Chapter 530 I Wanted to Hug Too

Patricia and Diana rose early, stationed by the entrance, anticipating Nicole's return.

As a car pulled up in the distance, Winston stepped out, holding Nicole's hand, with Raymond right behind them. Upon see this scene, Patricia and Diana were instantly in tears.

"Nicole!" Diana rushed over, hugging her tight, like she never wanted to let go.

Their daughter was back. Finally.

Winston worried about Nicole's wounds reopening but had promised not to mention them.

Patricia joined the hug, her voice breaking. "As long as you're safe, that's all that matters."

Winston, still concerned, joked, "Hey, I want a hug too."

Laughter rippled through the group.

Patricia, noticing Winston's injuries, hugged him gently. Diana followed, asking, "Winston, have you seen a doctor?"

"Yeah, just flesh wounds, nothing serious."

"Don't lie to me. I saw that cut. Did it hurt your bones? And what about Abella? Is she okay?"

"She went back."

"Let's go inside," Diana said. "This house is too big. Abella arranged it and left people to help us. We feel so overwhelmed."

"Yeah, we're just two old folks. We don't need all this, but Abella insisted it was safer."

Inside, Nicole introduced Raymond. Patricia and Diana were shocked to learn he was Nicole's biological brother. On closer look, they did resemble each other.

Raymond explained, "When we were kids, our parents took us to an amusement park. It was crowded, and we got separated. Nicole ended up in an orphanage, and I was knocked out and taken away. I woke up in a village, sold. I escaped and searched for Nicole for years."

They were too young back then to remember their home address or parents' names, only knowing that their home was beautiful and had a Christmas tree in the garden.

But that wasn't enough to find their family.

Raymond remembered Nicole had a small crescent-shaped birthmark on her left hand. A few years ago, he found Nicole, but she was now the heir to an organization. They tried to get her out, but the organization was too powerful.

Winston, hearing this for the first time, realized Nicole's biological parents might still be alive.

Raymond added, "We did a DNA test. Nicole and I are definitely siblings."

"I'm so happy you two found each other. If you find your parents, great. If not, we'll treat you as our own," Patricia said warmly.

Diana wasn't worried at all that Raymond would take Nicole away; she was thrilled to have another "son."

"This will make our family even more lively," Patricia said with a warm smile.

Raymond felt the warmth and beauty of a family for the first time. He looked gratefully at the kind-hearted parents, surprised they accepted him so readily instead of fearing he'd take Nicole away.

"Thank you for taking care of Nicole all these years," Raymond said, standing up and bowing in gratitude.

"No need to thank us. We've always treated Nicole as our own," Diana said, quickly asking him to sit down.

They chatted a bit more, talking about everything Winston had done for Nicole recently.

Nicole listened as they recounted how Winston had frequently gone to her house, chased her to Sunhavenia, and faced many people from the organization alone to give her foster parents a chance to live.

Touched, she felt even more certain about her feelings for Winston in her heart.

"We support you two being together. We're looking forward to your wedding," Diana said gently, holding Winston and Nicole's hands. "You will be happy."

The two of them were deep in love, valuing each other more than their own lives.

Raymond stayed silent. Since their foster parents had agreed, as her brother, he naturally had no objections. But he would keep an eye on Winston and Clara, ensuring Nicole wouldn't suffer any grievances.

"As for your parents, it depends on when you want to explain and take Nicole to visit them," Diana said, not in a hurry. "If you need us to visit, just let us know. We'll prepare all the gifts."

"There is no need. Nicole is the best gift. If my parents see such a beautiful and sensible daughter-in-law, they'll definitely love her."

Diana chuckled at his words.

Patricia then asked about the people who had broken into their home on Fishpond Road and tied them up.

Nicole shared her story about growing up in the orphanage, becoming the heir, and being forced to take poison when she wanted to leave the organization.

The two were shocked and speechless for a long time.

"But don't worry, Abella has already cured the poison in me," Nicole lied.

Diana was still worried, holding Nicole's hand and asking, "Are you feeling unwell anywhere? Any aftereffects?"

"No, I'm fine." Nicole's hand hurt from Diana's grip, but she remained calm, her eyes showing a hint of softness.

Winston thought, 'If Nicole can endure this pain and still act as if nothing is wrong, how much more painful must the poison have been to make her cry in agony?'

"We need to find a way to bring those bad people to justice!" Patricia said, furious upon hearing about Nicole's suffering.

"Abella has already thought of a way, and we're working on it. It's been effective these days," Nicole said, mentioning the recent news and apologizing. "Last time, those people tied you up and sent me a message, but I couldn't save you... I'm really sorry."

"At that time, she was already struggling with the poison, and I was seriously injured. I'm really sorry you had to suffer," Raymond added, feeling deeply guilty.

In that situation, if he had the ability, he wouldn't have let the two elders suffer.
