up outside. Winston, use my phone to call Joe."
After saying that, she threw the phone to Winston, locked the door, and looked up at the dozen or so hooded figures in front of her.
"Who are you? Why are you meddling?" The leader of the hooded figures was full of killing intent, his sharp eyes exuding terrifying intimidation.
"It's your daddy." Abella went straight to the attack, not wanting to waste time with them.
Winston had yet to learn what Abella's phone password was, but luckily, he was also a hacker. After a lot of effort, he managed to crack Abella's password, only to find out it was 123456.
He almost shed bitter tears, but after calling Joe, he escorted the two elderly people out of the window, through the yard, and to the front door, where Joe's car had just appeared.
"Aunt and Uncle, don't be afraid; Joe will take you to a safe place." He had to go in and help Abella; he couldn't let her face the danger alone.
"My bag..." Diana cried softly. "There's a scarf knitted by Nicole herself in my bag and a necklace she bought me with her own money."
Although they weren't valuable, each item held special meaning for her, and it was all she had left to remember her by.
"Don't worry; I'll get the bag back soon." Seeing more hooded figures approaching, Winston immediately closed the car door and faced them alone.
"Winston, take care of yourself, Winston..." Diana tapped on the car window. Seeing so many people surrounding Winston, she trembled with fear.
Nicole's father hadn't expected things to become so complicated and dangerous. "Stop the car."
Joe thought he had misheard.
"I can't leave the danger to those two kids; stop the car quickly." Nicole's father felt he had to lend a hand. "Those people are after the two of us; I can't let those kids face them!"
Wasn't that sending the two kids to their deaths?
But Joe hesitated and, in the end, could only say, "Um... Sir, Given Ms. Abella’s formidable prowess, she is more than capable of defeating these individuals single-handedly; your presence is entirely superfluous."
They were both stunned. Could that girl really fight so many people?
"Who are you?" Diana asked Joe, who was driving, "Where are you taking us?"
"Don't worry, Miss Abella and Mr. Medici will come to meet you soon," Joe said, and then, while waiting at a traffic light, he reported the situation to Gabriel.
In other words, as his car left the apartment, those people swarmed out; some of them probably saw his license plate number, so he needed to send more people, or there might be danger.
Meanwhile, the couple was still wondering,Mr. Medici? What does that mean? Why is the driver called Winston like that? Could he be the son of some wealthy family?
Gabriel received the message and immediately ordered his men to hurry to the apartment to help Miss Abella.
At that moment, Abella and Winston had subdued the room full of people, with Abella stepping on the stomach of one of the hooded figures. "Are you going to talk or not?"
