Chapter 544 Show Off a Bit

Hubert stood by, smiling politely. "These students are a bit unruly. I'll make sure they shape up so Mr. Wodehouse won't be disappointed."

Clarence was in a great mood, totally unfazed by everything around him. He thought, 'Not bad, today's trip was worth it!'

Playing chess with Abella and getting new ideas made the trip worthwhile.

He looked at Abella, patted her shoulder, and said, "Think more about inheriting my legacy."

Everyone was shocked.

What did Clarence mean by that?

Had he already chosen his final disciple? And it was Abella, not Elsa?

Everyone instinctively looked at Elsa.

Elsa was shocked, completely surprised.

Clarence asked Abella to reconsider. Had Abella previously rejected him?

How was that possible?

Who would be that foolish?

This was Clarence, the top of the Go world!

It would be laughable for anyone to dream of inheriting his legacy, right?

But Abella just smiled faintly. Clarence was being mischievous, pressuring her in front of everyone, thinking she wouldn't reject him outright.

"You should head back."

Abella didn't mention the inheritance, just changed the topic.

"Alright, make sure to visit me at home when you have time, and occasionally give me a call. Don't always make me call you, and then you don't even pick up!"

Clarence's tone had a bit of complaint, but everyone around was green with envy.

"Got it."

"Then I'm heading back." Clarence was about to leave when he remembered how Rodolfo used to post photos in the group chat to show off during experiments.

He used to think that behavior was too much! Too boring! Too infuriating!

But now, he smiled and said to Abella, "Shall we take a photo together?"

Everyone widened their eyes, watching Clarence pull Abella for a photo. Abella was so lucky to be so highly regarded by Clarence!

After taking the photo, Abella checked the time and knew the match was about to start. "I'm leading the team. See you later."

"See you later, Abella." Clarence looked at the photo on his phone, smiling with immense satisfaction.

He posted over a dozen photos in the group chat. In the photos, he was smiling with squinted eyes, while Abella maintained her elegant and serene demeanor. She looked so beautiful, Phillipe was really lucky!

No way, he hadn't even agreed to this marriage!

He had to check out Phillipe's character and sincerity. If it wasn't up to par, he would never agree!

As Abella was leaving, she got a call from Blake. She was a bit surprised and answered, "Blake?"

"Abella, my world tour's first stop is in Nuw Yark. I reserved two of the best seats for you and Phillipe. Make sure to come, I've already sent the tickets to your phone."

Blake's sunny voice came through the phone, filled with affection.

He sent Abella electronic tickets with QR codes for entry.

"Thanks, Blake."

"Come on, don't be so formal! We're family. Forget two concert tickets, I'd sing just for you anytime!"

Abella chuckled. "Thanks, Blake, but that's really not necessary."

"I heard Winston's back home. Has he been giving you a hard time? If he has, I'll go deal with him!"

Abella smiled. "Blake, can you really take on Winston?"

Even though Winston's skills were pretty weak, he should still be better than Blake, right?

"Don't underestimate me. Even if I can't beat him, I won't let him bully you. Just tell me if Winston's been a jerk, and I'll handle it!"

"No, Winston's been good to me."

"That's a relief." Blake sounded a bit jealous. "I'll be on tour for a while, so I can't be there for you. Hang out with your classmates. If any of them like me and want autographs or tickets, just say yes. I'll give as many as they want, as long as they're good to you."

Abella felt touched.

"If they want to chat or video call, I'm up for it. I'll even treat them to meals and take photos, as long as it makes you happy."

"Blake, you're the best."

"No, you are. I'm so proud to have a sister like you! Be good."

Even over the phone, Blake could picture Abella's cute, obedient expression.

"Call or message me anytime."

'Don't be like last time, when you called about Winston's birthday and then disappeared, not even replying to my messages,' he thought.

It had made Blake lose sleep for nights, feeling like he had done something wrong and lost his place in Abella's heart to Winston.

"I'll message and call you whenever I can, Blake," Abella assured.

"Alright, I won't keep you. Take care at school. You hang up first."

Hearing the lively sounds on her end, Blake knew she was with her classmates and didn't want to take up too much of her time.

"Okay."

After Abella hung up, someone asked, "Abella, how many siblings does your mom have?"

It sounded like quite a few?

"Not that many." Abella gave a vague response.

But someone said, "You know Lola from the Medici family? She has five brothers and is the only daughter, the apple of their eye!"

"She definitely has that rich heiress vibe, but I don't like her."

"Me neither, she always seems so high and mighty, so distant."

"Abella, your last name is Medici too. Are you related?"

"Really?"

Everyone was just curious and gossiping. They didn't think Abella would be related to the Medici family.

There were many people with the last name Medici, even some celebrities, like the popular star Blake.

"Your violin playing earlier was better than Lola's," Abella suddenly said to a short-haired girl.

"Really?" The short-haired girl was surprised. "But my total score wasn't higher than hers."
