Chapter 719 This Is Too Much
Could it be that Bonnie had already spilled the beans to David about the birthday bash, so he set up a trap and waited for them to walk right into it?
If they could argue that everything before was just a big misunderstanding, then what went down tonight was undeniable, and no amount of arguing would save their butts.
David had seen and heard everything with his own eyes and ears.
They had just laid bare all their inner thoughts.
"You jerks," David said, "I treated you like brothers, but you plotted against me, wishing for my death."
If it were just him, it would be one thing, but they even targeted Caleb, Bonnie, and Abella!
How heartless could they be?
This short whip was a tool passed down from his ancestors to punish family members. Even through thick winter coats, it made them grimace in pain.
"David, we messed up," They backed away, pleading, "It doesn't matter if you beat us to death, but your body has just recovered. It wouldn't be good if you got too worked up."
"When you stabbed me dozens of times earlier, you didn't care about my health. Now that things have been exposed, you're putting on a fake show?" David swung the short whip, lashing them again and again.
Yancy got hit in the face, and a red mark instantly appeared.
Jerold got hit on the head, causing excruciating pain.
Ulysses and Derek, trying to dodge the whip, bumped their heads together, seeing stars and feeling dizzy.
They knew that David was truly disappointed and angry this time!
"David, your lashes have woken me up. I'm worse than an animal!"
"Even if you beat me to death today, I wouldn't have a word of complaint. When I meet our parents in heaven, I will kneel and beg for their forgiveness."
"Then line up and beg for their forgiveness one by one," David said angrily, continuing to whip them without stopping.
They hadn't expected David to be so determined to beat them. Caleb, Bonnie, and Abella blocked the door, and they were on the ninth floor, making it impossible to escape through the window. Even if they did escape, David had ways to bring them back.
They could only cry and beg for mercy.
But David showed no mercy until his hand was too tired to swing the whip anymore. He finally stopped, panting heavily.
Their clothes were torn, exposing their wounds, shivering in the cold winter night.
Yancy was on the brink of death. He crawled to David's feet, grabbing his pant leg and pleading, "David, we're all old now. Spare my life; I don't have many years left."
"David, don't let us die so easily. Let us live in torment and regret for the rest of our lives," Jerold also crawled over, crying and begging, "David, for the sake of my grandchildren, spare my life."
"David, my youngest daughter is about to get married. Please give me a chance to see her in her wedding dress. You know she's my favorite." Ulysses stood in front of David, crying. "David, I promise, after the wedding, I'll take my family and leave. We won't cause you any trouble. We don't want any shares or dividends. You can handle them however you want."
"Yeah, that's right. I'll quit right now and won't mess with the company anymore. David, I'll transfer all my shares to you. We don't want the monthly dividends. You can take back the house and cars whenever you want." Derek also knelt in front of David, tearfully admitting his mistakes. "Just spare my life."
They cried out in unison, "David, we really know we messed up!"
David looked at their pathetic state. A moment ago, they said they wouldn't complain even if he beat them to death, but now they were all clinging to life.
"Your lives are precious, but in your eyes, the lives of me, my son, my daughter-in-law, and my granddaughter are worth less than dirt." After resting, David picked up the whip again and beat them until he was exhausted. "From now on, our brotherhood is over. You have two days. Don't let me see you in Verdania or Libertya again!"
They were stunned, unable to believe what they heard. David was cutting ties with them?
"If there's a next time, I'll take your lives myself. Get out."
They were shocked for a while before tearfully thanking David and quickly leaving.
David's tense nerves finally relaxed, and he was about to collapse.
Abella hurriedly stepped forward to support him.
David looked back at the considerate Abella and thought about the brothers he had treated sincerely for decades, who were not as caring as his newly found granddaughter.
His nose tingled, and the armor of his dignity seemed to fall away. He felt like a tired, old man, weakly saying, "Let's go home."
"Okay," Abella said, supporting him as they left the ward. As they passed the adjacent wards, they could see the bloodied people lying on the beds and the mess on the floor.
At the manor, Lola paced back and forth in her room. It was already 1:30 AM!
She thought, 'Damn Bonnie, so biased, taking Abella for so long and not coming back! She has completely forgotten about me! Tonight, many relatives must have learned that Abella is the true heiress and are surely flattering her! When Bonnie introduces Abella, she must have mentioned that I have no blood relation to the Medici family and am just an adopted daughter!'
The thought made Lola uncomfortable. Bonnie was too much, never considering her feelings!
Especially since they hadn't come back yet.
Who knew if Bonnie and Abella were staying at Derek's house.
And Caleb, who suddenly rushed back and took David away.
He didn't even let her catch up with David.
Originally, with Abella at the birthday party, she could have used the time to bond with David and strengthen their relationship.
Then she thought, 'Does Caleb rush off to take Grandfather to the birthday party to join Bonnie and Abella? Could it be that the four of them are staying at Derek's house, leaving her alone at the manor? This is too much!'
