The speaker was Yasmine Thornton, a big-shot professional Go player with a ton of awards. No one saw it coming that she'd humble herself and ask to be Abella's student.
Yasmine added, "I can tell your skills are way above mine. I really hope you can give me a shot to learn from you. I seriously love Go."
As soon as Yasmine finished, another person stepped up. "If you're not taking students right now, can we at least swap WhatsApp contacts and get to know each other? I'm Manuel Castillo, the Secretary-General of the Go Association. I really admire your Go skills. Your black and white strategies just now were mind-blowing."
"Could you give my kid some pointers?" A woman in the crowd stepped up, holding her child's hand. "My kid's been learning Go for seven years. Every teacher says she's got mad talent. You two are about the same age; you might even hit it off."
"I wanna learn from you too."
Seeing more and more people crowding around her, Abella was about to politely decline when a girl's voice cut through the noise.
"Mr. Wodehouse, I heard the Go King KnightStrategist is also at your birthday bash today. Has he shown up yet?" The speaker was Elsa, smiling gracefully. "If KnightStrategist is here and sees this Go game, would he find it a piece of cake or interesting?"
Only then did the guests remember this guy.

The crowd was itching for the Go King to show up and maybe knock Abella down a peg. Some folks just couldn't handle being outdone by a young girl.
But others were super pumped. If Clarence was all about Abella, they could still try to become students of KnightStrategist.
Word on the street was that in a past world-class man-machine showdown, KnightStrategist beat a robot, blew everyone's minds, and became a legend.
But hardly anyone had actually seen him.
Reporters had grilled his opponents, but no one spilled the beans on his identity, keeping the Go King a total mystery.
Some said he was a suave young dude, others thought he was an old-timer.
No matter his age, the rumors never stopped.
"If he's here, Abella probably wouldn't stand a chance, right?"
"Think we'll get to see him today?"
"Lola, has the Go King shown up?"
Suddenly, Enid's voice cut through the chatter.
She grabbed Lola's hand and asked, "Didn't you say the Go King once taught you? So you're his student too."
Lola wanted to shut her up, but it was too late.
All eyes were on Lola, with looks of shock, surprise, and disbelief.
"Isn't this Lola Medici?"
"She's a student of KnightStrategist?"
"Didn't see that coming."
"What's the big deal? With her status, it's no shock KnightStrategist would pick her as a student."
After all, she was a Medici heiress.
Setting aside talent, the Medici family's clout was huge. If her parents pulled some strings, it wouldn't be shocking for KnightStrategist to teach her.
"Ms. Lola Medici, is your teacher KnightStrategist here?"
"Is he a guy or a girl? Young or old?"
"You're his student, so your Go skills must be solid, right? How about a match with Abella?"
Lola's eyes met Abella's, and she felt a bit guilty.

"They say the Goboard was handmade from a thousand-year-old tree, and the pieces were made from shell fossils buried underground for over 300 years. There's only one set in the world, and if even one piece is lost, it can't be replaced."
Each piece was crystal clear and felt amazing to the touch.
Years ago, when the Go King won the championship, a Go set collector thought he deserved such a set and gifted it to him.
No one expected him to give it to Lola.
