Chapter 584 Going Viral

James was floored by the manager's comment and asked, "What did you just call her?"

The manager, clearly scared, replied, "Mr. Harris, did we mess up? If you have complaints, talk to our boss, but please don't kick us out. Let us fix it."

Beckett, realizing he couldn't hide it anymore, said, "QY was founded by Abella."

"You just said the designs were mediocre," Kimberly reminded him.

James was stunned.

"Uncle James, if there's anything I need to improve, just let me know," Abella said.

James, taken aback, said, "I didn't know you designed it. How did you create such a big brand at your age?"

Seeing Abella stay quiet, James quickly added, "I just wanted to buy you something to show my appreciation. I was looking at the women's section earlier, but I remembered there were some men's styles I liked."

"Uncle James, you don't have to buy them if you don't like them," Abella said.

"No, I really like them," James insisted. He rushed back to the men's section, picked out a dozen sets, and handed them to the manager. "Wrap these up for me."

As Abella's uncle, he felt he had to support her brand.

He then pointed to more clothes, shoes, and bags. "Wrap all these up too."

"Yes, Mr. Harris!" The manager quickly got the staff to wrap everything.

"Uncle James, do you really like them?"

"Of course, if you don't believe me, ask my bodyguards."

The bodyguards quickly confirmed.

"Mr. Harris really likes this style of suit."

"The shoes he picked are his usual favorites."

"These scarves, brooches, watches, and cufflinks are all his go-tos. He's bought similar ones before."

Half the men's section was soon packed up.

When the bodyguard went to pay, Abella stopped him. "I want to give these to Uncle James."

"No way!" James refused. "If you do that, I'll feel guilty and won't sleep."

"If you don't let me, I won't sleep either."

Seeing he couldn't win, James tried reasoning, "How can I take advantage of you? How much does all this cost? I must pay."

"No."

"Listen to me."

"Not today."

"Why are you so..."

Kimberly stepped in, "Abella wanted to give you these. That's why she kept it a secret, so you could pick what you liked."

"Yes, it's a small token from Abella. Just accept it," Beckett added.

"Kimberly, Beckett, please persuade her."

"No, I can't," Kimberly said, waving her hand.

"She's my daughter; I have to listen to her," Beckett said.

In the end, under Abella's insistence, James' bodyguards left the QY store with dozens of shopping bags.

To outsiders, it looked like James had bought a lot of gifts for his young girlfriend.

The manager and staff bowed as they left.

This scene was captured and posted online.

It instantly went viral.

[Is this James's girlfriend? Really? She looks so young!]

[Looks like there are dozens of shopping bags. How much did that cost? This woman is maxing out James' card.]

[Yeah, so shameless!]

[At least be a bit reserved. Her ambition is so obvious.]

[Is she blinded by money?]

[I wish I could be James' woman. So happy, buying so much from just one store.]

[And with so many bodyguards and store staff accompanying them, so impressive.]

Meanwhile, Abella had no clue she was the target of public criticism as James dragged her to a jewelry store.

"This time, you have to pick a few items!" James insisted, then whispered to Kimberly, "Kimberly, this brand isn't Abella's, right?"

Kimberly laughed. "Nope."

"Good."

The store staff, thinking James was shopping with his young girlfriend, quickly offered their best services, bringing out all the store's treasures.

"James, Chanel across the street has new arrivals. I'll go check them out and be right back," Kimberly said, uninterested in the jewelry, and walked away.

Beckett followed, and some bodyguards left with them, leaving James and Abella in the store.

A staff member brought out a dazzling necklace made of 999 diamonds. "This new design represents eternal love. It really suits this young lady."

Hearing that, James immediately said, "Wrap it up."

"This piece will make her look even more radiant."

James didn't hesitate. "Wrap it up."

Abella was about to refuse when James said, "If you don't let me buy it, I'll buy the entire brand and put it in your name."

Abella was speechless.

The staff around them were envious. James was so domineering. With such a boyfriend, how could this girl not be satisfied? Was she playing hard to get?

"Mr. Harris, how about this set? It represents peace and health."

"Mr. Harris, look at this pair of diamond rings."

"Mr. Harris..."

James bought a lot of jewelry in one go and then took Abella to the next store.

Outside, many people were secretly filming, capturing his generosity.

Meanwhile, in her dorm room, Lola had just finished applying a face mask and was about to go to sleep when a roommate asked, "Lola, isn't James your uncle? The news about him shopping with his girlfriend has gone viral, and it's the top trending topic. Why didn't you tell us you have an aunt now?"

Hearing this, Lola had a bad feeling. She quickly grabbed her roommate's phone to take a look.

Normally, after applying a face mask, she wouldn't look at electronic devices because it could darken her skin.

But now, she saw a video of James and Abella shopping at his mall, with bodyguards carrying dozens of shopping bags.

Her face instantly turned pale.

"Why do I feel like this girl's figure looks familiar?"

"Although her face isn't shown, she seems familiar. Like I've seen her somewhere before."

"I have the same feeling."

"Lola, who is she? Is her family rich?"

"I don't think she has much money. Look at her maxing out your uncle's card. Just at QY, she bought so much. Look at the logo on the shopping bags."

Lola knew that QY was Abella's brand, but she didn't expect Abella to take James to her own brand to shop. Wasn't that just trying to make money off James? How despicable.
