Chapter 739 Looking Forward to Your Wedding

Phillipe had that kind of good looks that screamed royalty and kept folks at arm's length.

When he glanced at people, his eyes had this wild, untamed vibe mixed with a high-and-mighty attitude. But when he looked at his girl, his gaze turned all soft and tender.

This crazy switch-up had Lola totally hooked. She was all about Phillipe's cool, commanding presence, his strong aura that made everyone else fade into the background, his tall, straight stance, and his drop-dead gorgeous face.

She was head over heels for everything about Phillipe.

Next to him, Henry was just... meh.

Right then, Lola even felt a twinge of jealousy towards Abella, who got to be kissed so fiercely and passionately by Phillipe and bask in his love.

Phillipe was still deep in that kiss when Abella's phone buzzed, his eyes still dripping with affection.

Abella saw it was Vanessa calling.

"Abella, James is driving me nuts! I can't deal with him!" Vanessa ranted the second she spoke, "You talk to him!"

Abella chuckled. Before she could calm Vanessa down, she heard James' exasperated voice, "Abella."

"Uncle James." Abella grinned. "Did you tick off Grandma again?"

"She wants to visit Grandpa, but I've been swamped lately." Before James could finish, Vanessa snapped, "When are you not busy? Aimee can come with me, I don't have all day to wait for you."

Abella found Vanessa's outburst amusing, a small smile playing on her lips.

James sighed, "I want to visit Dad too. Once I wrap up my work in the next couple of days, we can go together."

"Who wants to go with you! Abella said I'm fit enough to go solo, ask her if you don't believe me." Vanessa used Abella as her backup. "She also said a ten-hour flight is no biggie."

"Abella would never say something so reckless." James saw through her ploy instantly. "Just hang tight for a few days, okay?"

Seeing they were at a stalemate, Abella chimed in with a smile, "I think Grandma's idea is solid. With Aimee tagging along, she can take the family jet and land right at Uncle Caleb's strip. It's super safe."

"I'm still a bit worried about your grandma's health," James added.

Abella reassured him, "I've checked Grandma's recovery stats from the past few days. Flying's not an issue."

"Did you hear that! Abella said it's cool!" Vanessa shouted, "Aimee, help me pack! Abella said I can go!"

Vanessa's voice was brimming with pure joy and excitement.

Seeing her so set on it, James had no choice but to tell Abella, "But this means you'll have to look after two people at once."

If his parents had any minor issues, it would just be more work for Abella.

Others could only help with small stuff like fetching water or giving meds.

James was just worried Abella would be swamped again, juggling treatments and surgeries.

"It's all good, let Grandma come. A good mood will speed up their recovery." Hearing her say that, James finally smiled and said, "Alright, I'll go with your plan. Has Caleb been treating you well these past few days?"

Abella laughed. "Uncle Caleb and Aunt Bonnie have been awesome. But Uncle James, when are you gonna find yourself a wife?"

"Even you’re on my case about getting hitched." James chuckled. "Instead of worrying about my love life, maybe you should focus on the folks around you."

"You mean Phillipe?" Abella glanced up at Phillipe standing in front of her.

Phillipe, all doting and curious, leaned in closer, his handsome face practically in her phone.

James replied, "Phillipe Bourbon is a solid guy. I can't wait for your wedding."

Phillipe's eyes softened as he gazed at Abella. Her long lashes and bright, laughing eyes had him hooked.

"Phillipe and I are also looking forward to crashing Uncle James' wedding," Abella cut him off before he could say anything. "Alright, enough of this. Bye."

James couldn't help but laugh. He then looked at Vanessa, who was already packing her bags for tomorrow, clearly the happiest she'd been in ages.

"Your grandma's coming tomorrow?" Phillipe asked gently after she hung up.

"Yeah, she should be here around noon." Abella put her phone away. "It's getting late, you should head out."

"You're kicking me out already?" Phillipe was reluctant to leave. With Vanessa coming tomorrow, he probably wouldn't get to see her, and who knew when they'd meet again.

"Maybe my grandma will want to see you tomorrow, and we'll meet again," Abella seemed to read his mind and reassured him.

"What does she like? I can prep a gift and give it to her if I get the chance," Phillipe said, then added, "And for your grandpa, Uncle Caleb, and Aunt Bonnie too."

"Trying to win everyone over, huh?"

"I want them to feel good about trusting you with me, so yeah, gotta make a good impression." Phillipe's eyes were soft as he looked at Abella.

Lola went back to her room and, through the gap in the curtains, saw Phillipe still holding Abella, his hands never leaving her.

He seemed to be really into her.

Lola felt a stab of jealousy. She couldn't figure out what Abella had done to lock down Phillipe's heart so completely.

Right then, Phillipe was holding Abella's hand, walking her towards the main building, probably to see her off.

As they walked, Abella spotted some hosta flowers and reached out to pick them.

Abella picked a few hosta flowers.

"If you like them, pick more." Phillipe indulged her. "If you like them, we can plant some at our future home."

Abella smiled and asked, "You mean Moonlake or Skyline Villa?"

"Wherever you want them. If you like Moonlake, we'll plant them at Moonlake. If you like Skyline Villa, we'll plant them at Skyline Villa," Phillipe said as he kept walking with her.

"What if I don't like either?"

"Then we'll pick another house. As long as you like it, it's cool."

After picking the flowers, Abella let him lead her forward.

Their figures slowly disappeared from Lola's view. She hadn't expected their relationship to get so tight in just half a year.

She was insanely jealous, thinking, 'If it weren't for Abella, maybe Phillipe would like me.'

She even felt sure she could win his heart.
